You have a nice voice, a soothing voice, and a calm demeanor. Even my husband comes in to watch your videos. We especially love the weather videos. Keep on trucking!
Congratulations on 60,000 subscribers, Kurt. I/we truly enjoy your vlogs. Your family is blessed. We are blessed to have you driving all those miles to get the goods to us. Having Opie riding along from time 2 time makes it even funner. He's a good doggie boy. ❤
Many folks don't realize how those cable systems in the center ditch work. It's similar to the arresting system on an aircraft carrier and they save many lives every year. This day was likely another one of those. Just for the record, I watch(ed) many of your videos but mostly on my TV which doesn't allow me to give you a like. Be assured I enjoyed every one of them. Stay safe out there.
I enjoy your videos. I have huge respect for truckers. It's a tough job, and they are the lifeblood of the USA. Stay safe, man. (BTW-I drive a school bus.)
When I was a little girl, my Dad was a full time semi truck mechanic. I LOVED going with him for his little test drives. He is semi retired now, but I still find myself admiring and respecting the trucks on a daily comute.
Lumpers fees, long waits to get unloaded and getting burned on back hauls is the main reasons my Wife and I stopped hauling refrigerated freight, the final straw for us was hauling Nestle products to a cold storage in Selkirk NY and our dispatcher sending us to Morton Salt in Silver Springs NY to pickup a return load to Anderson Indiana, they overloaded us by 3k and pointed to their signs, " Not Responsible for overloaded Trailers" I got off of the 80/90 Toll road and had to set for 3 hours until the scale house closed on Southbound 69!!! Now we haul auto parts from Anderson to Madison Alabama 5 days a week for the Toyota plant!!! Stay safe out here!!! One more subscriber!!! 👍👍👍👍
I'm 82yr old. Retired from trucking 10yr ago. Started driving in 1962. I've done everything in the trucking and transportation field except own a truck. I truly enjoy your RUclips videos. Brings back many memories. God bless you and your family! Be safe! Keep it pure! Keep it simple!
That is scary. I would be on shaky legs for a while. I hope everyone involved is ok. Yes, to hot for the puppy, that would just be asking for trouble. YES! 60k!! 😃 so happy that your channel is still growing..😄 stay safe out there 👍🙃😊🦮🐕🦺🐕🦺
Love your channel. Can't wait for each new video to drop. So glad to see you wearing that reflective vest. In November 2013 my cousin was run over by a distracted truck driver in the parking lot of a Walmart Distribution Center near Monroe, GA and dragged several miles before someone was able to flag down the driver. It was a gruesome scene. My cousin normally wore his vest, but for some reason, not that night. He didn't survive. The truck driver says he never saw him. I couldn't bear to see something like that happen to you. Here's wishing you and your lovely extended family an awesome, amazing, fun and safe 4th of July.
Really enjoying your channel Kurt, big USA road trip fan and nice to follow you around. Tuning in from a world of investment management here in the UK so broad fan base!! and nice to see so much blue sky…even if it is 4500 miles away!! Keep up the good work!
i have enjoyed all your content so congrats and thanks for the ride. i wonder if i can go back on there property, maybe they have forgotten me by now ;]
60,000 - man, how did that strike you when you first heard? Wondered how or why you were able to accomplish this? Like everyone else on here, we want to tell you we SEE you. We SEE how hard you’re working and how much you do for your family. How much you do for others not even related to you! We recognize good when we see it. And it, my friend, is you. Safe travels, Kurt. We love you, big guy. 💕🛣️🚛
So i see you roll with Skippy creamy peanut butter (me too) although Jif is the #1 in the country. Congrats on the big 60k . I recognized you have a much larger percentage of subcribers who comment on your vlogs, other than other trucking channels . Im proud of Uber dad & yourself for that achievement. SAFE TRAVELS. PRAY EVERYONE IS OK IN THAT ACCIDENT 🙏
Car haulers used to make a mint in the unionized days. Just like everything else going to the crapper. Tanks as well. Your sound XFX are right there with a Mel Gibson movie. Can you give us another boom, bash, pow. I’m explaining Batman to my grandson. Sittin’ in pickle park at the scene of an accident.
I was about three videos in when I realized Im watching a guy drive a truck and talk to a dog. Im subscribed now, and feel like a ride along. Keep doing what your doing. I cant explain why I enjoy this so much, and you cant explain why you do this. So were both nuts. 😆
Hopefully that will be the closest you get to an accident. Glad you are ok and Congrats on the 60K. Looking forward to the 75K. Stay safe and say hi to the family for me.
My uncle was an o/o. He mostly drove for a food distributor in Baltimore (B Green) making runs to Rochester NY for Ragu (now defunct) and Buffalo for Cheerios. The road has improved some but when he was driving it was route 15 through Pennsylvania-a two-lane road with some really steep grades. I will always remember his stern talking to about safety around tractor trailers and getting out of their way going downhill because they needed the extra momentum to get up the next hill. He also impressed upon me speed and the fact that with all that weight a tractor trailer cannot stop quickly. Uncle Bob has passed away but I think about what he taught me every time I’m headed out of D.C. to Maine on I-95 or heading south on I-81. No matter how tempting, I don’t pass on the inside and always give you guys lots of room when returning to the driving lane (after passing on the left!). Be safe out there
Hey SCHIMDT. Glad you're okay and safe. 🙏🏻 For those that was involved in that wreck. I'm to try to figure out where you were and Google wrecks in that area. Safe Travels Mr SCHIMDT 🚛💨💨💨💨
Back in the day,the carrier i drove for had some carrier reefers and they were super loud,so loud that i had to put ear plugs in to sleep.later on they switched over to whisper quiet thermo kings.what a difference.
Hi from Scotland Kurt, youe posts have a calming effect during these insane times we're living in. Congrats on reacing 6ok subscribers. Feels like I'm riding along with you in the cab. You have a lovely family, and appreciate you involving us in your vacations, fishing trips, etc. Keep them coming! ❤❤👍👍👏👏
You're so funny. I have a habit of putting 2 words together and make one and my hubby looks at me. I tell him I'm a busy women and i dont have time to for full sentences..focus and keep up! Lol
Hey you went to Krogers warehouse. I go by there every other day going to Franklin,IN. I deliver john deere parts there. To bad wasn't able to catch you there. Stay safe and hammer down.
I got to watch a car go under the trailer of a truck that just passed me and was pulling in front of me to run front door across Ohio. Instantly killed family of four. That was 1989. To this day it still bothers me from time to time. Keep the shiny side up and stay safe
I’ve always been surprised hearing about those lumper fee’s. I haul hay and occasionally we gotta pay the loading or unloading. The hay squeeze that costs about 240,000 new costs about 130.00 a load on average. Takes the guy about 45 mins.
From one grumpy old bugger who is a steering wheel attendant here in Aussy land, You just do it right, Serious, Humor & just being true and that what makes watching you enjoyable.. Not over the top in your face presentation. Do not change, doing things right....
You are never boring! I appreciate your calm demeanor, in this day and age it is refreshing. I drove trucks for over 45 years, so I know how hard it can be to stay calm and keep a perspective. Love your channel.
yea thats not an easy feeling... i had my closest median jumper back in 2016 on the 85 just out of Atlanta he rolled and literally stopped on my left steer tire... we just got to maintain calmed throughout it all...
Hey Schmidt, thank the Lord, it missed you. I'm glad to hear that your truck and trailer were unscathed. Gotta remember to be sure to check the clearance to open those doors! Love your video, brother. Please be safe out there. God bless you, sir!
We (UK) have stopped drivers from entering the dock, but at least we do not have a labour bill. It's all about H&S (which must have cost industry a fortune).
I so enjoy your posts, and pray you stay safe on the road. I live in Milwaukee WI and would love to meet up with you sometime in your travels. Thank you for the interesting RUclips posts.
Can't say it enough, a BIG thank you to you and all the other truckers out there that spend tireless hours on the road and have to put up with crazy (dumb ass) drivers. I have the utmost respect for you guys keeping our shelfs stocked, gas tanks filled, you name it. Thank You!
#66 I drive a Motor Home and had close encounters similar to yours. One was on I-55 in Missouri, North Bound. A car zipped across from south bound, in front of me and a semi-truck then struck a tree on the north bound side. Two Semi's and myself pulled over to the right and rendered aid to his burning car. Using our fire extinguishers, the fire was out. Two Truck Drivers were trying to extract the motorist (only person in the car). I called 911 to get Police, Fire, Ambulance enroute. Within 5 minutes the Sheriff was first and then the Calvery arrived. The motorist was extracted by "JAWS" and the Fire Chief gave all of us Kudos for getting the fire out. According to The Highway Patrol, he was Drunk!!
1982 a friend bought two trucks, ask if i wanted to drive one. Sure, i had no experience NONE never rolled a tire...second load ever they told me at receiving office I would unload and stack it or pay someone else to...NO WAY Im the driver you ordered it.. long story...i got thrown out of the office ...pulled up about 5 feet from the dock turned off my unit( meat load) 90° , got in the sleeper.. Id never heard such a thing. blablabla. i ended up payin. Ive never understood or agreed to payin lumpers.. had several stories more bout it. retired 3 yrs ago. love your channel
I just learned what “subscribing” was. I search for your channel every week to see if you’ve released anything new. I can’t believe I didn’t know about that feature.

We despise traffic. Nice video.
Your videos are great. I enjoy following you.
