    This debate is more than about a 24-hour period. The question, "Should we remember the seventh-day Sabbath, or should we honor the first day, Sunday?" is a question of utmost importance. Not because Seventh-day Adventists or Catholics make it so, but because Christ Jesus declared Himself to be "Lord of the Sabbath." At the end of the day, we must ask, "have we given our hearts to Christ Jesus?" We must ask, "Will we allow the Lord of the Sabbath to be Lord of our life?"

      Question- I keep hearing about Veltman. whats the story , was veltman a dm canright ? former adventist keep bringing veltman as if he was a Ellen White hater. here is what one wrote about veltman - Most will never understand and appreciate the courage it took for Fred Veltman to make this statement given the pressure he was under to conform to the hagiographical orientation of the Adventist imperium. He was a brave man.

    The Sabbath was made for man. To call it the Jewish Sabbath when Jews were not around for roughly 2000 years after creation, does not make sense.
    To still then argue that the Sabbath is only for the Jews, it is saying that only Jews are man therefore, what is non Jews?

      I made a video about this topic a few months back, however the short answer would be the doctrine cannot be supported exegetically or hermeneutically. If Yeshua (jesus) came back in 1844 as they falsely predicted there would be no I.J.

      well, i respectfully disagree with you sir that why i offered to debate this matter. haven't found anyone who is will to do it. i guess we will have to agree to disagree.

      @Leeor Rose
      I have personally studied the I.J for many years, and read some of the top Adventist scholarship from Andrews regarding this topic and it doesn't hold up once crossed examined. The why i wanted to debate this issue, but haven't found an Adventist who is willing. Every denomination/religion have bible versus to validate their doctrine theoretically

    So now we can't simply answer a question, we have to point out that the question is invalid? What kind of twisted mental gymnastics is that? Just tell the questioner it's assumed; because, after all, the Law (Decalogue) was kept by humanity before the sinfall. They were reminded of it at Mnt Carmel. No need to subjugate people with thirty-dollar words like "logical falacy" just to appear superior in knowledge.
    And what's this ADL mimicry? Is the host an ethnic Jew?

      What is ADL?

      Hello Sunshine,
      Thanks for your comment. It is important to point out when a question is not valid so the questioner can reconsider asking a better one. But as you also likely heard, that was not the only thing I did. After explaining for a few moments why it is an invalid question, I proceeded to provide some important points in response to it. Also, I believe using terms that encapsulate the invalid argument or argument is important because those terms help people understand, capture and remember that arguments. When I learned the term, it forever helped me be able to discern it in other people's arguments. Its not about being fancy-shmancy. Its a great way to learn and remember.
      Finally, it just so happens that Adventist Defense League is abbreviated ADL like that other organization. If only the abbreviation is the same than it was more of a coincidence, not mimicry. Adventist Defense League perfectly explains the mission of this ministry and so that is the name that was chosen.
      Sorry again that you didn't appreciate the response but I hope others did.
      Edwin
