the things syncing like the times both zeldas said “link” at the same time and the obtaining of the spirit orbs were awesome
There’s a really bizarre visual poetry in links actions mimicking each other. Every time he pulls out his bow, it almost seems like we’re seeing into his memories, or getting a sense of déjà vu along side him.
Super weird, and fun challenge, but also kinda wild from a story telling standpoint~

Just as an observer, those instances where the button mapping lines up between games makes for a really cool visual; one that invokes a poetic rhyme between games.
Zelda saying link at the EXACT same time in both the beginning cutscenes was not only poetic, but also foreshadowing for the chaos to come lmao
This begs the question, where both games kind of designed to be similarly paced? I haven’t seen the whole vid yet, but the opening areas and cutscenes seem to fit each other. Like how when BotW Link is looking at the castle, TotK Link was experiencing the castle going crazy. It’s genuinely really cool
almost all of the zelda games follow the same format/pacing because they’re all the same story, told at different times/during different timelines
it’s very interesting tho that this is a direct sequel and is the closest the characters get to actually experiencing the “history will repeat itself and you will never escape the curse”

In Zelda, history clearly repeats itself. Link from Tears of the Kingdom is in perfect sync with himself from 6 years ago, a prime example of history repeating itself.

While I remember seeing part of this on stream, still so cool to see the overall thing here. Had a lot of fun watching this, seeing each Link doing roughly the same things. Did not expect but neat to see the Pokemon sponsor and chat suggestions too.
It makes me unbelievably excited when i hear big youtubers use Yo-kai Watch music. Like it is my favorite franchise of all time and the blasters theme is just running in the background!

Be it Zonai Tech or Redstone, giving the players a way to be creative and evolve is just a smart move.

Also, I would love to see a longplay of this. Beating the 4 divine beasts and 4 phenomena, getting all towers, leveling up gear, getting shrines, etc. That would be so interesting how certain puzzles would be solved. Especially the mazes at the same time.
