Happy Christmas Martyn & Mark, thanks for sharing Stow on the Wold with us. Thank you very much for all your podcasts throughout the year, always entertaining and very inspiring. Already looking forward to your podcasts in 2025 and hope to see you again at Wonderwool in April, best wishes to you both, xx❤
Martyn, thank you most sincerely for taking us along with you on your Advent journey! The time, care and effort that goes into these videos is appreciated! Glad you and Mark got a bit of a rest and relax! I know I’m old but I really must read Hansel and Gretel again……your dolls are SO cute! And the swan is absolutely beautiful!! Wishing you and yours the most wonderful Christmas! Looking forward to seeing the Christmas cake and those lovely cast ons….(and the kids and their new hats)
Martin, I’ve had a hectic Xmas eve here in Australia rushing my daughter’s dog to the emergency vet with a ?snake bite after collapsing in the park. Luckily she’s ok but it’s been stressful. I’ve just sat down with a gin and tonic and saw ur podcast pop up. (I never miss one) The little jingle at the beginning was so soothing to my frayed nerves. Thank you 😊 Knitting makes everything better. Merry Xmas x
Hope everything is ok? Sending best wishes from the Uk for you to get things sorted and manage a relaxing day. Worrying about our kids and our furr babies is so stressful. Martin always succeeds in cheering me up and making me keep working on my projects.
Thank you for this. I put you on to keep me company on Christmas Eve in the morning to keep me company whilst I sanitized and cleaned the kitchen for Christmas cooking. I and you completed the task exactly when you were closing. Happy Christmas to you and yours. May you find joy and peace in the moments of The upcoming days
I hope you, and Mark, and your families have a lovely festive few days 😊 thank you for all of your content this year! I've really enjoyed watching your vlogmas videos (you're the only person who's vlogmas videos I follow - I find I don't have time for the daily ones, and I like the format of yours every few days). I look forward to seeing you in the next one 🙂 I also feel better about it being Christmas Eve and I also haven't iced my Christmas cake! 🤣 I'm glad it's not just me......
I can not even begin to tell you how happy I am to have found your channel in September. I’m so excited to see where 2025 will take you and your crafts. Have a very Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas Martin and Mark. You have curated a lovely holiday vlog this year. I know it’s a bit of hard work and we do appreciate your efforts and enthusiasm.
Your Hansel and Gretyl characters are lovely and I especially like Gretyl’s hair plaits! I think the rose might be a book marker to mark the page of the fairy tale as you read it. Thank you for making vlogmas videos Martyn and happy Christmas.
Thank you for sharing your December! Your walk-abouts were especially fun. Envy for that pub food! Loved sharing in your Toft adventure. I have enjoyed each upload 😊 Thank you & Merry Christmas!❤ (Looking forward to seeing the Hyber knit colors come together. I have mine boxed & ready too!)
Ahhhh, so invisible rows mimic crochet in the round only they are crocheted flat. Is that it? You are such a good uncle-those hats look fabulous. They will love playing with the black light I am sure 😊
Ok it's now Christmas morning first I would like to wish Martin mark their family and the whole knit 365 community a merry merry Christmas and a joyful healthy new year... thank you martyn for all you do❤❤❤❤
Thank you for another fun vlogmas. I was afraid we weren't going anywhere this year, so the visit to Cotswold was delightful. That Toft Advent just keeps getting better. Very nice indeed. Merry Chrustmas to all of your family.
Wishing you & your family a wonderful & love filled Christmas. Thank you for your engaging and thoroughly enjoyable podcasts throughout the years. Congrats on hitting over 10K subscribers!
Happy Christmas!!! 🎄 I’m not sure whether a spinning wheel is really something you will use a lot (it is a spinning wheel right), but sometimes we have to bite the bullet, give it a shot, and then realize that Mark was right. Then one can let it go with confidence. That was the story of me and my treadmill. Very enthusiastic at the beginning and then, not so much. I didn’t have a good place to use it/store it. It became a towel rack in the spare bedroom for a few years before someone took it off my hands.
Glad you both had a break in stow, it is one of the nicer places in the cotswolds in my opinion. I had to laugh at your long commute from pub to room! Merry xmas Martin and Mark. Enjoy the cake, i have mine made this year with your help! Thank you for a great vlogmas. ❤😊
Thank you Martin for all off the vlogs you made, love to see what you're up to with Mark and all of your crafting. Wish you a merry Christmas and see you before the new year's I hope. Happy crafting, Petra
I wish you and Mark a wonderful Christmas. Thank you for all the entertaining videos ❤ I so much enjoy every episode. Your new shawls will be gorgeous. I will start my Hyberknitting shawl on Boxing Day - a Christmas present to myself😊.
Merry Christmas to you and Mark! Thank you for all of your vlogmas fun and good cheer. I am taking a few minutes to knit on a baby blanket as I watch this episode. Cheers!
Merry Christmas to you and Mark. I am behind on the Toft Advent and will be starting the WestKnits Hiberknitalong as well as Kitey’s Merry Marbles crochet. Love your vlogs! All the best.
Thanks, Martyn, I have really enjoyed your Vlogmas here from Atlanta, Georgia. Merry Christmas you and Mark! You have introduced me to Anton and I ordered from him to make a hat. His aesthetic is amazing and right up my alley.
Happy Christmas Martin and Mark. I have been playing catch up on your vlogmas episodes. Your break in the Cotswolds looks like a good rest and recuperate. Perfect for this time of the year. X
I am glad you could find time to chill before the big holiday whirlwind. Very nice to see the Toft advent completed, what a lovely swan !!! I love the colors of the "holiday paradise advent, they are so gorgeous ! The natural colors of The Raw Wool Company are also great, I am looking forward to see your Exploration Station. Have a great holiday season with Mark, your families and all your loved ones. May 2025 bring health, joy, wealth and lots of time for creativity.
I've so enjoyed these episodes, Martyn! I subscribe to several knitting-related vlogs, but I find that I look forward to yours the most. Please keep doing what you're doing! Wishing you and Mark wonderful holidays and a happy, healthy, and joy-filled new year.
Happy Christmas, Martyn & Mark!! This Advent has been a downer for me, but I really appreciate your vlogs to help get me in the Christmas spirit. Hubby sings at 11 PM tonight for Lessons and Carols, I'll be at church tomorrow morning before hosting our grown kids to a ham dinner. I've passed holiday baking to my daughter & DIL, but maybe I'll make some spiced nuts today. Also old-fashioned fudge if Im ambitious!!
@knit365blog Your Advent was fine! Mine was painful and dreary, a hazard of getting as old as your mum...probably I'm older. Missing everyone that's passed, and no littles to entertain us anymore.
Thank you for taking us on your little relaxation getaway. It was so quaint!!! We have nothing like that here, so it was lovely to experience it-- again, Thank you !!!!!
Oh Martin I have thoroughly enjoyed your Vlogmas’s , yours has been up there in my favourite vlogmas…. Wishing both you and Mark a Merry and Happy Christmas x
There are 11 sections in the HKAL and sections 1-6 are in Colour A, but Section 2 pairs the Colour A with the lightest mohair for 4 rows and then the medium mohair for 4 more rows and then the darkest mohair for 4 rows and then repeat. Then section 4 (Bobbles) does the Colour A with the lightest mohair for one row -the bobble row. Then section 6 alternates between Colour A and the 3 colours of mohair for the eyelets. Not sure if mohair is held double as I’m not there yet. Section 7 & 8 are with Colour B of yarn and Section 8 uses B with mohair’s 1 then 2 and then 3 to get subtle striping. Sections 9 & 10 use yarn Colour C and section 10 adds in the 3 colours of mohair in order for subtle striping effect. Section 11 is the Chevron border and that uses mohair 1, yarn A, mohair 2, yarn B, mohair 3, which you can repeat as much as you want. Bind off is in Colour C.
I think in the story, Gretel used a chicken bone to give her brother to use instead of his finger for the witch to feel so she thought he was still too skinny to eat (because she had poor eyesight). She had been asking him every day to stretch out his finger so she could feel if he was fat enough to eat yet. That was to buy time until they could think up an escape plan. So it's not likely the witch's bone Gretel is holding in her bag.
Check out Haplander Square by Anne Hanson for your natural fibres would look fantastic in those colours Besides when have you ever seen Stephen in “quiet” colours 😂😂
I've loved following you throughout December love your advents Although I thought the Toft Advent a disappointment to be honest, too many tree decorations and and stitch markers for my taste The dolls are lovely but I don't think. It's the best year x
Hi Martyn. I think that Hansel and Gretel used to put a bone out so the witch. Love the swan. She is a splendid indeed. Loved following your advice journey and Stow in the Wold looks just a perfect village, if there is a yarn shop, of course. Merry Christmas to Mark and yourself. Hope you are on Santa's good list. xxJane 🎄🌼
I'm planning on making the anthology throw with my 24 skein tlgg advent. As soon as I finish my crochet blanket with my rainbow yarn from giddy yarns.

@knit365blog Your Advent was fine! Mine was painful and dreary, a hazard of getting as old as your mum...probably I'm older. Missing everyone that's passed, and no littles to entertain us anymore.
I would use the darkest colour for the dividing eyelet row stripes of the Exploration Station so that you have contrast.
Thank you for taking us on your little relaxation getaway. It was so quaint!!! We have nothing like that here, so it was lovely to experience it-- again, Thank you !!!!!
Merry Christmas to y’all and a happy new year. You brought my day
