Praise the Lord for your presentation . Nehemiah 9: 13 & 14 proves the Sabbath was in existence before any Jew. Jews came from Abraham 2,400 years plus before any Jew.
If a day is a 1000 years, when did it change to 24 hours? Based on this argument, we would be on day six. The problem with that thinking is mixing prophetic time with 24 hour day., which does not make sense. I wondered how long it would take for the Priest to misinterpret Colossians 2: 14-16, which is about feast days. Those verses is taken out of context
It is interesting that the Catholic Priest accuses Edwin of generalisation when he himself generalised. The problem with debates is that no matter how much truth is given, Edwin, the Catholic Priest will hold his stance, laugh and mock. Who was the old and new covenant made for? Both for the house of Isreal and Judah. The old covenant was on stone (Jesus said that he is the cornerstone which the builder initially rejected and later became the head cornerstone) and the new covenant is written of the heart. Who spoke and wrote both covenants? Answer is God and not man. Romans 11:11 -32 talks about non believing Jews being grafted in Christ (Jesus is referred to as the vine and all who believe in him as the branches). Unfortunately, the priest is not putting the dots together
The Catholic debater in the first part of his presentation didn't prove anything all he did was quote the Catholic Church on Sunday being their Sabbath. No proof and scriptural texts of Sunday replacing Saturday, all he showed was their "explanations" which he is still just begging the question why did Sunday replace Saturday as the Sabbath according to scripture.

The Bible doesn’t describe days of the week by words it uses numbers. Sun-day is in observance of the Sun god.
