Bill, thanks for the video. I have a question about the voltages. When I checked the connections of the cord at the dryer. I got 114v on one side and 117v on the other side. On the 240 v side it varied between 235 and 245v. I did check the cord for continuity and it was fine. Is the less than 120v significant enough to cause dryer not to turn on at all? I get no lights on control panel at all. Once again thanks for detailed video. My multi meter broke at some point ,so I could not get readings at the outlet or breaker. Thanks, Fred
Hi Michael, great video. Question, on the selector knob, is there an indicator mark on it so when You turn the knob the indicator points at the printed cycles on the panel, or do You just turn the knob and look at the digital screen to select?
I’m having a issue the dryer is not powering on it was running fine earlier in the day went out a few hours latter to do a bother load and it won’t cut on. Unplugged, tried the power button reset, and checked voltage. I have 240 120/120 at the plug and the dryer wire hookups. Any idea I would be thankful
Thanks for watching & that’s no fun. It can be a couple things. Since the reset procedure didn’t work, you may have something electronically internal that has failed. Most common cause is a failed control board. This can be a pretty friendly DIY project. Please keep us posted, us fellow DIY’ers need to stick together..
Hi my dryer display lights and powers on and off however when I press the power switch nothing happens. I did hear a “ pop”as I walked by and then it stopped spinning. Could you help please ?
Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. Any update? We recommend performing a full system reset. Below are two links to videos showing reset procedures. ruclips.net/video/CZpuoZYwpow/видео.html ruclips.net/video/5PINGwykgkk/видео.html 😎👍🔧🔩
@@DIYwithMichaelBorders Thank you but we took it apart and found out it was the idle pulley that broke. We have ordered the part and will be replacing it soon. Couldn’t of taken it apart without your help thank you again for the great video.
Thanks for watching Rick. We wrapped electrical tape around the crimped wire for safety purposes. Hopefully the machines aren’t coming off the assembly line like this...🤔 We took over these machines when we bought our house a year back. It’s very possible that the previous owners had that machine worked on and the technician or the homeowners accidentally put the control panel back together and crimped the wire. Hope all is well Rick. Enjoy your day. Big Kentucky Derby day today. 🐎 🐎 🐎🐎
Hi, i got kinda same problem. 1 year ago, after i moove, my dryer wont start, no power at all (nothing at the control board, no light inside). I put it in parts to test and find nothing wrong (current went in, everything seems fine. I put it back together waiting for a tech and put my palm on the power button by mistake and everything come to life. It works fine until today. This morning, my wife press the power and it start for about 3 sec and than shutdown and again, no more power, no lights, nothing. Do you have any idea what can it be ? Thanks Edit : Find the problem. Wall connector (in the wall, not the outlet from the machine) was not correctly installed.
