I think it's a cooking pot (to stew children) not a tortoise xxx
Me too! The pointy bits with beads are flames.
@@DeborahDay-xc8jp yes! I think you’re right - I couldn’t figure them out 😅👏🏻
Didn’t she want to bake them in an oven though?
The Sugar Plum Fairy would be a great addition to the Nutcracker and Head Elf 😊 I really enjoy watching your videos! I hope you and Mark have a wonderful holiday 🎄
Can’t wait to see the children in their hats. ❤
Lovely video Martyn as always! Have a wonderful break...what a great idea to have a pre festivities break. I'm working on the Toft Advent and seem to be running a day behind. I've (as is usual for me) set myself up with quite a lot of gift knits and crochet projects! As you say they will get done, but going to be a white knuckle ride...x
Have a great few days of rest and relaxation. I think I need that right now too! I am enjoying guessing what your Toft characters are going to be. I think it's great that you can't guess what they are. More fun that way. I'm still knitting on the Go go Dynamo shawl. It's taking forever! I've got my presents wrapped. Still need to make cookies and clean the place up. That is for this weekend. If we don't see you before Christmas, Merry Christmas and I hope it's all you dream it will be. Thank you for another year of amazing video's.
I think the funny bits might be the flames under the cauldron.
I enjoy your vlogs very much.
Have fun. Merry Christmas
Have a wonderful time Martyn on your “festive break”! The “Hansel, Gretel and tortoise project looks really good! (If we could only figure out what it all is!?!) The kids hats are adorable….can’t wait to see them enjoying with the black lights! I’ve finished my 🤞🏻gift knitting (fingerless mitts and a pair of socks….black 😮) and am on to cookie baking.
I am binge watching your past vlogmas editions while I'm knitting madly to complete 5 pairs of knitted gnomes and 5 knitted boho bags for the extended family wish me luck😅😅😅
So am I…with the binge watching! Fun to watch!
Wow, that hallway is so big. love to see 1,2,3 and 4 with their hats on.🎄🎄
I have 3 cardigans on the go at the moment - one regular crochet, one Tunisian and one knitted. Thankfully none are due on the 25th!
Have a lovely getaway!
Your nieces and nephew could always come to Canada in January so that they can not feel too hot in their hats. -20C and a few feet of snow will do that.😁❄️
I am working on my 3rd Stephen West Dustland hat. I am nearly finished with it, and each of the three hats are gifts. I love the Dustland fingerless gloves and socks patterns. Can't wait to cast them on. So busy finishing up holiday knitting.
Wow, that hallway is so big.🎄🎄
I think it is going to be the Witch alongside Hansel and Gretl. It is the only character that connects to 2 children and a gingerbread house
I am working on Stephen West Slipstravaganza shawl and even though I have had to rip back the diamond pattern and redo it, I am still loving it ❤️ love your creations and videos ❤
Can the “shell” be the top of a mushroom??
The hats for the kids are adorable!
I’m slightly behind with the Toft advent due to Liffords and gift projects that needed completing, but hopefully the final gift with a deadline and advent all up to date and sorted this weekend and work is now done so should be able to keep up properly 🤞🏻
I am working on a pair of tabi socks for a friend who always wears flipflop at home. I love the way you sew your ends on that bulky yarn.
Keep on crafting! I'd love one of those hats!!!
It's so fun to watch the toft advent come together! Have a nice weekend away! 😊
Yes….yes…yes…love the idea of that short!! I can also see it, now I want that Yarn to make Tristan and Eve one of those hats!!!
I sure I can get #1 and #2 to join in, not sure how compliant #3 and #4 will be!
I’m working on my advent from the Discrete Unicorn from last year! Knitting a square a day of the Quilted Pullover by Kimberly McAlindin from the Knit a Rainbow podcast. Sparkly rainbow colours, what could be better? 🤷🏼♀️ Loving your Vlogmas. From down the road in the Forest of Dean. 👋
Love the hats, I'm sure the family will love them. So envious of your trip. I love the Cotswolds. There's a Christmas tree in the river in Bourton on the water which is lovely. I like burford too, nice sweet shop. Have a wonderful time, enjoy. Sian from Wrexham 😊🎄
I am thinking about casting on the stripeometry in with some mini skeins i bought recently in blues and greens with a navy blue main colour. loving the vids
No light in Scotland at 4pm...dark here about 3.20! Yikes.
It’s like that here in Copenhagen! Sunset today 3:39pm. (RUclips adds a time link lol) Sunrise was 08:38am lol. Yesterday I went to work in the dark (5:30am) and came home in the dark too!
I would have thought sewing in up the rib would preserve the stretch? Surely across the ribs would hinder the stretch.
i so think it's the witch's cauldron and the wings are the flames under the pot.
I love your vlogs you're one of my absolute favourites yours and Emily's are the only ones I keeping up with ❤
I'm still making teddy bears - 6 now and I'll probably continue into the new year. That's it. Hmmm, flying tortoise! Wow. We'll see but it is a challenge, eh? LOVE the stars in the windows, especially when the tree lights reflect too. Beautiful.
I’m really enjoying the mystery of the Toft advent, is there a witch if it’s Hansel and Gretel?. Enjoy your weekend away!
You have a five guys! Did not realize they were over there too! i have no patience for arigumari or however its spelled lol at all, but its fun seeing your projects
Hi Martyn, hope you had a safe drive down. I'm presuming you drove. I can't remember if Mark drives. I'm thinking he doesn't???
Still need to finish the snowman for Mum i started some fingerless mitts for me and so enjoying making them.
Is there enough yarn left to make a witch? Totally confused with the 'turtle' I know someone has said a cauldron, but wouldn't that be black?
She kept them in cages, so I'm thinking that's what you are making. Prize for the concert guess. 😂😂
Take care xxJane 🎄🌼
Trying to finish my gogo dynamo before xmas so i can cast on the hiberknitalong shawl😅
It Carnt be Hansel and greater as Kerry sed the thimble is a big part of the puzzle xxx
No Toft adventure for me, but I enjoy watching you create yours
For the shell, could it be a jellyfish?
Just starting last knitted Christmas present! DK socks so should be ok 🤞
Try Jen,S half hour hat . Making a few myself
Do you watch football/soccer? ⚽️
Sports is good to watch when knitting/crocheting. You can always watch the replay for any missed goals. I watch hockey (ice hockey which is pretty much the only kind in Canada on TV) and baseball in summer and football in fall/early winter.
I have no idea what the tortoise is going to be or why it’s part of Hansel and Gretel. And I think it’s Hansel and Gretel.
I am on Team Wire!
Embroidery thread for the very sharp needle and the thimble! Nope I guess not. What is the sharp needle for I wonder….
Jesters hat? Green, red and beads? 🤷🏼♀️
