    Another great video Dave and I really like that spot they’re up on that in embankment I guess where they was going to put a bridge at one time I think you said but anyway you stay safe out there my friend and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one

      Thank you Timmy! Yea, it is a great spot, has to be my favorite overall. You are correct, they had planned a bridge at this location. They built the approaches on both sides before the project was cancelled. Thanks for watching my friend!

    That seemed a rather rapid stop, it was still moving at a fair speed when it passed you. Some slick working; the train it was crossing was still moving when it moved off again. Some good GEVO thrash from the DPUs.

      @PacificNWRailfan  2 месяца назад

      It was, it surprised when it finally started to slow down, the locomotives weren't even in dynamics when it passed me, most westbounds that stop here are in dynamics by the time they pass this location! Thanks for watching my friend!

    The fact that humans have figured out how to move this much cargo over land is a huge feat of engineering so many people take for granted. Better than camels or horses lol.

    • @PacificNWRailfan
      @PacificNWRailfan  2 месяца назад +1

      You're welcome Lanang! From Hauser, ID to Sandpoint ID it's fairly level running. From Sandpoint ID to Bonners Ferry, ID the railroad climbs approx 400' in elevation. From Bonners Ferry, ID to Libby, MT it's fairly level running as it follows the Kootenai River. Approx 14 miles east of Libby, the railroad begins the 1,400' 1% climb up to the Flathead Tunnel. From the Flathead tunnel to Whitefish MT, the railroad drops approx 600 feet in elevation. Thanks for watching my friend!
