    These videos have changed my life. I have spent so much money going to psychologists of all sorts and not a single one could find what it felt like exactly, many have even driven me to very false conclusions. Everything is making sense now. Everything you describe is so accurate and vivid exactly as I experience it myself. Thank you Ali from my heart

      Thank You Ali!
      You are like a Coast Guard like Emergency Rescue Helicopter entering into a person's likely devastating "disaster area" where, in this case, there are very little psychological tools, resources and knowledge and/or "know how" of how to get out.
      The person here merely has to grab the cable (your information) and if not pulled out then provided with the supplies and resources - again information - in order to be able to make it through the Fire -storms, Hurricanes and Tornadoes which is metaphorically considered and experienced as OCD.

    All the other videos just explain what OCD are without giving us how and what to get out from this. You give us the way and also the encouragement, such a light in the dark. Thankyou, you save so many peoples lives Ali.

    Ali, I have come so far in recovery thanks to you. A year ago I was crippled with pure o thoughts that made living life very difficult. I used your methods and am in a much better place. In fact that’s what brings me to my question. I sometimes get the urge to think back on ocd thoughts that use to really bother me and now that I do not get these false memories like I used to I can’t understand how back then I believed these false memories so intensely. This gives me a lot of anxiety because it makes me feel like I was a bit crazy or something back then to feel and think the way I did and that just leads me to feel as if maybe I could have done something in the past and not remember because I was crazy or something. I just do not get how I am put in situations that use to make me have horrible false memories and now I’m not triggered at all but back then I was sure I was doing something awful. This is really holding me back from fully moving on.

    I obsess endlessly about an actual health condition that I have. So much so that I can barely function from fear. My fear is out of proportion. I guess that's OCD.

    Hi Ali, thank you for this video. Below the video, I notice there are many links for different types of OCD but I don't see one for CONTAMINATION OCD - do you have a link for this still common and distressing type of OCD?

    could it be old if I like go my old memories through in my mind like 24/7. like what if the things I have done are really "bad" and what if I'm actually bad person. its like not just intrusive thoughts its like "what if I have harmed many people"? because I have done some weird things

    I don’t even know when I’m disregarding and when I’m not, because they all feel so real, so how can I even track the time accurately other than guessing until I master the skill of disregarding? Won’t be a smooth process then.

      These are the symptoms of ocd,please do not disregard those symptoms.With ocd comes depression again the depression induces ocd.First just talk to him and say him you believe in him and we will get over it together.Then take him to a good psychiatrist and book few therapy session.

      I would start Ali Greymond sessions, it’s OCD that makes you feel awful especially as a young adult or teen. So please be supportive as you are, stay strong and trust God. You wouldn’t be in any situation you cannot handle. But do productive and active recovery work and ia he will fully recover permanently soon!!!

    • @cycolburn99

      Sherilyn Dixon I actually went through this. Doing compulsions to prevent things from happening became pointless if I already got the conditions. Is that clear?

      I have pure o and I was doing better till I got a sinus infection then I had a horrible relapse I have harm ocd

    • @cycolburn99
      @cycolburn99 4 года назад

      Sherilyn Dixon I see. I thought your compulsion was related to your sinus, I guess not. Lots of things can influence anxiety like early AM our cortisol is high & serotonin is small. Hormones
