I think that moon was a fake moon created by the dark force which intended to kill Link. Remember Demises' curse? It speaks of an incarnation of his hate, the dark force is that hate, Ganondorf, Majora's Mask, Vaati, etc. were just the host carriers. As Gandalf stated to Frodo while Frodo lay in his sick bed in Rivendell in the Lord of the Rings novel, "Only their steeds were slain", referring to the 9 Ring Wraiths.
I’m honestly not sure if you’ve ever pointed this out yet, but there’s a really cool detail in Ocarina of Time (specifically the 3DS version) that might have some rather strange implications. If you look inside Impa’s house in Kakariko Village, you can tell right off the bat that she knows quite a lot about Hyrule and it’s history (obviously as a Sheikah and her position as Zelda’s guard). On the table in the middle, you can see replicas of the old big chest and boss key chest designs from the N64 version. But that’s far from the coolest thing in there. Her place is packed with lots of artwork and notes that detail lots of items and puzzles from the game’s dungeons. There’s obviously a few Shadow Temple ones showing how the Hover Boots work and the silver rupee puzzle. As a Sheikah, she should already know about those as well as simpler puzzles like shooting an eye switch with an arrow or Royal Family secrets like the Ocarina of Time moving those blue blocks and opening the Door of Time. Add to that catching fairies in a bottle, but that’s just Adventuring 101 right there. But she strangely also knows about the hook shot and it’s function as an entrance to the Forest Temple (which could help in your “Forest Temple = Sacred Realm” theory). She also knows about the Megaton hammer, the rusted switches it hits, and the Armos statues from the Dodongo’s Cavern. Considering how close Kakariko and the Goron City are, they might have just chatted about these things, though I’m not sure. She also has a very peculiar drawing of a dragon with what I assume is Hylian text overlayed on top of it, though it’s too blurry to make out. What I find the strangest is anything regarding the Zora. More specifically, Jabu Jabu. She has a drawing of putting blue fire in a bottle from the Ice Cavern, which is odd but not impossible. But she also has drawings detailing puzzles from within the guardian deity’s belly. Like hitting one of those “uvula switches” with the boomerang or feeding a fish to open his mouth. The fish part is understandable but to know about the puzzles assuming she had all this before Ganondorf terrorized each nation for the stones (which I’m not too sure about, you be the judge) is just weird. Especially since this is all there in both the “child” and “adult” eras of the game. She also has a lot if not every dungeon location marked on her map of Hyrule on her wall. And a bunch of weapons that don’t look remotely Sheikah like. But they do look like weapons the Hyrulean army would use. Since we only see soldiers carry plain spears, this could be the early stages of the Sheikah’s plans to beef up the military with their own specially made weapons like in BOTW, or at the very least Impa herself is doing so. Lots of very uniform bows, swords, shields and daggers that look way beefier than anything the current military has aside from the Hylian Shield. If we go with the theory that the Hidden Village in TP is old OoT Kakariko abandoned for years, this could explain why the military is still pathetically lacking in weapons. and courage... Id honestly like to know if you think there’s any worth to this observation or if I’m just unnecessarily looking way too into it. Id love to expand on this and maybe make my own video! But if for any reason it intrigues you and you’d like to discuss it yourself, I’d be flattered. I can never tell when I’ve hit the jackpot with Zelda lore or if I’m just being dumb.
This is all fascinating as well because it would answer how Shiek learned all this information as well to show up where Link likely had some hoops to jump through to reach.
"We dont serve something as childish as milk." I read that as a jab towards the censorship of alcohol in the earlier titles. Theres a reason its a "milk bar" in Majoras Mask and not just a "bar"

Wow, just when I thought I already knew every detail about the Hero’s Shade, I was wrong lol Hero’s shade has gotta be at the top of my list of all time favorite Zelda lore
Yeah it's just such a neat way to give the player techniques! Plus it's a very logical thing the way he's explained. He was robbed of the glory of being a hero by retroactively changing time. So how do you earn the glory of a hero back? The old-fashioned way. Take a sword, become a soldier, ascend the ranks for being one of the greatest swordsman in history, lose an eye, somewhere in there he marries a ranch girl (I will fight to the death over at this topic!), and oh look children who had children who had a son that looks almost exactly like him. But more dark and brooding and what have you. I don't know Twilight Princess Link is quite literally straight out of the Twilight saga, I mean he's a werewolf (probably my favorite part of Twilight Princess)! What was I talking about?
Also, I like how we can see Gaepora in the bath when you crawl to Zelda's room. If only it was a side quest with Karane, where you can try to help her figure out who is stopping her from taking a bath at night.
Maybe it was intended for a side quest but didn't make it bc there where enough Gratitude Crystals to find. They didn't want to make a surplus I guess. Crossing fingers for the remake tho :D
Theory confirmed. He makes it to the moon and actually into the Goron trials where he found treasure. Proof you ask? The open treasure chests Goron link deflects off of to make way through the maze.

I love how you mentioned that little detail about Link being a woodcarver. It's so cool to see little things like this that reveal more about his character in game. Usually Link is the regular silent protagonist, and to see more of his personality without having to say a word, it's one of the reasons I love Skyward Sword. Sure, it is indeed very flawed, but the way it handled it's characters was phenomonal.
SS has the best cutscenes of all Zelda games and the most personality in Link. My hopes for BotW making it even better were very high, but well... Let's not talk about that. In TP I like Link's reaction upon entering the fishing hut. He's just so amazed by the sight of it, I'm very sure fishing is supposed to be his passion in TP.

Regarding the Hero's Shade's sword scabbard, an alternate idea could be that, rather than having kept the Master Sword's scabbard after having laid the sword to rest in the Temple of Time, it could be that the Hero of Time was killed in battle whilst wielding the Master Sword (and thus had its scabbard on him at the time), and that someone else (maybe Zelda?) put the sword back in the Temple after the Hero's death. But either way is possible.
In regards to the hero’s shade having the scabbard of the master sword, as a reminder that he was a past hero, perhaps this is why he did not become a mindless Stalfos. That tie to his previous life is what I think (if this theory pans out) made him ideal for training his own successor long after he past on.
Bomb powered flight is ironically a real world concept theorized as a use for excess nuclear weapons. Called Project Orion, the concept is basically that detonating a nuke behind a blast shield will propel a ship forward relatively well.
My favorite part about skyward sword link is how expressive he is. He smiles and frowns as well as getting really angry like when girahim took Zelda or when impa insulted him
The Bomb Rocket idea goes even deeper as it's probably a reference to the real life Orion Drive concept. It consisted of a titanic pusherplate behind the craft which would absorb the blast of a nuclear bomb detonated to provide propulsion.
4:24 Holy crap I didnt know that the bomb shop owner had a Gamecube in his shop too! Look at those controller and memory card ports, how have I not noticed that before?

the blue loftwing carving could represent Zelda & wisdom, the red one Demise & power, the unfinished one was maybe meant to be Link who has yet to prove himself & become green for courage
I feel like some of the book names in Minish cap could be a nod to Mario, what with "Mushroom Encyclopedia" and "World of Stars", which would both be fitting references to the franchise, whilst simultaneously sounding like your standard scholarly tomes to the uninitiated. On the bit about the bar owner in Gerudo town calling milk "childish", that could also be a slight tell to the implied fact that there was more to the Milk Bar "milk" in Majora's Mask, which Nintendo has been pretty quiet on confirming one way or the other.
When i was a kid and i saw the rocket and the schematics on the bomb shop i always thought that the rocket would be an important part of the game since the main danger of the story was the moon falling down. I even though that there would be a side quest where you had to make the rocket work, and that it possibly had something to do with the Gossip Stones, since those fly like rockets when you make a bomb explode near them.
The Hero's Shade, which is Link from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, is not bound to that Stalfos form forever. When he died, his spirit passed on, and only returned to train his successor. Obviously he needs a physical form to interact with his successor, so he re-animated a Stalfos with his spirit, and donned his equipment which was most likely buried with his body in the Kokiri Forest.
I would love a game about the Hero of Time as an adult, maybe something with a wolf theme to better tie OoT and MM to TP. I think that seeing something like that would be really cool, maybe getting some closure with Navi, or even more frustrating and enticing, dropping hints but never really saying
I think the milk thing is a jab at the fact in majora you had to be an adult to drink milk, shows that Hyrule didn't follow the same rule since Termina is a parallel world to Hyrule.
I really love your content! Zelda games have such a wonderful universe, filled with intrigue and mysteries. That said, every time you bring up the Hero's Shade you keep saying he's teaching his ancestor. You mean descendant. Link is his descendant. The Hero's Shade (Hero of Time) is the Hero of Twilight's ancestor. Keep making great content!

On the bit about the bar owner in Gerudo town calling milk "childish", that could also be a slight tell to the implied fact that there was more to the Milk Bar "milk" in Majora's Mask, which Nintendo has been pretty quiet on confirming one way or the other.
Damn that was legit crazy. The scabbard blew my mind. Awesome work Zeltik!
The acorn, leaf, candle, and slice of pie in minish cap look cool
Great vid, as always Zeltik!
I love all the SUPER minor details throughout all the games.
At last a video about Zelda eatser eggs that aren't very known of.
I knew 0 of all the little secrets and they're all so cute.
I'm glad my man Zeltik is a huge Minish Cap fan as well!
I'm surprised by how much of this I didn't know. Great video!
Woah! I never knew about the Hero's Shade's scabbard! That's really cool! Thanks, Zeltik!
4:16 I wonder how Wallace would want to eat the moon's face thinking it's made out of cheese.
Great to see facts and references that I actually hadn't heard before!
That center console in the bomb shop looks like the front of a GameCube! Same memory card slots and controller ports, just noticed this :o
I've come to realize that Zeltik's narrations are The Legend of Zelda ASMR now.
Yeess I was waiting for something like this! :) Thanks Zel!
2:13: those... those bed post symbols! A ZONAI SWIRL?! :P
I don't know if I said this already but zeltik is the best zelda RUclipsr by far
I think that seeing something like that would be really cool, maybe getting some closure with Navi, or even more frustrating and enticing, dropping hints but never really saying
when i heard the wallace and grommit theme, I knew you were going to make that reference
Also, small note, the blade of the sword the Hero's Shade uses resembles the Master Sword blade with no Triforce etching. I thought I'd mention it.
the mimish cap is my favorite zelda, hope for a switch remake
4:24 anyone else ever notice the rocket is plugged into a GameCube??
The Starfox reference in MM was totally new to me :O
Yay I was waiting for a new episode of zelda secrets. By far my favorite series from you
I think the milk thing is a jab at the fact in majora you had to be an adult to drink milk, shows that Hyrule didn't follow the same rule since Termina is a parallel world to Hyrule.
Love your writing, narration, and editing as always!! I do think you meant Shade lingered to teach his descendant, not ancestor? Keep it up!!
Lol, my bad! &thank you! I appreciate it!
Thanks for showing the paper airplane again from TLOZ MM 64.. Your video's are AWESOME!!!
Would you consider putting your videos into larger compilations? That'd be super cool, then I can listen to them while working.
Great easter eggs zeltik!
How tf did you watch a 10 minute video in a minute
@@thomasgoodman7306 10x speed obviously.
NEW ZELTIK VIDEO YES
Wow actually obscure Easter eggs this is why i love this channel 👑💖🔥
ZELTIK : HOWEVAAAA HOWEVAAAAAAAAAAA HOWEVAAAAAAA
