Thank you so much. I watched so many videos that weren't the problem and was about to give up when I found this video and this was exactly what my problem was. I will be forever grateful.
Thank you so much. Just moved in a new home & previous owners left the Samsung dryer & I forgot to put back the filter & it sucked up 2 ankle socks. It's now fixed with your help. Now going to put up a sign don't forget to put filter in 😮
Thank you so much! Just applied this knowledge this AM and had the exact same issue--a sock in the blower. You saved me some time and money! Much much appreciated.
Wow, this was a perfect step-by-step, although i was left with 3 extra screws. LOL. I didn't have a jammed drum with clothing...it was just really stuck. if it weren't for me seeing in your video that it should freely spin, i would have just called it quits, but i gave it a stern rotation and it came loose. I cleaned the back and front really good and now it's working. Thanks again. BTW, good background music to keep the sucpence going :-).
Hey man! I'm having kind of the same issue with my dryer except there's nothing stuck in the blower wheel. With the top exposed I engage the dryer and it makes a brief hum but if I use my hand to push the drum a little bit then it starts spinning. Is there anything I should be looking to lubricate on the drum track or anything like that? The belt is tight and centered. There's nothing in the blower area and a vacuumed as much of the inside as I could.
@@appliancerepairamerican You could have easily said the motor. That's what every other video said. But I'll make sure your video gets the attention it deserves
I have a an older Samsung dryer than this model with the same problem. However, I can open up the top and manually turn the drum and it starts. 🤷🏻♂️ opened up the front and checked the blower wheel at the bottom. Cleaned it up a bit, but nothing was caught in it.
I also have a Samsung machine that gets power to the control panel, hit start and motor hums and drum does not spin. i removed the top panel exposing the drum im able turn drum by hand but belt remains in place. I took the machine further apart and there is no obstruction on the blower, pulley system looks fine. I put machine all back together and noticed that drum was now spinning and belt doing what its supposed to do. Turned the machine on, motor hum drum attempted to turn and again no dice. and once again drum spins by hand and belt remains in place. What am I missing?

Thank you for the comment. I apologize for not responding sooner
There is a Jerry Seinfeld joke there somewhere
Thank you for the video. It wasn't the fix for my dryer, but I felt empowered and I was able to clean that internal filter. 😊
Glad it helped!
My dryer is doing the exact same thing. Thanks.
Great video.
You're welcome!

My biggest regret is getting rid of our old school dryer and taking in a samsung dryer.
wisdom comes at the expense of experience. I agree

You need a new motor. Here is a video, but it is an LG. should be very similar repair. ruclips.net/video/zrQoT8KWwnE/видео.htmlsi=ql_LcSk914rqjabO
I have the same unit, same symptoms.
Hums and won't spin. I checked and there was no obstruction. Any thoughts? thank you.
I apologize for the late response. I have a video coming out tomorrow that deals with this exact issue
How much did that repair cost?
Dig the life/work style

The Samsung dryer won’t change or start on what I selected
