Lovely watch i want one
It's a real beast 👍🏻
I have one for sale
I'd get it on Ebay
How good would this look in PVD or DLC
Now your talking Adam I really like the sound of that, I do the PVD models from Sinn
Only just discovered your channel. A great review.
Thanks Simon I do you enjoy the channel
The guy who designed it did a very good job. It’s a lot nicer to look at than some of the modern Elma
I agree, I was using this only yesterday as I was servicing a ETA 2893 GMT, Frank the designer has now done a fully automatic one which is even cooler
Well. Still a great review 😊 You’ve really come along sir.
Yeah this one is a really old video and things have changed so much
It’s beautiful, and the story is fantastic.
I think its gorgeous and need one in my live 😊
Mühle Teutonia sportchrono please pleeeease 🤤
As soon as First Class Watches get one in I'm on it 👍🏻
Hi mate, have you ever had one of these "tech filled" Sinn watches serviced? How much does this cost? Stunning watch, thanks for the video.
Yes but it was some years back and cost me 650 euros. Now I'd service them myself and for go the AR
Nice Video. I used to work in an AD (not Sinn) and we had a very nice highly engineered Breitling guillotine cutter that cut the strap perfectly square in all planes. My thoughts are to cut one at a time even early on to practice cutting and check that leaving a bit extra still fits in clasp and fits well, as it's difficult and messy to trim off a small amount. As you get closer to the right size it's very tempting to cut two off, but 100% do not. I would use a big sharp kitchen knife. The bigger the better. I used a meat cleaver as its very solid/straight and you can make sure it is straight in both directions before simply pushing down, possibly rocking slightly while keeping in full width contact with the rubber, rather than having to slice through from one side to the other. This should give the squarest cut possible. It goes through surprisingly easily. If it's a three fold you also have to consider the final position of the clasp as you cut (another reason to do one at a time) as the Sinn strap has a dedicated 6 and 12 O'Clock side. Also make sure you have the clasp the correct way around! I have the newer three fold with micro adjustment, and was able to leave one extra piece on the strap than the instructions said to. Lastly, if you are nearly there, wear the watch for a few days before cutting another section off, as rubber wears differently to other straps and it may be best not to cut further.
You are right I only used a cutter because its something most people have to hand, A meat cleaver is the best but if I use that I may of had some funny comments, plus most peoples kitchen knifes are not that sharp, I'm one of then sad guys who has a set of water stones and loves to keep them in tip top condition :)
That’s very interesting - full review please. 🙏
It’s out tomorrow 17:30 👍🏻
Using a drill like that cannot work. It is acceleration and deceleration which make the flywheel rotate relative to the watch casing and hence wind the watch. You would need to repeatedly stop and reverse the drill.
Hi Keith there is a weighted rotor in the back of this which winds a pinion, think of an old fashioned alarm clock were you had to wind a key, The drill instead winds the hole clock and the weighed part of the rotor stays at the bottom like you holding the key as the alarm clock spins this should charge the capacitor. I see where your coming from thinking its a fly wheel but this isn't the case Sir 👍🏻
Beautiful piece!!
Yeah its gorgeous
I absolutely love this channel. Go hard and stay strong. Regards Newcastle Australia from another Sinn Industrial Design Appreciation Devote
Much appreciated Frank 👍🏻
The bezel is not aligned...I really hate that
Its a non racketing bezel so that means is 100% prefect as there are no clicks to mess up
Hi Barry, this is a watch that means business. It's unbeatable in its field. Your "review" is 15 minutes of pure delight. Remember that it's impossible to review a Sinn, all we can do is appreciate them... Thanks Barry, VG Bob 🍾🥂
I can talk forever and a day about them, I'm really looking forward to their new releases they have coming in the next few weeks Bob
@ClickSpringReview I think we all are!
Just thought it wouldn't hurt to have one in 41 mm, too 😉
Yeah a U2 (50) 🤔 now that would be amazing
I can see you now have the new clasp on your 104. In your previous clasp-comparison video you opted for the old clasp over the new, due to it being slimmer and more comfy. Did you change your mind about it? I am a bit on the fence of which clasp to choose for the 104. Sinn told me I could get either (with the old being slightly cheaper). I like the idea of the old being slimmer, but new and microadjust seems cool and the pushbuttons seem easier to open than the fold-over clasp as well.
I fitted it on for the review as I wanted to be up to date, I still prefer the older clasp personally if they have offered you a good deal on it I'd take it Sir
I been wanting to add a Longines watch to my small collection for some time and been looking at various models. In my opinion the Longines Spirit 37mm is the perfect size for my 6 3/4 inch wrist, the longer lugs make the watch appear slightly larger. I also adore that the date window is at 6 o’clock, as this makes it perfectly symmetrical. I get a buzz when it’s the 6th of the month as it makes the numbers perfectly aligned. On the larger models, they sit at 3 o’clock and slightly to the left which appears unbalanced. I’m pleased that I purchased the black dial with brown strap version, as it gives it a smart casual look. Along with your review, I went and purchased the watch via Francis & Gayes website.
The 37mm should be ok I believe another watch to check out is the Sinn 556 its 38.5mm but has a shorter lug to lug distance. I now work with First Class Watches and Ryan has also left Francis & Gaye
I enjoy watching your reviews, they are informative. I initially stumbled on your Tissot Complication review as I was looking for a skeleton watch at the time. I also looked at the Hamilton Khaki 38mm which I believe you reviewed but it wasn’t for me.
Have you checked out Nomos ? ruclips.net/video/SIsaQVhnyAo/видео.htmlsi=rGt1TG2xarQtLm9-
@@ClickSpringReview Not my cub of tea I’m afraid.
This is a great 39mm Laco and just below a grand I now have it on a bracelet ruclips.net/video/p5InSgMxRWc/видео.htmlsi=5BY3uSDnFBB6WKvm
Love it too, I wear it under rough conditions at work inside steam vessels…Maybe the best material you can use for a watchcase, german U-boat steel. I only remember some watches made of wolframcarbid (rado in the 70s), which may be more robust
Rado were really into their hard metals and ceramics back in the day
Impressive watch. Wish I was a submariner!
Yeah I have so many dive watch but never go near 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks. I have this problem with new watch...I will try this method.
Hope it works for you Bill
Nice on Barry, awesome watch and a better take on a GMT than most 👍 can’t go wrong with a Sinn.
Exactly matey this model is just classic old school Sinn
Thanks for featuring another classic EZM - well done on the "Einsatzzeitmesser" :-) Cheers from #sinncity Frankfurt!
Thanks guys look forward to seeing your new releases in the coming weeks
like it.
It really did surprise me to be fair
Nice video. Thanks. That watch is far too big for me, so I bought the 856 UTC several years ago.
Buy yourself a G-Shock mudmaster and wear it solidly for a few weeks- all of a sudden, NOTHING will feel too big and your watch world will massively open up 😬
😆👍🏻
@ LOL, I've got one but only wear it when it's hot. All the best.
Overdue review and very well done Barry. I love this model proper beast
I was thinking we needed a Sinn in are lives
I think a silicon strap might make a big watch look better on a smaller wrist than the bracelet
Ok I see what mean there, Another option is the custom leather strap I have on the UX I show on my wrist
I need a red silicon strap!! I call it a Di**do on my wrist 😂 Scary to cut though and a professional strap cutting tool would be worth the effort if you can get the use of one.
LOL I have done a video on sizing and cutting of the silicone strap
Love my U212 47mm 😈 but actually thinner at 14.5mm. Silicon strap makes it even more of a beast!
Cool I have reviewed the 212 before its a beast you don't really see much of
@@ClickSpringReview I got it out to wear after watching your video. Absolutely love it. Great hearing about all the tech stuff. Would love to visit the Sinn factory one day.
Wonder if it would look good on a ARTEM Deployant strap ?
Yeah I think I'd agree with you there Sir
I'm very happy with my UX, so I don't need a U2 at all. However, I look forward to what Sinn is bringing us this year. Their last few LEs have been muted (the Hai U50?, T50?).
You only have to wait another 2 weeks, should be interesting
Love my skx 007
I have an SKX007 myself which I swapped the movement over to the NH35
If you can’t say something nice you shouldn’t say anything at all. That’s how I was raised though I’m not perfect, only human, and from time to time I falter. I digress. Thanks for the thorough and constructive review on a heretofore unknown brand to me.
Well said Matt, and glad you enjoyed the video ☺️
I think it's time for Sinn to do a U50 version of this watch, it's an awesome looking beast! But they have to keep the dial the way it is here, they made the T50 and U50 Hydro dials too simplified. These are much toolier, interesting and special looking with the more robust markers! So just make it a straight down-size like they did from the U1 to the U50.
Honestly I think your right and its sometime I will mention to them, Should be interesting to see what new models Sinn have for us in the next few weeks. I believe they are very proud of one of them so lets what and see
🔥🔥🔥🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪👍👍👍
They don't get much more hardcore than this
@ They are the no BS masters!
Yep they sure are 👍🏻
As a former heat treatment tradesman here in Australia, 1200HV-1500HV is bloody hard! I was wearing my Muhle Glashutte SAR yesterday & it only has a lousy 1000m water resistance. 🥱 Time to upgrade & deepen the bath tub!🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣 love it
I've owned all the related Sinn over the past 5 years, but none stuck in the collection (U1, U2 SE, U212, UX). Liked but didn't love. Finally got a chance to own the U2 when a too good to pass up deal came along last year, and it seems I saved the best for last. I was originally thinking it would be ideal for travel when you don't want the safety risk that the bigger dollar pieces seem to come with. In spite of it being the least costly piece in my collection, it still manages to grab wrist time away from the others. I think because it is so unique, it provides a refreshing change from some of the other pieces. I threw it on a high quality after-market rubber (Zealande) and it is a perfect combo. The integrated rubber and thick clasp that came stock are great when you're out walking around, but when you're behind the computer like I often am, not at all comfortable. The after-market strap solved that nicely.
As I say this is my 2nd U2s and the UX I sold and ending up buying back some 6 years later :) I sometimes wear the U2 on an ISO strap but love the Sinn Silicone especially the red one with this
mine was not so mighty
I didn't know you owned a U2
Love my U1 and just a few days ago I was thinking of another Sinn...
Which model are you thinking of going with ?
@@ClickSpringReview My wife prefers big watches (she chose the U1 B for me) whilst I need something that's extremely legible and tough. Likely the UX S or UX SDR is the most likely choice.
My wife's the same she has tiny wrists but loves to wear big watches. I love my UX I have both the standard GSG9 and a black bezel so can swap it around to a SDR. I'd love an all black model, did you see the custom black leather strap I had on it ?
@@ClickSpringReview Oh oh...sorry for misleading you but what I meant was that my wife prefers big watches on me! I saw the leather strap which looks quite handsome (the stitching is very fine) but, since I currently live in Singapore, I can't use leather anything.
Aww I see now 🙃😊
Oh my man… we’ve been back and forth for a few years now but you know my fully tegimented ezm5 and ball engineer II magneto S are my babies 👶
Cool how's your EZM5 holding up is the tegimented doing it job ?
@ one stuff on the bezel from a concrete wall at work and the clasp is pretty beat up but I absolutely love the gun metal look to the piece
I have one on my wrist. love it
Nice which version did you go for ?
@@ClickSpringReview The U2 SDR tegimented it was a toss up between this and the U212. The beauty of it being tegimented after 2 years it still looks brand new
Love the U2 - have actually spent the last few days looking into it so very well timed video. Fingers crossed they decide to recreate the U2 in the size of the U50. Thanks for sharing
Now that would be something 👍🏻
I hope not I can’t afford anymore watches and that scenario would be irresistible
Yep I unfortunately I know that scenario all to well 🤪
That’s a lovely watch. I wonder if the clever folks at Sinn could ever make a hydro quartz version because the legibility of your UX is insanely good. Not that I should be looking at any of your reviews as I’ve just heard my Arktis has arrived and I can pick it up this weekend - woohoo! Keep up the good work, these videos are a lovely treat. Your passion and knowledge really comes through.
Cheers Mike, Bet you can't wait to get your hand on the Arktis thats a seriously cool model. PS I've a Hanhart video coming Saturday you may like
@ I can’t wait. Sadly I don’t think my boss would allow me to skip work to pick it up today - some people are so unreasonable! Looking forward (with an empty bank balance mind you) to that next review.
That is simply unreasonable of the guy lol
Wow serendipity I was just on eBay looking for one today. Luckily the few for sale are in Japan and Bob got the one I want. Thanks for showing off an oldie but goodie.
The all black was my choice and some times if I'm lucky bob lets me wear it 😁 The SDR does look good also
Pretty class
Sure is and something different for Damasko
That new Day/Date they have is gorgeous, in the "old radium". Their bracelets have a mental price tag
I completely agree Anthony
@@ClickSpringReview looking forward to your review of same. 👍🏼👍🏼😆
Prestex is a very cool brand! Glad to see them get some air time. I really love the price point of these time pieces, a lot of beautiful designs and quite accessible
Its not a brand I've had dealings with before but have to say I was impressed
Give us a Glashütte Original 🥰
I've not reviewed one to date, I may have to contact them and ask if I can get one
@ClickSpringReview Please, think it will be awesome🤤
