Thank you so very much, you are a real Angel! You, personally, have made me fall in love with knitting again and ALSO allowed me to understand charts as you explained it perfectly!! I was suffering badly with psychological issues (Ex-Armed Forces 😳) and couldn’t get passed 4 rows with ANY pattern I tried to follow!! YOUR PERSONALITY AND YOUR GORGEOUS WARM way of teaching has brought back my love for knitting and following patterns - that and the fact you took time out of your own busy life to make this tutorial and explain the pattern FREE, allowed me to attempt and also follow so easily and ENJOY, in fact, LOVE this fabulous pattern!! You truly are an ANGEL!!!! I hope more people become INSPIRED and EXCITED to start following you because you are a life changer and a truly special GENUINELY caring person and I’m so so glad I found your channel as I am so excited to check everything you have m. Thank you 🙏 🤗🤗
Thank you for your generous gift! And thank you always for your careful, clear and slow explanations of so very many techniques (I especially appreciate when you take the time to show them "English style" in addition to Continental). Knit on!
Yeah! i love KC set up patterns. It seems most of designers I love, are not collaborating with KC. What a shame! I keep suggesting it...oh well. I am so glad you are working with them now and making their tutorials. Sally does have great tutorials in the KC online class but even though I have been knitting 60+ years, I keep forgetting how to do things and have to keep relearning. Your tutorials are easier for me to follow. Thank you for all your amazing work for us.
Can someone please advise me of the KC online site? Is this referring to Sally’s online tutorials on here (RUclips)? Or does she have a website too? I would love to have all info on her tutorials, websites, patterns etc as this woman is a HERO, thank you very much in advance.
I have to admit I was cursing you as I had to start this pattern over 5 times before getting the correct alignment of the spine stitch. I finally figured out my error. I was using a small ring marker that was sneaking its way over underneath a YO where it did not belong. So when I would “knit to marker” it was in the wrong spot and my spine stitch was shifting over each time. MY MISTAKE! I am now using a larger ring marker that cannot sneak. THANK YOU FOR THIS LOVELY PATTERN!! ❤️👍❤️
Staci, thank you so much for this pattern and tutorial. What a gorgeous gift you have for us! Love the pattern. BTW, I love the impromptu home setting with all the cameo appearances your pups make from time to time. Thanks again! ❤️
Thanks so much. I just brought a cake of variegated sport weight yarn from Katia and couldn't find a pattern I loved, until now! Great tutorial and pattern. I made this shawl and it went so fast. I just finished washing and blocking it. It turned out lovely! Thank you so much for sharing your patterns and for your excellent tutorials!
Thank you for a very generous gift. Such a great demonstration. I am planning to knit this in a cotton as a summer weight shawl. Merry Christmas from down under Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
I LOVE THIS BIND OFF SO MUCH! It's so fun and it's pretty too! I ended my shawl with 2 rows of garter after the third round and with this bind off, it look amazing. Thank you!
I cast on an hour ago while watching Queer Eye (for the first time) and am one row into the zigzag section. Just now moved from written and looked at the charts and OMG! This is going to be soooooo easy to do while watching tv, thank you so much for the well written pattern. I'm trying hard to stash bust, I'm on the edge of a yarn hoarding problem and most everything is one or two skeins. This will be the first shawl I've made for MYSELF! We're getting a week of winter starting Monday, maybe before it hides again I'll have this to wrap up in
I am just now blocking the Plumo shawl, came out really nice I think, and will be starting the Chill shawl in the morning. always great to take in your tutorials!
Thank you so much for this pattern. Your instructions are easy to follow and fun to knit, and your tutorial is delightful and so very helpful. I really appreciate your time and efforts. 👍👏
thank you so much for this new pattern! I am almost finished with my Christmas gift knitting and this is perfect for me to make for myself. I even have yarn just waiting for the right pattern. I am still a beginner and so really appreciate your detailed video so i can knit along. My knitting chop closed during the pandemic and I don't have my group anymore. Thank you!!
Thank you. Since I am currently using the free version it is nice to see the advanced features in this free pattern. Gives me some ideas of how to use the advanced features for a future subscription.
Brilliant Staci, as always. I’d got the yarn on sale then could not find the type of shawl I wanted but there you are the perfect pattern. Now I’ve got shawl and your adult booties to keep me busy, thank you ❤
What a great pattern, Staci! I started knitting a similar top-down triangle a few days ago, using a long gradient yarn and the "Chinese waves" slip-stitch pattern, and now I wish I had waited just a few days because I totally forgot about starting with a garter tab. So much neater! And I really like the zig-zag segment. I think I'm going to introduce that and its narrow garter strip into my shawl. Thank you for all you share with the knitting community. I first encountered you years ago on the "Big Knit List" bulletin board and I still keep coming back on YT for your clear, well-presented tutorials.
What a beautiful gift for us. This is a really beautiful shawl. I have some yarn in my stash but I really like the gradient too! Oh gee, I might have to make 2 ! Thank you, thank you. 😶🌫️💕💕😀🥰
Thank you for the pattern and for introducing me to the knitting companion app. It is a game changer. I am using the free version, but am considering upgrading. I just am finishing a color worked fingerless mitt pattern and could not believe how easy the charting was to follow. I always look forward to your videos.
Thank you so much for this pattern! I have started it using three colors that blend into one another and I am in section A lace and loving it! I so look forward to all of your videos and have learned so much from you! I have been knitting for 70 years (since I was a child sitting next to my grandma) and I’m still learning. You are an excellent teacher. I so enjoy, since you’ve been shooting videos at home, seeing your dogs run around behind you outside and enjoying having mommy home! Hope your holidays were great and Happy New Year to you and yours! Looking forward to more videos!
Thank you and KC so much for this free pattern and great tutorial! Got the pattern and loaded great into KC ... yay! Love that there is the chart to follow as I have been trying to use charts more in my knitting and loving it. And thank you for doing the video series on using Knit Companion. I now have both the IOS and the Android version thanks to your teachings ... the video series will be very handy when I can get the full IOS upgrade onto a bit larger device! Thanks again ... Happy Holidays!
Thank you so much! You're the best teacher of knitting. I've watched you for years ☺️ The radiant yarn is exciting, don't have to keep changing colors. Love it 💖
Great pattern and with such a wonderful tutorial I have learned about reading a chart which always scared me. First section of the shawl done on to number 2!
Great simple shawl!!!! You've been my go-to since I re-picked up knitting after numerous years of not....life happens. 😉 I'm gonna figure out a way to make that a 4-panel shawl....😊
I started this pattern today. It is amazing how the pattern was already set up for my Knit Companion! Very impressive. I’m using variegated sock yarn by Premier. I’m almost through with the first section. Thank you so much for this fun pattern. Merry Christmas.
I hope it's not too late to thank you for this pattern, tutorial, and another year of help, joy, and connection! Got the yarn and the pattern. Happy 2022 Staci!😘
You are an inspiration, always thinking about giving back to the knitting community. I love all your content and always recommend new knitters to check out your videos.
Excellent video! I love the pattern and your kind generosity for offering it to us. Very happy I watched this before knitting the shawl! Happy Holidays!
Nice pattern, thanks! I like to draw a little symbol over the spot on the chart where the center marker is. Just helps me to orient myself in the row, at least until the pattern is permanently in my noggin
Thank you, Stacy, for the beautiful pattern and walking me through the graphs. That was so helpful! I have some special hombre yarn I have been saving for the perfect project t and this is it! Casting on today!!!
great chill pattern! I'm thinking of knitting this with a bunch of blue, teal, and purple merino minis held together with silver silk / mohair. And, because I really love bands of stockinette in triangle shawls, I might make the stockinette areas wider and the zig-zag less wide. Thanks for the simple beautiful pattern to change up however I want.
Hello and Merry Christmas. I have recently started knitting shawls and I am loving it!! Thank you so much for this free pattern and all of the wonderful content you put on RUclips. Best wishes to you and your family!
Oh really love this one Stacey 💕 thank you so much for the free pattern, love your video, you really do make my day with your relaxed tutorial. Seasons greetings from across the pond in the UK xx
Muchas gracias por tan hermoso regalo! Me encantó para hacerlo, excelente explicación. Te sigo desde hace varios años, me sacas de dudas con tus técnicas que enseñas me encanta tu canal, saludos 🙌👍❤️
Thank you so much for the pretty shawl pattern and wonderful tutorial, Staci. I have some pretty self-striping yarn with metallic thread running through it that I think will be really pretty in one of these. I'm looking forward to a relaxing knitting project after the chaos of gift knitting. Merry Christmas and a happy healthy 2022!
Thank you so much 😊 I need a breather project after just having finished my Stephen West MKAL 2021, and before starting Hiberknit. Maybe I will actually try using Knit Companion for this little shawl. Have a wonderful holiday season.
Thanks for this lovely pattern! I am using Knit Companion (free version on my android) and have saved this pattern 3 times, each color coded for the yarn I am using. The notes feature is very useful for keeping yarn information at hand. I started all 3 at once on DPNs. I have one at bind off now (Anzula Lucero DK Violet hand dyed Fresno, CA 80% Superwash Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Stellina) and then my 6/24" circulars will be free to work on another. I really like the bind off you demonstrated as well, and it may become a favorite after I get done with the other shawls. Hope you are staying warm. We have the same temps in Tyler area that my Ohio family members are experiencing. 🥶

Love your tutorials! You are my “Go To Gal “ when it comes to something new! 😘

Thanks for the reminder about using larger rings!
Staci, thank you so much for this pattern and tutorial. What a gorgeous gift you have for us! Love the pattern.

Thank you so much for this lovely Church present!
Boy knit companion might be the next Ralvery cool. Thanks you Stacey for this lovely Christmas gift.
That’s a great straightforward stretchy bind-off! I find that by the time I’m ready to bind off, I don’t want to do anything complicated!
Thanks so much. I just brought a cake of variegated sport weight yarn from Katia and couldn't find a pattern I loved, until now! Great tutorial and pattern.

What a gorgeous pattern! I’m going to use 3 yarns to create a colorful scarf. Thank you for sharing 🥰
I may use more - 7 or 8 - as I have so many sock weight remnants in my stash.
Thank you so much for this pattern. Your instructions are easy to follow and fun to knit, and your tutorial is delightful and so very helpful. I really appreciate your time and efforts. 👍👏
