Just FYI. Mad scientist’s are allowed to be messy. You can’t make an omelette without scrambling a few eggs Daniel. Just mind blowing results with this method. The applications are limited only by one’s imagination.

Fascinating, Daniel. Love your experiments. I used your dot of clear glue in resin technique and did an experimentation of my own with it. I tested to see if I could pour one color on top of another and not have to wait until the first was cured, and it worked! It was a small tree, so I don’t know if it would work on a bigger project. The video will go up during my Christmas themed ones, and I do mention you as inspiring me. 😊
You did it, Daniel! Knew you would! 😊💕 These pendants are stunning and so unique! My mind is dizzy with all the ideas whirling through it. 😵 I am so grateful to you for your channel, and all the crazy-cool adventures you take us on. You are beyond generous in sharing. 💕😊❤
Hi!! Absolutely amazing!!! Both video 195 and the latter! I plan to make some underwater animals, corals ... or rocks for seascape. I have to study well what to do first! Thank you so much for everything !!
I want to echo what everyone else has said so well. Your experiments are aimed for ease of use and what can be commonly used for ingredients. SO appreciated❤❤❤
I love how these experiments are using classic everyday items we all can get cheap or even may already have. Thank you! This is such a great idea to make homemade epoxy putty.
Wow Daniel, your ideas just keep turning my mind with so many possibilities!! I've doublet pendant that has an opal layer through the middle of jet and was wondering if I could try and make something like it using this new putty invention. I was thinking about other colour shards through the opaque black but I think this is way cooler and has set my mind bouncing off in another direction altogether!! 🤔 You a such and inventor and so kind at sharing all of this experimentation with us all. Thankyou so much. ❤❤
I was telling a friend last night about your channel. While I was on the phone with her she watched one of the baby lotion videos. Well she’s hooked so she subscribed.
I have seen so many resin-ers giving credit to you, well deserved. Liking this putty stuff, so many uses, love the layers. How annoying is a mould with a mark on it, I bought a book mark silicone mould and it came with a thumb print on it 😂
Thank you Alison 😊 Yes, super annoying but sometimes I feel less guilty making a mess of the molds 😂🤣 I could send them back but I prefer to just use them for testing ideas 🥰
I think I might have to start at the beginning of your channel and follow through. No doubt I've missed a lot of important tips and tricks along the way! Hugs from 🇨🇦
Daniel, your work is amazing!!! I’m so inspired, I bought mica powder!!! I haven’t gotten molds or resin yet😂😅 Thank You for sharing your immense wealth of knowledge!!! Peace, Rudy 🕊️🙏🏼🕊️
Really enjoyed this video I didn't know you could turn resin into a workable putty and I could definitely see using this in my art! I'd love to see you do your broken heart design with this technique ❤ thank you for all the informative videos you do I truly enjoy them ❤
Unless one part requires significantly more mica than the other, you could add enough mica to one part to get the color you want - keeping track of how much you are using - then simply double the amount in the same part. Then when you mix the two parts, you'll have enough mica to color it all thoroughly AND know when the parts are completely mixed. An advantage there would be that you can keep a few colors you use a lot in separate containers of part A, but keep all of part B in one container I LOVE watching your experiments! You think so far 'out of the box', it's like you are in a different world!
Dude! I am so excited to put these experiments you have come up with these last few months to use for my Christmas presents. Not lying I was getting a little bored. This last one you did I might put the lotion in the split to make it look like lightning. Thank you
Love your channel! I have an idea for you to try…maybe? Could you get a druzy crystal effect if you pour resin over epsom salt, cure it, then soak the piece in water to dissolve the salt?
Thank you 😊 I don't see why not 😊 most things that are possible on small scales and be enlarged 😊 Maybe the putty could be the only issue if it's too deep, it may sink slightly
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Really glad to see the mixture with the two part resin. I use to use the jewelry resin putty but it's been hard to find. I love the idea of making my own. Does it shrink at all or just a little?
hi, thanks for the tips, i am from brazil, and i make rustic cutting boards, and sometime i need to fill the cracks on the wood, and work with resin is to difficult because of the leaks. Do you thing this could work in this case? It wil be resistent?
Hello I’ve been looking for something like this to get a putty form. But I am wondering would it still dry clear if you didn’t add black? Or does the corn starch effect the cured color and make it no longer clear ?
Adding anything to uv resin can effect its curing. Try the 1 min water cure, it always works for me 😊 Failing that, your uv light may have lost its power and need replacing.
Hi I have been watchin some of your videos. I ma a subcriber in the US what do you use to polish your resin pieces. Do let me know. I enjoy watching you always. Thansk for sharing.
I don't have the 4hr cure resin, only the regular 24hr cure stuff. Do ye reckon it would still work? What if you add the colour first, then the cornstarch? Have you tried stirring each little spoonful as you put it in rather than once it's all in? Does that make any difference whatsoever? I'm not entirely sure where my measuring spoons have gone (prolly still in storage) so do ye think I could just use teaspoons and eyeball it? It's roughly 2 and a half teaspoons, right? (can't sleep cuz brain won't shut up, hence the 50m questions *sheepish*)
Wondering if this putty could be the answer to the “Glass Eye Issue.” As far as I know, nobody has come up with a solution for getting them to stick to 3D silicone molds so they don’t slide around when you do your pour. Some say UV but it really just makes a slippery mess, especially on thicker 3D molds.
I using a Epoxy Putty 25%resin and 75%calcium carbonate very strong but setting time is very late , Please help and guidance to me how to make it Fast Curing this Putty about 30minutes to set
amazing as always. Ty mate top work ...,.. what next .... h?mm? wool no that's been done or maybe UV resin inks that work with resin.,.hmmmm please lol 😂😉🫶👌💪👊

I think it would be best to mix a batch and store if you use regularly. Such a faff for a little. Beautiful results!❤
100% agree Sue, if kept plain, we can color as we need it 😊😊
That's was my question, and how would you store it?

Thanks 😊 I didn't notice any shrinking in the molds 😊
@daniel..cooper Good to know. I've been using air clay, and it shrinks more than I like in the jewelry blanks.
Would be great using glow in the dark in the resin
That would look amazing! 😍
Hi Daniel, did you notice any disintegration of the putty after time???
hi, thanks for the tips, i am from brazil, and i make rustic cutting boards, and sometime i need to fill the cracks on the wood, and work with resin is to difficult because of the leaks. Do you thing this could work in this case? It wil be resistent?
This would definitely work, if you flood coat after, be sure to sand the infill first 😁
@@daniel..cooper thank you very much👍
Would this work with uv?
Sadly not 😔
My Dad used to use resin two part putty to fill holes in my car door, in the 80's
Could you do a video to show us how you do a glaze coat? Please... ❤
I will do soon 😊😊
Hi Daniel what glaze coat did you use? Love the way they turned out 😍
I was lazy and glazed with uv resin 😂
Hello I’ve been looking for something like this to get a putty form. But I am wondering would it still dry clear if you didn’t add black? Or does the corn starch effect the cured color and make it no longer clear ?
Sadly it will cure an off white
Where are the black storage pots from please?
Links are in my latest video description 😊😊
Some advice please when I use alcohol ink or any additive such as lotion baby powder etcetera my uv resin is tacky? Why is this

Thanks 😊 I never polish, I only top coat by sanding the surface and then just pouring fresh resin over 😊
I am guessing it would work the same with 1:1 normal cure time resin instead of quick cure resin?
Sure would 😊😊
good to know rather than buying everything
😊😊😊
After the two putties sit in their segregated cups for some time, is there any separation of substances in either or both?
They may sweat a bit so maybe keep in some cling wrap too, nothing a mix shouldn't fix though 😊
@@daniel..cooper Thanks much
is it just one part of the resin eg part B

Any epoxy will work 😊 you may just need more cornstarch for it to thicken. You could color the epoxy 1st yes 😊

Yes, this would work by holding anything in place like that, especially if the resin is going to be black anyway and the mold dusted 😊
