The work you do goes beyond restoration, and how to bring to life something that has been forgotten in time. Congratulations on the beautiful work and keep it up. A hug straight from Brazil
I like the top to have imperfections when staining it, it looks authentic and has real character. So glad you saved this from the landfill, it still has many years of great use. Love the end results.
You could also try acetone to remove stubborn paint. Liz over at Ivy Lane Interiors uses it as part of her paint stripping routine and she has had great success with it. I have been going back and watching all your old videos and I really love how nice your pieces come out. Great job! Keep up the great work!😊
One of the BEST videos I've seen. I absolutely love that you included so many details in restoration of the damaged areas as I have a dresser in somewhat of the same condition and had no idea how to fix it. Grateful you went into detail on the sprayer, paint mixture, and clean-up. Amazed at how you had to course correct due to all the damage and filler on the top which ended up turning out beautifully! Your attention to detail is beyond reproach. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank Goodness It was Free! What a Piece of Junk! It's Quite a Handsome Piece Now! But It took So Much Work to get it there. Was it cost Effective? The Paint Sprayer Tutorial was Good Too. I Hope the Company Sends You LOTS of Goodies for That!
Yes thankfully haha it was certainly a lot of work... realistically for a simple flip and best ROI, painting all of it would have been the best for profit per hours worked. However, I like to try things and challenge myself to show everyone watching because it makes for a more enjoyable video! (Well I hope so lol) Thanks for watching! :)
When you reach 100,000 subscribers, you will look back and smile at your early videos. You did a very nice job explaining how the paint sprayer worked, and I've never seen a demonstration of the cleaning process. You learn each time you do a flip. You did a marvelous job of remaing composed when something crazy happened. Hang in there!😊😊
You did an awesome job with these!! Well done on saving them from going to the trash and turning them back into functional drawers that would look good in any home 🤩👏😍
I love the way this chest turned out and the way you explain what you're doing. I refinished a few pieces of furniture for myself many years ago although I really didn't know what I was doing. For some reason, I have started watching several furniture refinishing/restoration channels. I just love it. Your video makes me feel like I should tackle some of my own furniture that could use some refreshing. And you've just about convinced me to buy that sander and sprayer😂. Great job and I'm looking forward to the next one.
Thank you! I am just an average joe learning as I tackle each new furniture project, I think you should totally find that next project and give it a go! If I can do it anyone can! Thanks so much for watching :)
Thanks for watching! I have a few other great sprayer videos you can check out if you are more interested in them. Plus I have some new ones in the works too!
You did good. I was very pleased to see your entire tutorial on how to use a wireless sprayer. I loved your decision to paint the frame and dravers, and paint wash the top. I think it turned out great!
This was a stainable wood filler and I have had success staining it before, but this water-based stain did not take to the filler well at all sadly. Thanks for watching!
i admire your tenacity...i will tell you that i would have simply repainted the entire dresser...sometimes it's ok to do so...despite what wood purists say ;)
Hey! After moving out of my home a few years ago I haven’t been spraying furniture until this project. I rented this garage recently and will spray some pieces in the future. I haven’t used the homeright in a long time but I still have it! In terms of holding up I’m sure it will still work fine but I’d have to test that out haha not sure if not using it for a long duration causes issues, I guess we will find out whenever I test it. However, this snapfresh sprayer seems to work as well as the others and it’s cordless so it seems like a safe choice for the time being. Thanks for watching!
Yes bondo is quicker, since I knew I was painting with the sprayer, the bondo was a quick solution to the problem. Also, my current tools are minimum so this was a better option for that reason as well. Thank you both for watching!
You did a great job of a pretty poor looking piece of furniture! Luckily it was solid wood which seems to be rare these days and it was saved from the trash. Fantastic work!
Actually, I thought the knobs were very appropriate with the black lacquer. I think you are right in that it was put on in a very sloppy manner but if more care was taken it would’ve looked very nice. I have something very similar, but it is a mixture of the same black and wood. I generally disapprove of electric screwdrivers because I think its just plain lazy and they tend to strip the screw heads needlessly. If it has a torque, then maybe I will forgive you. Seriously, though, I like your work and your presentation.

Wow, thank you so much! :)
Dresser looks really sharp after all your work. Great to know there is a battery operated sprayer. Thanks for the sprayer tutorial.
Thank you! I must say I love the battery sprayer, not having to deal with a cord is nice. Thanks for watching
Man that came out amazing. From junk to really nice piece. Well done.
Thank you Colton! Much appreciated
Definitely a wonderful upgrade! Great color. Just a huge improvement. Love it!
Glad you liked it 🙂 thanks for watching

I really like the paint wash effect. One of my favourites looks.
Lovely job Jamie 👏👏

Very nice job of turning this item headed to the landfill into something quite beautiful.
Thank you! :)
Looks great!
Dang I can’t believe you were able to hide all those holes. I love the color you chose. Well done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😍
I love it. I love the bones too but am not as skilled to pull off the restoration you made. Simply gorgeous!

Thanks for watching! I have a few other great sprayer videos you can check out if you are more interested in them. Plus I have some new ones in the works too!
Thanks for some of the info. I've had some questions that were never really answered from other flippers, now I have the answers. I like the color.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching

You do amazing work!!
Thanks so much Kayla!
Great job! ❤
Thank you!
I would have filled or added thin slither of wood to the vertical spacer between the 2 drawers but still looked very nice indeed
thanks very much for explaining how to use the sprayer
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching
Looks great.. love the top❤
Thank you! :)
I'm not a huge fan of black furniture but this looks great! Miles better than what it started out! I think the dark hardware ties it together nicely.
Thanks so much!
Bravo 👏
Nice!
That is simply beautiful, and it is along the shaker lines. You are a master.
You definitely gave it a new life; good job 👍
Thank you! :)
Excellent! Thanks for the sprayer tutorial. 🙃
Thanks for watching!
El tono de la cubierta me encantó 😊 Saludos desde Valdivia al sur de Chile 🇨🇱
Very nice!
@@jflclc thank you!!
Nice work friend, have a nice day !!!. Brian UK !!!. 😀😀👍👍.
Thanks Brian!!
Next time when filling holes and you are going to stain, use a stainable wood filler so you can stain the wood. Great video!
This was a stainable wood filler and I have had success staining it before, but this water-based stain did not take to the filler well at all sadly. Thanks for watching!
Amazing!! Oh, yes SIR, I believe it!!
Mmm I wish I could smell the drawers 😂 Another great save 👍🙌
This is impressive.
Thank you!
Magnífico trabajo😀😀😀😀😀
Thank you :)
Nice job ❤
Thanks Vickie!
My late aunt was an artist with Bondo. She once created the entire frame and chassis for new headlights for her husband’s truck!
Very cool!
Another exceptional piece - beautiful work, well done! New sub here.
Thank you very much!
Very nice 👍🏽
Thank you 👍
i admire your tenacity...i will tell you that i would have simply repainted the entire dresser...sometimes it's ok to do so...despite what wood purists say ;)
It would have certainly been the easy way out 😂 thanks for watching! :)
I literally just said “wow” to myself. Three times.
Wow thanks for the kind comment!
Is that sprayer as loud in person as it sounds on video?
Drawer bottom does not get glued. It is a fit so it can expand with temp changes.
@@Maevic-fg3fm i glued it because it was already warped and doesn’t fit back in
Given the terrible green state it started in, anything you said would have improved it. But you did more than that, you made it shine.
Thanks for the kind words!
Великолепная работа, респект
Wow. Didn’t think I’d like the top but it’s so pretty
Glad you liked it!
Hej, do you still use your Home Right Super Fine Finish Max and if so, may I ask how it's holding up?
Nice work on the dresser and thank you :)

Does the sprayer battery last for the entire time while working on a dresser.
Yes it lasts a long time! 35-40 minutes of spray time, which is plenty as it only takes a few minutes to actually paint the piece.
😳wow
What kind of shop vac did you get? How do i do that too?
3:00 What if it tested for lead What would happen then What would you do?
Thanks :)
WOW
Thanks!!
😊NICE!!!
Thanks so much!
Is your workshop well ventilated?
I have a full double garage door, window, and regular door I can open up.
Why not replace the piece missing from the drawer front with wood?
I think the bondo is the quicker fix and it will be just as hard as the wood. Since he’s painting it’s not an issue to just repair it.
Yes bondo is quicker, since I knew I was painting with the sprayer, the bondo was a quick solution to the problem. Also, my current tools are minimum so this was a better option for that reason as well. Thank you both for watching!
I cannot believe you took all the paint off and then painted again 😮 I was thinking you would stain. 🤔
Thanks tequeena :) I appreciate you watching!! and they did smell great hahah

I would have gone with lighter hardware, but it still looks good .
Thanks!
To bad you didn't keep the light green color
