I left Judaism and converted to Islam in 1998 and I do no regret my decision. Islam has taught me mutual respect and the art of forgiveness. It has made me a better person. Islam means total peace and tolerance with yourself, and peace with God.

I also struggled finding religion. For almost 10 yrs I did my own personal research, and watched so many different scholars of different faiths. For the last three years I was caught between Islam and Christianity. The path to salvation and preservation of scripture makes a lot more sense in Islam. La illaha il Allah, muhammad rasool Allah

@Templar you don’t understand both verses they both mean if you conquered a location just keep them captive until they accept Allah then set them free as in you don’t have to let them pay tribute and the first verse you mentioned is incomplete you said a part of it not fully it’s (fight those who do not believe in Allah nor the last day until they pay tribute fully) learn more and take things fully or you can get bashed when the full thing gets released

I also researched on christianity etc and found that the Quran was the truth. My mother said to me that i should not follow my religion blindly because of my forefathers but question them, seek answers and so thats how i got my conviction :)

Jesus Christ said in the book of Matthew 24:11that false prophet will come in his name and misled many people. We can see this prophecy in fulfillment in Islam claiming Muhammad to be the last prophet. Jesus Christ promised to his disciples in the book of John 14:16. The Holy Spirit that will be with them forever.
After verification, Jesus Christ is talking of the Holy spirit that will be with his followers forever.
In the book of Deuteronomy 18:18
Still Mahummad is not mentioned anywhere, rather Yahweh the God of Israel is making a promise to the people of Israel that he will raise a great prophet among them the Hebrews who will speak to them face to face as his representative.
In the book of John 16: 27-28 Jesus Christ identified himself as Gods representative.

I got curious abt Islam when I saw a video of Mufti Menk followed by Omar Suleiman, Nouman Ali Khan, Deedat, Naik and a lot more. Subhanallah I reverted and has never more inspired than now in changing my way of life ever since.

I read the Quran and noted its errors and anachronisms. It seemed to lack all spiritual power and the concept of god presented there left much to be desired.

The Gospel affirms the same things that you mentioned. But in the Gospel there are teachings that are not in the Koran. Read both texts with a tip: Do God's words have to push towards purity of heart, love and forgiveness?
I was born into a Christian family and Islam to me is the only religion that makes sense. I have been Muslim now since 1984 alhumdulilleh. Allahybarak we need more of these presentations to make people aware that Islam is not to be feared but acknowledged. People hate and fear what they don’t understand. All it takes is a brain.
I left Islam in 2016. I am now an atheist. The main reason i left Islam is because Islam allows cruelty to animals in the name of halal. #Ex-Muslim .,.,,,,,,

But if you will research further, I mean the way people consume meat nowadays, the factories where animals are slaughtered in a most cruel ways...it is really makes me cry. In contrast, muslims are commanded to slaughter the animal by the name of Allah, means saying " bismillah". And it is the real point. Cause when one do anything by the name of Allah he or she must do it in the best possible way. Being merciful and compassionate towards the animal, not being cruel, make sure that the knife is sharp enough to quickly make it fall asleep (by cutting carotid artery). And at the end share it with others, relatives, neighbours and poor people. And Allah really doesn't like people who transgress, and make animals suffer.

@@nurinuri7389 This is my whole point. Why would any merciful god or religion allows its followers to kill animals to begin with or to be cruel to them. The fact the Islam or any religion would allow killing of animals should be enough of a reason for any person who is a pacifist or who believes in kindness or non-violence to leave these religions. I have seen halal slaughter myself. It was a complete horror show, a complete nightmare. It made me realize this can never be allowed from a true god, which is why i left Islam. I had no choice. Cuz i believe in pacifism and non-violence. Non-violence and pacifism should be the core of any religion, which isn't the case with Islam

Not picking favorites, but imam Omar made the most sense out of the 3. He was very practical, non-judgemental, and just down-right intelligent.
You should check out an English translation of the Quran and see what you think
Alot of his logical arguments stem from his study of the scripture and sunnah of the Prophet
Suad Adem What is Sunnah? Is there a copy of it online?
@@sonic5d the sunnah is essentially the teachings and saying of Prophet Muhammed pbuh. Example the Quran says, pray and fast to your Lord. The sunnah shows us how to pray, and how to fast so its essentially the interpretation and depiction of the Quran

Example Moses was sent to pharoah around that time magic was practiced and when Moses came with his miracle pharaoh believed it was magic so God gave moses the miracle to drop his staff which will turn into a snake but even then pharaoh who claimed to be God denied him. Its the same with Jesus he was given the miracle to cure the blind talk miraculously as a baby raise the dead BY THE PERMISSION of God and as a sign to the Jews that he was the messiah but they denied him. Torment is part of punishment for those who unbelieve... it can be seen the same in all religions.
@TemplarThis argument is very easy to refute. Different verses of the Quran refer to different secenarios. Some are genaric, and others were revield in certain contexts. There are verses which instruct you about generic circumstances, and verses which refer to war scenarios. In fact if you read chapter 9 itself, you can see the context portrayed very clearly. You have verses about fighting like 9:5 and 9:29. However, verses like 9:4 and 9:13 give clear context. Unfortonately misconceptions can really blur your vission when trying to understand a faith.

@Truth Speaker just to enlighten you. The scriptures from the Quran and the sayings of the prophet Muhammad pbuh cannot be taken literally word for word. Yes superficially it looks like it means to do this and that. But you need to research and study on the meaning of the saying of the prophet Muhammad pbuh and why he said that and what situation was he and his companions are in when he said that. That’s why, scholars from the past have made and compiled guidelines and such to study these scriptures. I would love to tell you more about this if i was given the chance to. God bless. 😊

It is so beautiful to hear all of them try to help facilitate understanding. When Omar Suleiman welcomed people to go to a mosque and say they will be welcomed and loved, so they should not fear. As a person, who converted Islam, more than 18 years ago, it was reading The Autobiography of Malcolm X describing the unity of all people from different shades in Mecca which made me start seeing Islam differently. It was also my first visit to Mosque on 96th St in NYC and feeling welcomed and seeing people praying together, is what made me want to convert.

I loved that this comment came from a Christian, it shows that even non Muslims can conclude this, and it shows it’s true most logical religion, therefore it’s build on unchangeable pillars, therefore it’s true, and correct.
You missing the point. if you put orange and carrot in a juice contests, most will conclude that the orange is better but swap carrot for apple then it is a fair contest. A Christian here, but Both the Christian scholar and the Jewish scholar sounded very generalized interms of explaining concepts ( definitely could’ve done better). On the other hand, the Muslim scholar, Omar did a great job in explaining a detailed concept according to his point of belief and explaining it with Charisma, genuine smile and detail.

Its the same with Jesus he was given the miracle to cure the blind talk miraculously as a baby raise the dead BY THE PERMISSION of God and as a sign to the Jews that he was the messiah but they denied him.
