    Thumbs up from Montreal ! You saved us a lot of time, paper and money. I was able to remove the trapped sock without dismantling the dryer, doing some contorsion with my arm and hand… Manufacturers should install some kind of hatch at this level to make our life easier. Many thanks again !

    You just saved us hundreds of dollars!! 🤸‍♂️🤸‍♀️🤸🏻 Samsung could't help!! Just for the repairman to show up was 1/2 the price of a new dryer. Your video was EXACT!! So so very grateful!! May God bless you for making it!!!!

    A life saver ! I got lucky and was able to replace my dryer ( that had been broken for a year) with a practically new samsung dryer. After two months, it just gave out and was devastated 😂😂 two weeks of looking for solutions on RUclips and NOTHING!! I stopped looking, and BAM 😂😂 a washcloth was stuck

    Similarity of symtoms were so strong in my case, I gave a try to your approach to find a piece of cloth locked exactly to the same spot! It is back on track now, thanks

      Hi there, what did you do for the fix?

    • @appliancerepairshorts
      @appliancerepairshorts  3 месяца назад

      You might need to remove some lint from the element. Hopefully you cleaned it out while you had it opened up. If it wasn’t a lot, the smell will go away

    My dryer is making a buzzing sound for 1 second as I hold the "start" button... The motor isn't spinning... It's a rear blower assembly, so I removed the back panel and checked the blower wheel and it looks fine... I can spin it and watch the drum move from behind. It still makes the buzz sound and won't start. I've also tried holding the door open and holding the door button while rotating the drum and pressing start and it doesn't do anything either... I'm almost certain it's the motor... My question is, would I be better off buying another cheap dryer or just buying a new motor? It's an older electric dryer, so to replace the motor I might as well replace the felt seals, rollers, and etc.... which would be pretty much as much as a new cheaper dryer... Second part to that question, would taking it apart and cleaning the motor and lubricating it with oil possibly work to get things moving again?

      Send me a model number, what kind of dryer, Bosch? You might have a broken belt, belt switch, something caught inside. Yes definitely open it up and check. On the lubricant, no unfortunately you can’t do it. You can try cleaning the motor and see if it works. Lint can stop a centrifugal switch from making contact

    Hello, my dryer had the exact same sound and spin issues as in the video. I opened it up to see the blower which didn’t spin smoothly due to lint. I cleaned it out, so now it spins very smoothly and the drum does as well but when I turn it back on it makes the same sound but turns very slowly in a jolt like fashion. Any ideas? Should I try manually spinning to start?

    • @appliancerepairshorts
      @appliancerepairshorts  Месяц назад

      Yes you have a failure in the motor. Try this, open the door and press the door switch and with a third hand as you press start turn the drum. If it runs, your motor is going or you have lots of lint in it. Keep me updated

    And if there isn’t anything stuck in the motor?

    • @appliancerepairshorts
      @appliancerepairshorts  9 месяцев назад

      If I’m not mistaken, it had something caught in the blower wheel

      @@JS-te4gzyes Samsung refrigerators have way too many issues, but LG has their own with bad/ leaks in the sealed system. Both are bad, but at least with Samsung, you will have a particularly working fresh food section . LG you won’t have anything. LG is getting better
