    I've owned one sd4k and two sd43's over the years. The second time around the sd43 really grew on me. They're both phenomenal pieces honestly. The 43mm is better if you want some wrist presence without being over the top. The sd4k at 40mm is a little chunky in the middle but the matte dial and flat crystal with those slim lugs... You can't go wrong with one of these models

      I still have the SD4K and you are right about its chunky size, as it can feel a little top heavy

    I bought one last month, it was not planned but when the opportunity came up I had to take it. My 116600 is effectively NOS because the previous owner didn't like how heavy it was compared to a Yachtmaster or Datejust and never wore it. Here's the kicker, he sold it to me at its original retail price. Considering the current market price and its likely trajectory over the next ten years I almost feel guilty (almost 😂).

    I bought mine for below retail, and now it's worth more than 5% of the house I own. I didn't buy it as an investment, but because I friggin lusted after it when it was first released at Basel 2014. This is one of the greatest utilitarian watches ever made, and I wouldn't be upset if I take it to the grave.

    Older review but spot on. A sleeper for sure. Besides the short production run (introduced 2014 Basel, out of the catalog end of 2016) its also a transitional model. Last of the old school 40mm tapered lug case, no cyclops but has all the modern upgrades. A very unique SD Sub. Collectors/investors have started to recognize this and are buying this watch.

      Yep it’s the last of the true Sea Dwellers and come ten years or so I think it could be a very collectible and sort after model

    Just added this remarkable timepiece to my Rolex collection. A Classic already as the 44 & 43 mm cases are too large for most of us and I appreciate the lack of a cyclops

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  3 года назад +2

      Its the last classic Sea Dweller 40mm HEV and no cyclops just a shame it was a flop for them as it just didn't sell well at all

    Good explanation.
    I have the same watch in a combination of black and gold also without no The clock is the same as this one here except that it has an 18 carat gold plated center band. Amateurs think it is a fake but it is original with all certificates.

      Hi and thanks 👍🏻 , but are you thinking about the 126603 ? that is a 43mm the one in the video is the SD4K ref 116600 and is the last 40mm Sea Dweller Rolex ever made . The bracelet should be should be solid gold as Rolex don't do gold plating. What reference does it say on the paper work you have Sir ??
