Hebr 1,2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, *by whom also he made the worlds;*
as everyone can see the term Son of God refers to the Word of God = god himself! For through that God created the worlds! *what a mistake in the Qur'an!*

@@TS-zd2udYou dont make any sense? Jesus is jesus and God is God?
Every prophet who was sent came with the words of God? They where not literally the word of God?
Jesus was set by God, Jezus prayed to God, Jezus had a God, Jesus talked with/to God? So NO God had a NOT a son or children and NO God is not a man or a baby who is bron.
And lets get back to the point you have christians that say that God HAS literally a Son so the Quran speaks to al the sects of christanty also that some call Mary the mother of God..

I am a christened Roman Catholic, turned Agnostic at a young age, who will soon take his Shahada, as I believe Allah SWT is the center of creation and I adore Islam and it's teachings, as well as the unseen levels of brotherhood and sisterhood of within.
As much of respect and admiration as I have for mr. Mohammed Hijab, I must adress one thing which I'm not fond of. His facial expressions, most of the time while listening to other side of the table, are those of arrogance (in a lack of a better word, because English is not my 1st language). It seems he doesn't listen with open heart and open mind, even though he is a philosopher and more importatnly, a prominent muslim. He smirks all the time and I hope I'm not the only one who sees it. He knows he is right, I know he is right and most of you know he is right, but that doesn't mean he should look upon others in that particular way. I understand he must be tired of all of these debates with non-believers, sometimes fatigue can get the better out of a person and I wish no harm to him by these words of mine.
If I'm wrong here, in the name of Allah SWT, please correct me as I failed to know better at the moment of writing this comment.
Peace and love brothers and sisters.

I know for sure one super good man in my lineage would have converted from Hinduism to Muslim in South India ---- Imagine the blessings this soul must be getting.... May Allah raise this person who brought us to the right path.... I believe we would have converted anywhere between 400-500 years back.... Alhamdullillah Islam is the right thing to have anywhere we live.

MashAllah! Alhamdulilah for having these opportunities. This was such a good setting and an amazing opportunity. As a South African who has served on very similar MSA committees I must say this was gearing up to be flawless and got completely unnecessarily interfered with by the uncle in the end. That was such poor form and uncalled for. The chair of the debate interjected when he really should not have either and when you invite speakers of such magnitude and who are known for being dynamic, what do you expect? I don't know why I was so bothered by this I am posting a comment. That question can only be raised under the ideology of islam i.e there is space for thought process/a paradigm where one can think and regret/celeberate his death. A bit disappointed honestly. I am an engineer/computer scientist, and have been practicing Islam for nearly 10 years now. I am not philosophically trained, nor religiously trained, and my knowledge is primarily from RUclips lectures and/or books. Despite that, I could find so many problematic and inconsistent statements with the atheists' positions. I expected more, I wanted to be challenged.
Indeed, if we build walls of intellectualism upon foundations of truth, these walls would be unshakably and firmly grounded on all fronts. And walls of intellectualism built upon falsehood will always end in collapse. Alhamdulillah for Islam.

The challenge is knowing that the opposition to the truth always have the same mechanical behaviour. It is just like reciting quran getting to the ayah of satan telling his feelings, or hearing about the wrong doers, then come the next week or the next month or the next year (depending upon how much time it takes to complete reading the quran) and hearing the same phrase of satan telling us his feelings or hearing about the wrong doers. So much so it becomes like periods of the moon or heavenly bodies. The deniers arguments being so predictable.

Lmao Brother Hijab was frustrated and fully annoyed at the end 😂 the irony is these athiests were complaining about how brother hijab and Hamza were interrupting them but they kept on doing the same thing throughout when both the brothers stopped interrupting. Moreover, the chair and the questioners were also interrupting brother hijab and Hamza again and again. This was a rather mismanaged and frustrating discussion or debate tbh.

      1. presentation/introduction panel peoples were very unprofessional shuttering and lacking and interrupt in very important moment 2x.
      2. mark oppenheimer start to gives examples from the Quran about morality Which they don't know what they are talking about, they don't even study the Classic Arabic so they don't know classic Arabic. all of this things the mark has been mentioned or talk about from the Quran about morality those things has been dealt with so many time and answered, some claims he made are not from the Quran, some of them are just blunt lies that has been made up by islamophobs long long time ago. it just shows his (mark) lack of research about this topic before came into panel.
      3. after that Muhammad Hijab got angry. he never should get angry or triggered by this people also I want to say to Mark that he never should talk about those things he doesn't know/researched completely or fully about those topic.
      4. I also believe Hamza also get trigger or angry after mark speech. and later Hamza and Hijab made little bit of fun or bully the Atheist panel. which I don't support also I don't support mark it just shows his lack of research about this topic before came into panel.
      5. this discussion was not about morality it was about the existence of god true or false.
      6. my discussion rating over all 7.5/10
and your completely right it was a mess

This was very interesting. I lost the thread at the end though. Around 2:05:00 they discuss "There is nothing in creation better than what is." and how Islamic scholars discussed about its meaning for long time, and one of them wrote a book about it. Then the black suit guy asked what was the answer that was given, and blue suit guy looked like segmentation fault, several in the audience laughed, the guy with yellow hoodie facepalmed, the guy off-screen said let's move on, and the gray suit guy did. What happened there?
