  • I’ve already shown you how I’ve created some amazing patterns and colours using these Angelina films with candles, and now I just wanted to show you how you can get a really gorgeous effect using a heat gun for those of you who don’t like playing with candles.
As you can see from these two examples, you get a snake skin or dragon scale effect which is just beautiful and especially with a black background which makes the designs pop.
Let me know if you use these films, and share some pictures of your creations.

Try scrunching up your fantasy foil into a ball then undo it and use your heatgun to it and see the different effects you get .

Thank you. I did that the other day and it was a lovely effect. I’ve also heated it over an embossing folder which brought out some really nice effects. I’ll do a video and upload it Thanks so much for your tip ❤❤

layer it with another colour fantasy film and then fuse those together! Wrinkle them up first though! 😊

I have found that crinkling the film into a ball and then spreading it flat before heating yields more interesting patterns and reduces the times the film sticks to itself. Then, before it cools , smack it flat with your hand.

Oooh I’ve not smacked it yet lol. I’ll give that a try. Thanks so much for the tips.

Use a little sheet of cardboard to hold it down as you move along the film.

Scrunch it up gives more colors. You can also stack the films on top off each other and then heat it with the heatgun. I would advice to never use a candle for this . If you hold your film with a stirring stick or a piece of cardboard it won't fly away. The best way to heat them is just flat on a table or something but be careful not every surface likes heat.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve started layering, the effects are amazing 😻 I am happy to report that I rarely get the candle out nowadays lol.

I accidentally dropped a few sheets and they got muddled up so I am not 100% sure but I think it’s Peacock.
