As a Muslim Arab woman, what brother Hijab said at the end is very important. A lot of us were force-fed feminism and other liberal Western values. So now, some of us, when we hear Allah's laws, we get a bad feeling in our hearts. The hearts got sick, brother Hijab. We need to heal. I do not need to fit the Western narrative. If these Westerners want to perceive me as oppressed and in need of their saving (the god complex of the (non-Muslim) Westerner back at it again), fine let them live in their illusion. I am unbothered. It is time we heal from the colonial damage and learn to be ourselves unapologetically. Embrace Islam, submit to Allah swt and have sincere intentions. You do not need to be recognized or approved by the (non-Muslim) White person. That person does not need to give you a green light. You are putting that power in the hands of the (non-Muslim, or let me say this time, Kafir) White person. You are the problem. Destroy the slave mentality. You belong to a nation of two billion people, multiracial, multicultural, extremely rich history and glorious civilization. Therefore, wake up and start healing.
I’m an Arab woman too, all I can say my dear sister nothing heals like getting close to Allah, learning more about Allah, Quran and Sunna helps a LOT to be aware of Allahs rules, punishment , hope and love , and when our hearts are filled with those I mentioned then nothing can make our hearts sick, because Allah promised to protect us when we rely on Him and follow His commandments. Look at most of the feminist all they know are only those few verses talks good about women and only few hadiths that are good about women, and they always mention mother Khadijah , but they don’t mention how she was serving the prophet SalaAllaho Alyhi Wasam nor how she took care of her home, all they mention is that she was business woman, and they always mention the beloved prophet SalaAllaho Alyhi wasalam helping house work, only these details are most famous to them, they pick and choose. but was the beloved prophet SalaAllaho Alyhi wasalam always cleaning? Or did he made a contract with his wives that they will have a timetable one day he will clean and the other day his wife clean? , did mother Khadijah left the beloved prophet SalaAllaho Alyhi wasalam cooking and she goes for her business? … Just few yrs ago there was no question asked when people get married (in non western countries), the man knew his responsibility and the woman knew her responsibility… it was just automatically each partner knows their responsibility, they lived happy, and this was and still is in some families even non Muslims , so where did our Muslim sisters got this feminism idea? , they got it because of staying away from the Quran and Sunnah, when the western ideology of feminism started spreading to Muslims the women who are holding to Quran and sunnah were not affected, I don’t mean to say the feminist Muslims are not educated, they are some who are islamically educated but education without practice doesn’t benefit anyone , especially Islamic knowledge , you leave it it leaves you. May Allah protect and guid us
MH gives a lesson 101 in not shying away from giving the most controversial Quranic verses to a hostile public for the benefit of giving dawah! Non-apologetic and I like it. We should take notes!
That's how it should be the Muslim feminists have not been given a hard pushback in a while by the weak daeys it's good to put them in their place imagine how ignorant that women in the audience felt when hijab recited the disbelief verses of joking about the Qur'an after she laughed at the verse of qawama.
Really, no one know but what westerners doing with women is insane. See how they use from our sisters in their commercial market to illustrate see in UFC they bring women with half naked and make them attractive to get followers and attract people.
A mother will always put her life first for her children , but she won't do the same for her employer. That's a powerful argument. ALHAMDOULILLAH for the ni3ma of Islam.
it is actually a bad comparison. your child and an employee can never be compared. Both a father and a mother would sacrifice for their children. Think about what would you do for your family. You wouldn't do the same for a colleague.
@@Islamiccountryball If you look into the fiqh reasons (from all madhabs), abortion is never taken lightly. It is always a balanced argument considering all implications. As sad and abhorrent as abortion or even speaking about it is, there are very few exceptions and reasons that it would take place.
Ustad M.Hijab has done soo much for islam. May Allah bless him for his sacrifice and efforts. He possibly has fulfilled a fard kifayah(communal obligation)
I’m a belgian student studying in this very university (and no one gave me the memo haha !). People may not know but the dawah is growing in our country as well as the liberal views among young people. This results in an expanding segregation between two opposite camps in the youth: those that wish to remain traditional (wether muslims or not) and those that don’t. The problem is that many brothers ( and mainly sisters) have been taken in cross fires and are mixing the two resulting in a “westernised ” discourse about islam. Dawah is important and it must include thoughts on modern ideologies. Barak Allah fikum !

Fatima al-Fihri was a Muslim woman from Tunisia who founded the first known university more than 1,000 years ago: the University of al-Qarawiyyin in Fez, Morocco. Guinness World Records acknowledges it as the oldest existing and continually operating educational institution in the world.
How unapologetic he is, alhamdulIllah. He really reminds me of the people mentioned in the following hadith: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: A group of people from my Umma will continue to fight In defence of truth and remain triumphant until the Day of judgment. -- Sahih Muslim 1923
please upload the question answer session because I was intrigued of a question from a feminist woman in the audience and also wanted the answer given by Mohammed hijab for it.
@kingsultan3 alhamdullilah brother I'm 35 married for 15 years and have 5 beautiful children... I am a muslimah living in the UK, I obtained my further degree when I was 23 and after being at home to spend raise my children I have 2 years ago returned to work and I teach science In an Islamic girls high school. Alhamdullilah, I have four daughters, I say to them as muslimahs our first duty is always to our home, husband and children, only work if none of these sre compromised, never compete with the men, we have different duties , and therefore we must work with each and not against. May Allah protect pur children and trash of liberalism and feminism. Remember me in your duas .
@kingsultan3 alhamdullilah my son i tell him he needs to strong and dedicated and a protector to his sisters/ mother and insha Allah his wife. My husband is an excellent role model for him, practicing muslim and committed leader of the family. As a muslimah I feel so relieved Allah hasn't put the burden on me to be the Head of the family, that's my husbands role which he is doing a fantastic job of. I always say to the kids , your dad is the general and I am his chief commanding officer! And you are all our soldiers.

Allahs commands are the best and I’m grateful that He chose me and allowed me to follow them! Raddee tu billahi Rabban wa bil islami deenan wa biMuhammadin nabiya!
If you ask a woman like me living in the West. Yes it is tiring to work and study at the same time to be a full time mother. Ask women seeking a career whether it feels fair to be compared to be a man in every sense of it and its psycholohically tiring not being allowed to be a woman
It's nature's fault to make women so weak. Children are the biggest hurdle in women's progress I won't loose my identity and sit at the comfort zone of home being a looser.
To my sisters in Islam, to my mothers and my daughters. You are powerful as Allah created you. Without you we wouldn't manage our daily affairs. Please don't listen to the Dajjalic narrative. Dajjal will make Hell look like Paradise and Paradise to Hellfire. Even I as a man sometimes get affected in the heart by the femenist Dajjalic narrative. It comes in a form of Dajjalic salesman, that attacks our core and put doubts in our hearts. But when you look through that beautiful wall the only thing you see is Hell.
@@lollmao249 No that is not allowed. So, that answer is no, you shouldn't be happy about that and the husband is also not allowed to marry you if he has 4 wives. I would say that the recommendations of scholars is that a man should only take one wife. Having 4 wives is not får the odinary man. It was more suitable for a different age where the man was away to other countries, or if the women where far more in population than men. So the recommendation today for any man (if he's not living a extraordinary life) and are able to give the same amount of time, love, wealth to his wives then it would not be permissible. And what man today are able to give that to even one wife. Men being horny is not a reason, that is just plain stupid as the women sex drive is the same or maybe even more.

A little surprised but happy this lecture was approved to go through. Usually on college campuses, students are so indoctrinated they would never allow to hear any discussion on what they disagree with. Also looking at the audience, very surprised but in a good way.
Great idea!! Giving dawah to the non-muslims not by straight up mentioning that it's gonna be a lecture on how Islam is the Truth but instead bait them by talking about a world-wide ideology (in this case feminism) and pointing out the negatives and what it is lacking and showing how Islam offers the more appropriate solutions. Ma sha allah.
I think they knew it was related to Islam because he mentions that in passing at the beginning sort of expecting everyone to know that it's related to Islam
Amir the one point you are missing is that ,there is no need to straight up and give lecture on Islam. Islam is the fitrah. It means what islam consist of that is human nature. But human nature could be damaged, poisoned, changed but it always remembers in their heart what is his true form.
Bait them? Why would u need to bait anyone to tell them that your world view is based on you religion. If anyone is smart they know that's the Case with almost all the humans.
Waiting for the Q&A! InshaAllah Great lecture!! brother Hijab. To be fair you should do a lecture on masculinity as well. I know too many! Men who are abusive and take advantage of the rights Allah has giving them. Men who are abusive, mentally, spiritually, financially, sexually, emotionally and physically. This causes a lot of harm to the children and mother. These are topics that are very important. If a woman is not being taken care of, how can she raise the children? Very important! I am not a feminist Alhamdulillah, I am a Muslim. Islam is perfect. If we followed the way of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw) men and women both will live their lives accordingly and raise good children. That's our main goal!!
How people forget!! Shaytan was a believer and worshiped Allah only but defied "only one order of Allah" and became the outcast, cursed and went astray. How come people who claim to be Muslim - laugh at Allah law's and trying to defy the law!! It's unbelievable. Doing the same thing as Shaytan did and still think they are Muslim! This is why Allah warned us - “O you who believe! Follow not the footsteps of Shaytaan (Satan)....." [al-Noor 24:21] Allah said to them who follow saythan - “(Allaah) said: ‘Go, and whosoever of them follows you, surely, Hell will be the recompense of you (all) an ample recompense." [al-Israel 17:63] Allah forgive us, guide us and make us steadfast in the religion of Islam.
My neighbor got married very young. Had three children, and once they grew up, she went back to work and school, and now she's completing her Ph.D. at 42. She has a career, will get her Ph.D. next year, and already have 3 kids. Women don't have to choose between education/career and family. It's just that they have to do family/kids first and at a young age because of biological facts.
Yes, but the point is, what is that education even getting them? If they want to get educated for an end they want to achieve, by all means, but usually people just want to achieve higher education, or have a job because of the feminist prescription. I myself have the opportunity to complete my higher studies, but I wouldn't, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone (unless they want to be academics). That is not to say that one should not acquire knowledge, because the Prophet PBUH state: “Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” Source: Sunan Ibn Mājah 224 But when did our standard of knowledge become PHD or MPHIL, etc.
@@AMDesignAndDev I guss it is important for some to have self-fulfilment: especially when your children start growing, you start having a lot of free time, and taking care of home takes no time nowadays because we have technologies that make it easy to clean, cook, store food etc. Unless the sister is highly spiritual ( spends time doing dhikr, extra prayer and read a lot of Quran etc) it is easy for shaytan and fitna to set in. In that case it is good for the sister to find a purpose to keep her nafs in check such as gathering with other sisters for litterature or some halal activity.
Abu Umaamah al-Baahili (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “Read the Qur’aan, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection and intercede for its companions…” (Narrated by Muslim, 804) This hadeeth is indicative of the virtue of reading the Qur’aan, and the great reward that it brings, and tells us that it will intercede for its companions on the Day of Resurrection for them to enter Paradise.
I watched this with an open mind and saw the positive comments stating how good a talk it was. Unfortunately I wasnt blown away by his lecture. Hijab failed to explain how feminism has made women suffer. Perhaps I’m not understanding since I’m a practicing Muslim woman that I’m failing to see the failure. I’m assuming that bc I’m not a single mother who has no additional support to raise children, perhaps that is what he is referring to. But he didn’t explain what the failure is, yet he talked a lot abt women being mothers and staying at home and not working. Alhamdulillah, my father raised 3 daughters, all 3 of whom are strong, practicing, educated Muslim women. May Allah give my dad jannah, ameen. All 3 of us hold degrees in higher education and have careers. We wear hijab, we fulfill our 5 pillars of Islam, and we are strong and firm in our faith Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah Allah blessed me with children. I work, I raise my children close to the deen and I respect my husband and he respects and cares for me. It is mutual. I am happy to have a career. It is my domain. As my parents have taught me, I am raising my children to be educated while having family values so that iA they too can one day have their own families and raise the next generation, while contributing to society thru their professional jobs while affording the leisure time to personally contribute to their communities. Being a mother doesnt mean that you can’t have hobbies, a job and personal aspirations. I think children that are born to mothers that lack emotional maturity and strong educational foundation are in a difficult position. May Allah help our ummah to prepare women to be strong minded and educated to become good mothers, ameen. I don’t want to quit my job. I enjoy being able to be useful in other ways and having a part of my life that is my own. It allows me to be a better mother and be an example for my children and to not place so much burden on my husband as well. I need my husband for many things, but I can also stand on my own 2 feet Alhamdulillah. One thing that I am immensely grateful for is the extended support Allah granted me in helping my husband and I raise our children. Our parents, in laws, aunts, uncles, cousin, friends-it takes a village to raise a child and all of the responsibility can’t fall on a mother or father. They are at the helm, but there is a team as well that provides so much support. Without that team, I wouldn’t have been able to juggle my career. Alhamdulillah x1000, even more for that barakah. So Hijab failed to explain how modern feminism has ruined women when I’m not an anomaly. I know other strong Muslim women who went to school and are experts in their field of study while raising families. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume we’re not what he is talking abt. He needs to explain better bc he lost me entirely.
The thing is you're looking at it from your own anecdotal perspective and hijab is actually stating statistics and facts. For example the women's happiness study which stated that their happiness levels have gone down. Another thing is that most women can't or are not able to juggle both work and house work, they fail in that department so it ends up burdening them even more due to which some problems arise, be it anger, bitterness, or tiredness etc. The shariah also states that a woman is allowed to work as long as she is fulfilling the her duties at the house or she is not ignoring her house duties. A vast majority of women aren't able to juggle both work and house work. Some women can so good for them, as shariah also supports them if they are able to work and do the house work also.
I think it goes to say that the feminist movement benefited Muslim women the most bc it encouraged women to go to school and attain higher education and find careers. At the same time our culturally Islamic family values do not place a focus on nuclear family only. We do not “leave and cleave”. Extended families share and provide support to each other. The western idea of the nuclear family places too much burden on the husband and wife, and mostly on the woman. I agree, having to single-handedly raise children and work to contribute to the household is too much on women in society, especially with the disintegration of the family. The burden is further placed on women even more. Like I said, I assumed that Hijab was not talking abt women like me and was talking abt feminism from specifically a non-Muslim sense, one that is solely based in the post sexual revolution era and the decline of marriage and 2 parent family households. And this is where I feel his talk missed the mark, bc it’s worth mentioning how the Muslim community has created a model example out of the movement.
@@wc7zr Also, it disrupts the natural symbiotic nexus of the masculine and the feminine of the husband and the wife respectively. Any moves to reduce men's responsibility for children and women constitutes a serious attack on the essential ingredient of self-sacrifice which goes into making up a viable community and thus women are the foundation because the woman who submits to marriage (and fulfils her motherhood and wifehood to the fullest potential) is the one whose sacrifice unleashes the latent altruism in men and integrates the community. Basically, as women gravitate more towards the independent end of the spectrum, it usurps the men's divine responsibility to provide and protect for women; and men and women, as generations pass, find it increasingly difficult to rationalize to be interdependent on each other as there are less and less reasons for women to be with a man. Basically, marriage is reduced to mere procreation, which is the most fundamental aspect but should not be the only aspect.

Unfortunately, the modern Muslim man has also abandoned that financial duty that Islam has prescribed upon men, and this default has also been the cause of divorces.

An woman who does not obey certain verses of Quran is like a person who does not follow specific instruction in Quran; ie drinking Alcohol or stealing. But saying the woman as Kafr is a bit harsh. Only Allah knows what is in someone's heart. May be the woman has certain experience in her life which prevents her following specific order in Quran. We need to be more generous on these issues.
It is not harsh someon who doesnt accept what Allah has revealed is a kafir. That is not harsh but reality. We judge by what is apparent. Her not submitting is her own problem.
Simp, move on you are not hurt, the coward simp in you is hurt. Hijab here is right, anyone that clearly says I disagree with this verse of the Quran is committing an act of transgression against Allah's word. Even one disagreement against the Quran makes you a Kaafir. And those who defend such cowards are also transgressing as they are defending her sin of disagreeing with Allah.
Disobeying and disbelieving are two different things. Disobeying Quranic commands does not make one a Kafir, as we are all sinners. Disbelieving in a Quranic command is something else entirely.
For me it's simple and my 2 daughters will be taught this... If you are a modern day feminist then you will be unhappy always. It's as simple as that. There is no finish line to modern day feminism. There is no end goal.

Sauda heard that Muhammad might divorce her for she is useless for bed. She couldn’t find any solution. She knew that at this age, and because she had no kids, no one would marry her. She talked to ‘Aisha and asked her for help, because she knew how powerful ‘Aisha was. Then'Aisha got an idea. We can find the reference concerning what ‘Aisha said in many locations. Here is one of them in Suanan Abu Dawood, Book of Nikah (sexual intercourse-which Muslims translate as marriage), p. 243, Hadith 2135: Reported from ‘Aisha: “The prophet used to go and visit all of us each in her day and he had sexual intercourse with each woman in her day only!” (Look how fair he was. SUNAN OF ABU DAWOOD When Sauda aged and she felt or feared that the prophet might divorce her, she said, “Oh apostle of Allah, I give my day to'Aisha.” So the prophet accepted what Sauda said, and in this event Allah sent Qur’an 4:128: If a wife fears lack of sexual attraction ( ازوﺷﻦ)or abandonment on her husband’s part, there is no chide or reproach on them if they arrange a reconciliation settlement between themselves; and such settlement is best; even though men’s souls are changed by greed. Feminism can't be about women doing the same thing as men. I think it is more about equal rights, opportunities and respect. What he is speaking about are feministic movements and their prominent protagonists. But he mentioned some important points. The general perception of women who don't work but are doing a lot for their families did become worse.

So as a woman i should be very happy marrying a man with 4 wifes ?

This is why Allah warned us - “O you who believe! Follow not the footsteps of Shaytaan (Satan)....." [al-Noor 24:21]
Allah said to them who follow saythan - “(Allaah) said: ‘Go, and whosoever of them follows you, surely, Hell will be the recompense of you (all) an ample recompense." [al-Israel 17:63]
Allah forgive us, guide us and make us steadfast in the religion of Islam.
I myself have the opportunity to complete my higher studies, but I wouldn't, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone (unless they want to be academics).

one of the best lectures I've seen on feminism, great work
I watched this with an open mind and saw the positive comments stating how good a talk it was.
@@wc7zr I think you should read the two income trap by Suzanne Venker.
@@wc7zr Also the Miseducation of women by James Tooley

Murji*.
Disobeying and disbelieving are two different things. Disobeying Quranic commands does not make one a Kafir, as we are all sinners. Disbelieving in a Quranic command is something else entirely.

* Surah Ayat 21:98 -* Those who worship anyone other than Allah are the fuel of hell!

Islam treats women horribly. Period. See the way mohammad treated his own wife sawdah,
Mohammad discarded Sauda when she became old and unattractive,
When Sauda had aged, was fat, and heavy in movement, Muhammad stopped coming to her in her night for sex! 243, Hadith 2135:
Reported from ‘Aisha: “The prophet used to go and visit all of us each in her day and he had sexual intercourse with each woman in her day only!” (Look how fair he was.
SUNAN OF ABU DAWOOD
When Sauda aged and she felt or feared that the prophet might divorce her, she said, “Oh apostle of Allah, I give my day to'Aisha.” So the prophet accepted what Sauda said, and in this event Allah sent Qur’an 4:128:
If a wife fears lack of sexual attraction ( ازوﺷﻦ)or abandonment on her husband’s part, there is no chide or reproach on them if they arrange a reconciliation settlement between themselves; and such settlement is best; even though men’s souls are changed by greed. But if you do good and seek protection by obeying Allah, God is all knowledgeable with all that ye do.
The funny word (Nshoze, ازوﺷﻦ) is the same word used in Qur’an 4:34 which gives the man a reason for his wife- beating, but if the man did it, she has to let it go and do his wishes to please him!

You just now said islam has a solution for all problems, so why aren't the problems vanishing ??

My heart breaks for Nasirah in the audience. Haven't even heard her voice but you can tell she's broken
I'm sorry who? Was there another speaker?
Where is the Q&A remaining part of video?!!
WE NEED THE Q&A SECTION NOW
Alhamdulillah, great lecture, jazak Allahu khair. One thing which you've probably heard before so just by way of continuous improvement and constructive critique - sometimes the approach can be a bit too direct for some who may not be at the level of emaan and knowledge where they can digest the information in the way you say it. Gentleness in delivery can help significantly, although I appreciate when people are infected with insidious liberalist propaganda which manifest in shouting across the room, it can raise the temperature - the key is cooling down and fighting fire with water, as it were.
Where’s the q n a??

How can i watch the questions and answers of this video
Would like to see the Q/A session
The woman 37 minutes in proved Br. Hijab's point that women struggle to stay as calm as men emotionally lol...
Personally i like it that my wife sees a women doc and nurses and obgyn and a my daughter a female pediatrician and teachers for my children are women.
That's completely fine. Muslims aren't saying women can't have careers.
Islam allows doctor, nurse, teacher, designer etc etc as career for women
So?
Wonderful session, where can I find the q&a?

excellent presentation, no need to make up to comfort anyone, those clear and cut issues should be presented in a clear-cut way. indeed feminism is destroying not only females but also males
Need to see the Q&A video..
where's the q&a
Thank you for sharing.
When you are alone with kids you need to work because you have to feed your kids as man dont take responsibility leaving you with children.
Feminism can't be about women doing the same thing as men. I think it is more about equal rights, opportunities and respect. What he is speaking about are feministic movements and their prominent protagonists. But he mentioned some important points. The general perception of women who don't work but are doing a lot for their families did become worse.
Question and Answer session please ?
Could you guys upload the q and a as well?
where can I find the Q&A ?
