Also, yes! I'm not the first person to make a glitch video of Tears of the Kingdom. Been planning this one for months now, super happy to bring it to you all and proud of the twist I have on it. This is an ongoing series I already have consisting of the titles: "x is a stable game with no glitches at all" -- I've done it with breath of the wild twice in February 2020 and pokemon violet in 2022. Hope you enjoy!

@Ninon__ To be fair, they usually only patch out the stuff that really breaks the game, like the duplication glitch. In BotW, they never patched out wind-bombing or item smuggling or any of the other niche speedruning tactics that were relatively hard to pull off.

Tears of the Kingdom is a stable game with no glitches at all
Ganondorf is just chilling in his sanctuary under the castle, suddenly Link just falls through the ceiling perfectly still holding nothing. Ganondorf is shocked but prepares to fight, only for Link to one-shot him with a glitched-out spear.
chilling on your demon throne, minding your own business, suddenly a head, an arm, and 30 floating weapons fall through your ceiling
I like to imagine that the glitches are canonical. Makes the whole series a lot more, ah... 'interesting'.

I discovered a glitch today: if you hit an enemy on the frame that the blood moon cutscene activates, it deals a whole ton of damage (like the arrow on waterblight) and I was able to insta-kill a Hynox.

Sounds like the same glitch as the infinite damage glitch but with slightly different execution. The blood moon pauses the game just like picking up a new item.
PLEASE post your discovery somewhere so you get to name it something ridiculous. preferably before it becomes "moon method infinite damage"

Videos like these make me wonder if sometimes a minor, not game breaking glitch gets found during development, but the devs choose to leave it in like "Oh the internet will love that if they find it" instead of using extra resources to fix it lol. I always enjoy your game glitch videos! They're so much fun
This is actually the case with sonic frontier's homing dash cancel, now also made official by the game noting if it was used in a timed sequence. (With no penalty other than that note)
Given that they usually get patched out... Sadly I don't think that's the case with Nintendo
They kinda did that with keeping whistle sprinting in botw but then ruined it by removing and punishing you for it now in totk sadly.
I hate it when people abuse the game with glitches so hard that they blame the developers when it gets patched
It's usually a matter of development resources. "This glitch is funny, but we have another game breaking glitch that's more likely to occur. Let's focus on that for now."
For the glitch at 6:07 - A duplex bow does not work as the arrows are not next to each other, the 2nd arrow from a duplex shot removes the first one. The best results is a Lynel bow 3 or 5 shot, but only a maximum of 4 shots before moving up to collect.
It duplicates anything you can fuse to an arrow.

The max arrows in air is actually just 20. The amount of shots in your bow changes how many shots you can get before it breaks.

a duplex bow does work! I just tried it myself- the first couple tries did collide, but aiming closer to the ground helped with making both arrows freeze in place
I've got v1.1.2 using a Savage Lynel Bow - 3 shot and it is not working for me.
The best thing about these glitches is that they don’t affect your game unless you actively seek them out.
that’s probably why they patched the original duping glitch, it’s so easy that it’s something a casual game player could stumble onto

Cuz that one is definitely the most likely to be encountered by accident that I’ve seen, it’s not much more than just buying steak with an effect active. But idk for sure which glitch you’re talking about so maybe there’s one that’s even more casual

@@KevinCollins-co7zz how is it SO unlikely someone could drop something whilst paragliding or on mineru, then sort it their inventory (which a lot of people just do when they’re there anyways)? it’s not the most natural thing ever but it’s not exactly in the “stare at a rupee for 17 hours to clip through a wall” category
NGL I'm actually glad about the glitches. It gives the best of both worlds. It makes the game less daunting for newbie gamers like me, while allowing veteran gamers the option to not exploit it, & play the game like the way it's "supposed to".
I love the fact that there’s glitches easy enough even I can do but it’s really an internal battle about whether I should. Somehow it makes me feel (and presumably others) feel guilty?? Like as if it really fuckin matters to anyone whether we personally use exploits. But ya gotta draw the line somewhere or else it’ll literally get too easy it’s not even fun

@@monhi64yeah many people think the ToTK glitches are the same as a multiplayer game glitches. They are not giving you an advantage in climbing the ranks. It is just something that exists.
*correction you cannot use duplex bow at tbio's hollow chasm for duping.
The arrows are too close together so anything fused will collide and both will disappear.
Aw, that's a bummer.
This might just be me, but the duplex bow worked completely fine for me! You just have to be standing at a depth of about -162 in the chasm to give a chance for the arrows to spread out more! You should keep backing up (assuming you're facing the slope) until it starts working for you.

Does waterboarding activate the water warrior effect for Zora weapons? Because if so, that unironically has some real potential lol
It likely does, since it's shown keeping him from burning alive in the death mountain depths which means he actually has wet status so the zora boost will activate

@@rubellite4480 Maybe, but there are far more powerful ways to deal damage. Imo, the real benefit is in not having to purchase the flamebreaker set. Pretty useful if someone's doing an all-sage run.

legitimate use for the waterboard glitch right there! Combine Springdolling with Waterboard, and you can consistently ragdoll into a spring.

I really hope there are still glitches left after they’re done with this game, I fear that so many being discovered is just gonna mean they’ll be patched, which makes me sad
there will definetly be a good amount of glitches left, just like what happened with BOTW, they might not patch a lot but they might patch the more significant ones
there'll always be a few left, promise. no game is updated forever, eventually they'll shift focus to the next project and only patch major gamebreakers.
we'll have plenty of weird little glitches to play with, they'll just change a bit over time!

Nah, they only seem to patch easy to perform glitches. They want the average player (including more chaotic ones admittedly) to never run into a glitch essentially. But we know from BOTW that they won't try to patch all of them. The whole point of games is to have fun and a lot of people find these glitches fun, but they want to make sure that encountering glitches is basically a player choice lol
Yes, the devs did pretty good at fixing bugs of the big new mechanics like ultrahand but somehow many of the old mechanics got more messed up. Still gotta applaud that the glitches are interesting and don't really get in your way in normal gameplay.
in 1.1.1 a glitch was found to be able to carry the indestructible master sword (msgnotfound) from the intro to the game. adding zuggle to it allowed it to do 95 base damage if you got a +10 mod on the zuggled item on the sword. unfortunately its now patched and now you cant get it. i was lucky to get a 94 one. it should work if you did it with the inf damage glitch.

The best thing is, TOTK glitches don't make the game bad, they just make the game more fun :D
Edit: I meant TOTK glitches, some other games have _bad_ glitches. Also sucks my TOTK auto-updated to 1.1.2 💀

Oh, I'm being unfair, sometimes in Bethesda games, objects will launch into the sky.
Nothing like running on air, getting infinite damage, having items glitch out of existence, having items become un-interactable, or literally leaving your body behind.
Look, you can just be honest. 'When we like a game, we see it's flaws as quirks. When we don't, those same flaws are ammuntion.' It's not hard.
another glitch is when you're fighting the ice gleok in the hebra region at the ruins and you hide under one of the ruins while the gleok is on it's second phase then once an ice chunk pokes through the ruin you have to use ultrahand and lift it out and then you'll notice that the camera doesn't follow link anymore until you close the game

in botw and totk shield surfing before hitting the ground cancles fall damage, and in totk gliding and ungliding over and over makes you not take fall damage while still letting you fall at a normal rate

I think it’s incredibly interesting that this game is super broken but pretty much all of it is in a way that you would never find if you were playing casually
I love how half these glitches are just the game mechanics working *too* well
Fun fact: you can do zuggling in 1.1.2 (only with bows, the damage don't stack, but you can still break link and use descend when you use a steering stick) all you need to do is to save the game, then take out a shock emitter and activate it, then you take out a bow and put a shock resistant set (rubber armor) after that you get Infront of the shock emitter and you pause, then you take off a piece of the armor and you open the map, then you need to watch 2 memories, after you watched those press + and open the menu, then drop the bow, after this, you go to the map (without closing the menu) and watch 1 more memory, now you close the menu and if you did everything right you'll have a bow that just stays in your hand. To hold a bow together with the first one you need to select recall on the menu that pops up while you press L, then spam right on the pad (to open the bow menu) while you hold ZL and then you select another bow, now if you want to zuggle like 50 bows you need to select the map in the L menu and right before it opens spam right on the pad while holding ZL and then drop the bow you equipped previously, after the map opens you press + to go to the menu and then you load the save you did at the start.
To zuggle more did everything i said except for saving.

For the fuse entanglement spring glitch, it stops working when you get out of range of the spring and it despawns. However, you can increase that range significantly by attaching a dragon part to it with ultrahand.
The water hydrant on a spear thing might be really good for the mucktorok boss in the water temple

I like how much this game has been broken in less than two months
My friend said he was able to do this in a previous version (probably 1.0.0) but apperently, meat attached to items still register as meat when in the autobuild preview. So you can make yourself like frozen meat or cooked steak in hot or cold places respectively. And I think it only works with food thats been ultrahand attached not fused attatched.

If you stand a far enough distance in the Tobios hollow chasm you can dupe larger items with a 3 shot line bow instead of a 5 shot line bow

The way the Wacko Boingo / Ultrabroken glitch apparently works is that in that cutscene, they turned on the flag that moves items out of the way of the cutscene, and forgot to turn it off. So the item always tries to "move out of the way" from Link.

The food glitch works with literally any effect, not just timed effects, too. You can do hearty stuff, sundelion gloom healing, etc.

Love the video, but those who have bot completed the dragons' tears quest may be disappointed if they were to find out about the light dragons identity. Though that group may be a minority, you could put a spoiler warning, bleep it out, or take out a couple of seconds of footage in future videos. I'm not trying to dictate what you do in your videos, but I felt like someone out there watched this video and got a major plot twist spoiled. Xoxo

It’s my fault for not finishing story quest despite playing since midnight release but side quests/adventuring/or just IRL duties not giving me time to play has delayed me. Games been out for a lil while tho so it’s whatever and bound to happen. But ya as you said, a warning totally would’ve saved the spoiler hitting me fo sho

In the tobios hollow chasm dupe glitch duplex bows do not work because of the way the fire. They shout 2 arrows on the same path causing them to break when they hit eachother
