Sorry but I honestly don't believe for a minute that the studios behind Sonic were gonna go directly with that version of the character in the trailers. It was nothing more than some cheap viral marketing tactics and they already had the real Sonic character model that was used in the actual film they were gonna use . In my opinion, story mode actually looked good, and captured the essence of early minecraft very well, but this? this is incomparable. The closest thing this looks similar to are those minecraft but in real life videos from 2015-2016, and the realistic minecraft texture pack. I don't expect much from this movie.
