    I love this pattern! It's elegant and challening enough to keep me alert, but not stressed....and the colors are so beautiful! And the calming music and set design (especially the picture behind you) just increase the sense of peace....Thank you and Tim as ever for my first-thing-to-do-on-Friday moments. Hello, you beauty, too! I feel very fine entertained by watching your videos! You show love, light way of being and super - easy - to - do's by fabricing the shawls you show us and that's what l need in my life so much! You know l'm very ill and it's come worse my last few weeks. Normally these signs stay so that l've to accept now they belong to my life. But although my hands are struggling by shaking like having mb. Parkinson, (l don't suffer on that. I'm in my wheelchair and try not to have too much pain by moving and l enjoy what's enjoyable ever! One great is playing my concert guitar as long as l can by playing notes and the other is: l can knit and so some of your wonderful patterns l was motivated to knit cs you made them look so fine and some shiny, too, are now mineor l gave them to pple who looked better in it than me. l love these pieces of mine: pullovers, shawls and a little but ongrowing number of others. Thanks a lot, my dear and have a great time! Be blessed!

      @Pam K,
      If your intention is to create useful garments, for yourself and/or others, it is beneficial to learn the skills required to accomplish that goal. You will not be able to create one object if you never learn to cast off, right? 😳
      You could try: Roxanne Richards and Knitting with Suzanne Bryan, both master knitters who enjoy helping others learn the craft and, both on RUclips. They have knitting tutorials on almost anything you want to know about the actual knitting process and techniques.
      When you develop new skills a few things happen__you learn the 'how-to's, you make useful things with that knowledge and, above all else, it's good for your brain because it increases your ability to become more creative. And creativity improves quality of life.
      So, go ahead, learn the new skills that will help you create beautiful things__as well as increase your 'happiness quotient'!
      Love, Light, and Blessings.
      🙏😇✨💫🌱🌿🌻🐝🌳🌎💖🙌🙌🙌😺

    Good morning Chandi🙋 Another lovely shawl pattern. My knitting skills are getting much better thanks to you🤗 I tried however, to knit the "UME" shawl. I keep messing up, not knowing where I'm making mistakes🤷. I just know that the number of my stitches are not correct (at the lace part) and are not correlating with the pattern instructions. So I gave up. (After about 8 tries 😠) Now, I will try this pattern. Starting today, after breakfast, I will begin. I called myself an adventurous beginner but "UME" proved me different😢 LOL. I'll go back to the basics😊.
    Have a good day. Much Peace, Love and Blessings to you💜

    I know you have mentioned to block before you weave in loose ends. When you soak in water, do your loose ends come undone? Can't wait to make this one next.

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  Год назад

      Usually they don't but if you're worried you can weave in the ends first but not cut the tail and then block. This way if something comes loose you have tails left to fix. After that you can cut them short.
      I hope this helps. Have a great day! 💚

      From a quick glance the row repeats are all the same. So you can just repeat rows 1-12 until you've reached the shawl size you like and start the instructions for the Lace Border.

    Beautiful! I am an advanced beginner and want to try this pattern. Gauge is still very tricky for me. The needle size for this yarn on your website is 0-2. Why do you recommend a needle size 6? How much yarn would I need if I used a size 3 or 4? Thanks for your help.

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  4 года назад +2

      Astrid, the needle suggestions are just that - suggestions. But you can use whatever size you prefer. You'll need the same amount of yarn as mentioned in the pattern if using a 3 or 4 but I would just use what the pattern suggests. :)
