    I can't knit to save my life (I'm an obsessed crocheted though!) However, I figured this pattern on my own 10 years ago to make a baby blanket for my first grandchild. It took FOREVER not being a knitter but I got it done. A labor of love for sure! It's a fun and easy pattern 👍 I love all your videos: best out there in my opinion. Would you still get a textured effect if you used a variegated color Oasis Camel Silk yarn?

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  2 года назад

      Yes, you'll still have the same texture, but it will very likely be less visible if made with a variegated color. It depends on how much color variety there is. A slightly variegated yarn that is closer to a solid tone will show off a texture better than a wildly variegated yarn. However, Oasis would be a lovely yarn for these designs.

    Chandi, I am rather knit challenged at times. In looking at the pattern, there is a chart with Inches across the top- 9-10", 11-13" etc, and StsPer inch at the start. What is that for? I am confused by this. Is this for the width you'd like the wrap/Scarf? If so, are the numbers inside what you cast on? This is what confuses me. Please explain. Thank you so much!!! I love the pattern, the video, and TIM looks great with that scarf on!

    • @ExpressionFiberArts

      Yes, find your stitches per inch (after doing a gauge swatch). Then to make whichever size width you prefer, check the chart for the number of stitches to cast on. The scarf and shawl instructions are in the PDF for you. Thanks!

I've struggled with this for years until recently. Suzanne Bryan has a video showing how to fix this issue and it works!
