  • @johnlee7085

    Joist tape on top of pressure treated would last as long as the steel.

    • @johnlee7085
      @johnlee7085 6 месяцев назад

      A benefit of using a wooden beam/joist with tape on top is that you can then use concealed fasteners instead of face screwing. This reduces the amount of water intrusion into the wood around the edges of the fasteners which ultimately leads to premature rot/deck death.

    I really enjoy your videos, and what a wonderful thing you did for this nice lady.
    I have a random question, I am a chainsaw carver and I have a piece I am just about done with, it will be kept inside as I have done my best to finish it up really nice, which proved to be difficult because I used cedar and it is really soft. I am curious if this can be coated in epoxy and what you might recommend, there are a couple parts of it that I really want to strengthen that's why I am thinking epoxy. I am worried about the dry time and being able to get it all covered in time, can this be done in sections or would that cause problems. And I am not sure how much I will need either. Also I understand you sell the products too, the reason I thought of you is because of your driftwood epoxy video actually. Thanks for your time and God bless
