Because logically you can't conclude if a religion is peaceful or not by observing so-called adherents to the religion, since you could only judge the religion by the values it advocates and the values written in its scriptures.
If a verse from the Quran says
"Allah does not forbid you from dealing kindly and fairly with those who have neither fought nor driven you out of your homes. Surely Allah loves those who are fair." 60:8
And all verses saying kill the infidels wherever you find them are about specific cases of early Muslims getting persecuted in the Arabian Peninsula and these verses tells them to kill the people that drove them out of their homes and fought them.
To conclude that since so-called adherents to a religion are doing violent acts therefore the cause is the religion is a logical fallacy which is assuming the cause. There are countless possibilities why there are violence among so-called adherents to Islam and you assumed the cause is Islam itself, but what if the cause is the violence Muslims suffered by Westerners? Such as America invading Iraq and butchering innocents which was the reason ISIS even began, only as revenge. What if the reason violence exists is the continuous butchering of Palestinian innocents "which is still happening and everyone is witnessing the absolute butchery" and westerners continuing to support the butcher "Which was one of the reasons Osama bin Laden listed on why he is attacking America". What if it's because of westerns invading the holy land of Arabia and not respecting that it isn't permitted for non-muslims to enter Mecca "which was one of the reasons Osama bin Laden listed as to why he is attacking America"
What if the reason we don't hear debates about Hinduism or Buddhism or anyother religion being peaceful is that the adherents to these religion haven't suffered what Muslim adherents suffered?
There are countless possibilities to why violence exists but you assumed the possibility that you wanted which is that the cause is Islam, which is logically false.

There are many many religions yes, but if you read what I wrote in my comment you wouldn't have said that. I'll add one more point to what I wrote in my previous comment, America invaded Iraq and butchered innocents which gave rise to ISIS, there was zero bombings in Iraq before America invaded it. There was zero bombings in Afghanistan before the soviet union invaded it. Other religions like Buddhism or Hinduism or whatever haven't suffered what Muslims suffered and also these religions don't have active communties or sense of belonging to a group, their religions are more like to yourself, but Islam is a community religion, you treat your fellow Muslims as brothers and you all feel together as a one body, so when you see the violence that Muslims have suffered you'll understand why that gives rise to violence and radicalism, since Muslims don't feel like individuals but as a whole community so when the invasion of Iraq happened, violence started to exist in places not even close to Iraq. Most of the violence you see from Muslims are results of taking revenge which you can't attribute to the religion of Islam. Muslims are concentrated in one region consisting of many countries called the Middle East, and that region has been invaded and colonised for years and years and years. Palestine is still currently colonised and stolen by Israel and the western world supports the butchery of Israel. since the last 4 months Israel killed 30K Palestinians and injured 70k with injuries such as losing a whole arm or leg. Just read about "2008 Gaza Massacre" Israel destroyed 46k houses, made 100k people homeless, The United Nations and the UK newspaper the Guardian and the human rights group Amnesty UK said they found overwhelming evidence of hundreds of children rights violations by Israel such as holding 11-year-old Palestinian children in their arms to shield off bullets "Ironic how they accuse Hamas of using human shields"
Read about China having concentration camps where they torture Muslims and enslave them there.

This didn't age well for those who believe the war religion is peaceful.
As an ex-Muslim, if there's one thing I have learned, is that here's a very, VERY big difference between "American Muslim" and "Muslim". People in the US (and many other Western countries) are completely detached from what Islam is. They only know the watered-down and Americanised version, that was born only because of an environment that promotes these positive values that are completely non-Islamic. Just like American "communists" or "socialists" only know the Americanised fantasy of what those words mean.

My best friend of 20 years, like a sister to me, became involved with a Muslim man. I really liked him and thought they were a great match. Then she started adopting his religion, which I didn't even realize he followed. But they were planning to be married and I figured meh she's probably just wanting to ingratiate herself with his family, who were very religious.
She got more and more into it and HE DID TOO. I began reading that a young Muslim American man will begin to get MUCH more fundamentalist once he marries.
I called her and said I was feeling concerned that she was possibly getting into something deeper than she'd eventually like. She had already declared there would be no alcohol at her wedding, she had dyed her hair black & started dressing different from her usual beachy California blonde style. RIGHT THEN AND THERE SHE CUT ME OFF & told me that our friendship had come to an end. She hung up the phone and blocked me. I called, emailed, & messaged any way I could. She wouldn't respond. Apparently he had let her know that I would be a deterrent to her new faith and that she must cut me out before I poisoned her mind.

If a verse from the Quran says

And all verses saying kill the infidels wherever you find them are about specific cases of early Muslims getting persecuted in the Arabian Peninsula and these verses tells them to kill the people that drove them out of their homes and fought them.
To conclude that since so-called adherents to a religion are doing violent acts therefore the cause is the religion is a logical fallacy which is assuming the cause. There are countless possibilities why there are violence among so-called adherents to Islam and you assumed the cause is Islam itself, but what if the cause is the violence Muslims suffered by Westerners? Such as America invading Iraq and butchering innocents which was the reason ISIS even began, only as revenge. What else can you expect from an Indian muslim, the only example she could quote was Tamilian tigers because she wanted to point out that even Hindus can be terrorists, but she forgot to mention that LTTE was not fighting any holy war for their religion, they were fighting against the then Sri Lankan government for their rights. I am yet to see a muslim condemning any islamic terrorist group either publicly or privately as if they are indirectly supporting them. Muslims have lived for some generations in India now, but still they will never put India above their religion, their sympathy and their priority always is towards their religion and that's what makes them very hard to co-exist with. I'm from Israel and I agree with every thing, and that why israelis (among many other reasons) understand, love and support India and its people- because we know how it's to be surrendered by Muslims and have them within your country. Almost every single day (for real, EVERY SINGLE DAY) we have terror attacks, not to mention wars like now... we remember what happend in kashmir...🙏🏻
Now, as middle eastern, the Islamic-ARAB mentality is so strong and different from the west it's crazy. It's like they got stucked the bronze Era and everyone is cheering globally for another terror-dictatorship country that will give 0 human rights and 0 value to the world+ needs to throw all the jews to the sea like the hamas charter is saying.
