I love Dr Esselstyn. Thanks for sharing info on the greens and heart health. One thing he has us do to them is to "liberally anoint them with balsamic vinegar". So far, loving Mary's Mini. Thanks.
Encouraging thanks.
You are so good to do this while traveling. You must be so tired. Thank you!!
Thank you for doing this! I have been following the McDougall's Starch Solution program for over 8 years and haven't done a mini in awhile - put on some weight this past year and feel great today. Chose potatoes and am keeping it very simple and monotonous. Ate mashed potatoes and a salad for breakfast, had more mashed potatoes with green beans and broccoli for dinner, opted for a banana this afternoon, and am having veggie loaded hash browns for dinner.
Great presentation! I missed the beginning registration but have been watching on RUclips, thanks.
Day Two was nice Gustavo. Brought a peace in my day. Your presence on RUclips is helping me a lot!!!! Pictures was a huge plus✅ Hope you get some rest. Have a wonderful visit with your mother. Looking forward to tomorrow Gustavo. 🥔🥔🥔
Gustavo you look great! Glad you had safe travels.
Had air fried potatoes and green peppers and onion on day 2 with salad for breakfast. Lunch and dinner were the same...baked potato with green beans.
This was amazing! Thank you so much for the support and the ideas! ❤
Had hash browns with sauté yellow squash w/mushrooms. Lunch mashed potatoes with Brussels sprouts
Sounds great!
@@plantemus had your potatoes and onion and zucchini for dinner❣️ yum❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
@@abbygailhavel3655 Mashed potatoes and.brussel sprouts is one of my all time favorites!
@@brendastranack4512 it was very good
So the veggies you change, only the starch is the same?
Yes, correct.
Carrots are 6.9% starch as per Cronometer, definitely a non starchy veg. Mary McDougall always allows green peas as a non starchy veg and they are about 20% starch. Novick says butternut squash at 27% starch does ot have enough starch to stad alone. Much under 30% starch and a veggie is considered non starchy,
Thank you for the clarification. I appreciate it.
Thanks so much for this information as I feel overwhelmed wondering what to cook but these are so simple…. What’s your favorite dessert as I have a sweet tooth?
Favorite dessert is fruit, baked apples with a date in it, sweet potatoes with banana slices.
@@plantemus Thanks Gustavo, I’ll try those when this is over, here in Ireland we love turnips so we boil them so I add lots of garlic so their nice n wet lovely with the potatoes 🥔 or spuds as we say here
What about tofu/tempe?
Not in this MAry's Mini but yes in our regular WFPB eating.
So rice is ok for Mary’s mini? Thought it had to be potatoes.. are beans allowed or not for these ten days?
Ah limit beans…
Yes, rice is allowed and so is corn. They can be the main starch. Did you see the orientation sessions I did where I spoke about which starches to choose from? There orientation sessions are in my RUclips channel. Let me know if you have any questions.
