- In this furniture flipping episode, we take a $12 thrifted nightstand and do a complete modern furniture makeover using Annie Sloan chalk paint and modern furniture legs. This project was all about having some fun painting furniture so I came up with a funky design and let my imagination take over. I changed my mind a few times but in the end I think this wooden nightstand turned out amazing, what do you think?

Hey everyone, what should I sell this piece for??? 💰💰💰
$125
Agree $125 to $140 is a fair price👍
$1 million? 🙃
@@SabsRehabs Good spot, hopefully get around there!
@@dbird1584 Totally fair!! Thanks D
WOW....the new legs are perfect. I love the wood/ paint with the diagonal lines. Chic
Thanks Mary glad you liked it!
total transformation from it's former shape. Great vision...do this again!
I found a free dresser and nightstand recently where I will do some similar work 👍thanks for watching!
Wow! You turned that piece into something special.
thanks! glad you liked it!
Holy WOW! What else do I say??!!
Thank you Linda!!
I like it! It’s fun & would add a nice pop of color anywhere you put it!
You did a fantastic job! I love the paint color and the design.
Looks great, love the colour combination.
Looks modern n cool now
Thanks man! Glad you like the new look 👍
Love the black furniture, beautiful.
Love it!
Very funky! I do love the paint color💖💖💖
Thanks and thanks for watching Roshawda!
Wow, wow, wow! It looks like a totally different night stand...it's gorgeous🥰. Your work literally gets better with each project you do, awesomeness👍👍💕
Thank you D!! Taking that base off totally transformed its look. Again, thanks for watching and for your kind words :)
Oh wow this is stunning ! So unique . I wish I could buy this
Thank you! I am in Canada and it's for sale! lol
Dope came out 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
thanks man, much appreciated!
Interesting piece to begin with, very nice.
What a transformation!
Right!? A project with little planning turned out ok I guess haha Thanks for watching Sue!
Very Pretty
Great job. Love it.
Good job
Thanks :)
Amazing transformation young man! you came long way since you started flipping furnitures 👌👏🌹
thanks for the kind words!
Looks pretty cool 🌻💕
Very creative. Awesome!!! I was looking at this and I know that everything is more modern but I had an idea. What if you found another piece and changed it into more of a Asian cabinet look. Don't cut off the bottom but paint black and then orange/red distressed and glazed on top with an Asian handle. I've seen them in furniture online and it looks amazing. Just a thought
cool idea!!
Very nice
Glad you like it :)
Very cool.
thanks Linda!
Looks awesome. Great 💡 idea
Thank you! 😊
Great job!
Thank you!!
That's cool. Good job. Would like to know in this video how you priced it.
Thanks Rachel! I haven't listed yet, but I am thinking maybe between $100-150, what do you think? I am going to make a pinned comment asking everyone, thanks for the question haha
Wow pretty cool!
Thanks Christine :)
Do you have a link or exact name of the tape? Its hard to find one that works super well !
Wow
😎 cool like it
Beautiful! $275 lowest $250 pair
Nice job. Digging the symmetric lines but feel it’s more mid century. Piece looks 150% better. Did it sell as a single? Might be cool to match up the lines with a different dresser and see if it works as a pair.
thanks! I did sell the piece single. Would have been cool to match it to a dresser though!
How do you decide on a design, paint/stain, legs/no legs, etc
Design I completely make up in my head, and change things as I go! Lol and this one I wanted to do something green, I saw Lem Lem by Annie Sloan and thought “this could be fun”.
For legs, if the piece has an ugly base or just needs some modernizing I’ll try to add legs 👍🏻
AS Chalk Paint is the best. All of her products are the best. Pricey, but worth the money.
I did enjoy using it, such a different experience than regular paint haha
Hi Flippa 👋 I like the design of this one but no way did you chop off it's legs 😂 I guess it does look more modern now 👍
LOL it was an in the moment kinda thing 😂 lil transformation haha
Love the turnout! Great choice on updating the legs!
Thanks Sabby!! I knew that they had to go lol
I don’t know what’s going on in Atlanta. We have a ton of money here but no one wants to spend money on flipped furniture. I would probably get $150 for each dresser.
It looks quite different. But kind of Frankensteinish. The front part where those curvy ‘extensions?’ stick out makes it look old. The rest of it looks sleek and modern.
the front is what made it hard to flip from the start, I could have cut it with a jigsaw but I just kept it and worked around it haha
I like the legs. A little too modern for me. Would have looked nice with black chalk paint and wood top and accents or white chalk paint with wood top and accents. But u did a nice job on this. I am just not into modern style.
nice ideas! it definitely has a super modern touch now, a much different market that's for sure. Thanks for watching Debbie!
Everyone does the two tone (top one color, base another) look. This is far more creative. I'm not into modern, but I do like this piece!
@@franciegarneau1651 Thank you Francie :)
You stepped out of your comfort zone and you ended up with a nice piece, yet I think it's missing something.
Since you had such a light wood color (blond), maybe you could've used a darker AS Chalk paint to go with the dark new legs.
The contrast of the blond wood with a dark paint color would've given the nightstand more pizzazz.
Also, why did you not sand to bare wood on the front under the top of the table and the inside of the table on the the bottom of the top?
thanks! and nice ideas. I lightly sanded it to go with the small strips I left on the drawer edge and the top edge. My plan changed so many times so I could have sanded it down too I guess haha
Wow, it was such an ugly nightstand to start. I never would have looked twice. You did a fantastic Job!😁
It was very ugly... I had a hard time envisioning what to do that's for sure haha but thanks so much Jodi!!
Love your work but ngl id be impressed if you are able to sell that
Honestly this project was more to test the chalk paint and to have some fun, not to make a lot of money. I do know my market enough though that this will sell! thanks for watching!
Thumbs up! well done like usual but not my cup of tea.
Definitely a different style, but glad you can give it a thumbs up!
Why wouldn't you paint the inside top??? It looks unfinished..... 👎
Well you can only see it when your head is on the ground. Plus I can clean that up in a couple mins. Did you like it otherwise?
