The only reason anyone keeps Sunday is because the papacy thought to change the Sabbath from the seventh day to Sunday.
If we could find any changes it would be in the gospel of John which was written around the end of the first century. Nothing there!
Sunday worship is a child of the papacy.

@MaryMartinez-lm5tv have to start in Daniel 2. Daniel gives the king the interpretation to the kings dream. Using the historical flow method of interpretation of prophecy we see that the interpretation starts with Babylon then Medes and Persian then Greece then Rome and divided Rome. Next in Daniel 7 the Bible repeats Daniel 2 using different symbols and more details. Daniel 7:23 speaks of 4th beast is the fourth kingdom. Vs. 24 says another king shall arise out of the ten. Vs.25 says he shall speak pompous words against the Most High and wear out the saints of the Most High and think to change times and laws.

I apologize if you made the point, but I didn't hear it when I watched the video. The specific day being referred to in Hebrews 4 is the day of the coming messiah. That's why it was talking about Joshua bringing them to the promised land... it has nothing to do with the Sabbath day. Canaan wasn't the real promised land; it represented the true promised land that only the Messiah will bring us to on "another day." This is also why later in Hebrews chapter 4 we see Jesus taking the actions of the Heavenly Priest, so we can rest from the ceremonial requirements (c.ref Hew 9), but are still required to listen to his voice so he can lead us to the promised land (on another day).... salvation... Hewbrew 9:28

    • @moshemyym4627
      @moshemyym4627 Месяц назад

So what is "the" day opposed to "another" day? And why does the Hebrew writer bring up the sabbath day if it has nothing to do with it?

    • @FishermensCorner
      @FishermensCorner Месяц назад +5

@moshemyym4627 I will rephrase my comment above to hopefully bring clarification. one must read chapter 3 to gain the context into chapter 4, and Hebrews 9:28 repeats it concisely. We see that Moses was trying to bring them into Canaan but the ground swallowed them up. Canaan represents the promised land, and so many people do not make it to the promised land even though they came out of egypt (like Jesus calls us to come out of the world). This is why Psalms 95 is quoted because it's talking about the continued disobedience from the people who had faith to leave but not enough Faith to make it to the promised land. Hebrews chapter 4 then references Joshua who then brings the people to the promised land but God still speaks of another day (this is the first and second coming of Christ). This has nothing to do with the Sabbath day but everything to do with salvation, to the promised land. Since we are not at the promised land (Moses brought us out of Egypt and gave us a way to cleanse pur sin) and since Jesus hasn't returned a second time to bring us to the promised land, then the Sabbath day remains "just as God rested from his works and creation so shall we." the difference being we no longer have to do daily salvational work; this is also mentioned in Hebrews chapter 4 that Jesus is the high priest doing the work (just like Aaron did). So now we can truly enter the Sabbath day as it was intended before the fall of man, having proper faith in his works and not our own.

@@FishermensCorner The "day" is not speaking of the first nor the second coming of the Messiah. That is nowhere in the text. The "day" is related to the "rest" that was promised and this "rest" was also related to the land of Canaan. The adult Israel who came out of Egypt did not enter Yahweh's rest because they were rebellious through faithlessness. We can identify this rest from Numbers and Deuteronomy as the land of Canaan.
The "day" is talking about the Sabbath and we gather this clearly from Hebrews4:3-5 vs.3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest; even as he has said, As I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest: Although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For he has said somewhere of the seventh day on this wise, And Yahweh rested on the seventh day from all his works; 5 and in this place again, They shall not enter into my rest.
The Hebrew writer clearly connects the sabbath day to the rest and identifies it where Yahweh rested from His works. This part is reiterated later in vs.10,11. The sabbath day is pointing to something greater, a greater day because entering into His rest happens every week for those who keep the sabbath. But because we know the rest isn't the sabbath alone and that it points to the land of Canaan, the rest and the day combine points to something future. Israel resting from her enemies is also included in this rest.
Lastly, from verses 6-9 it is clearly talking about the sabbath day. That is the day that remains for the people of Yahweh to keep, which is a shadow of the greater rest we will receive when enter into the kingdom of Yahweh.

@moshemyym4627 it's literally Psalms 95, Joshua was bringing them to Canaan and even though they made it to Canaan God spoke of another day. It's directly from the text.... and the end of your diatribe, you directly admit to what I just said. The first and second coming of Christ is us entering the presence of the kingdom of god, that's the first coming, and the second coming is permanently into the kingdom of Yahweh... lol dude...

Critcis say that Jesus never taught about the sabbath and therefore it does not need to be observed by Christians. Makes no sense to say that if the critics had read Matthew 12 and equivalent chapters. Such a nonsensical and disappointing argument.

*There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact.* - *And the obvious fact is…* - *There is no record of the Sabbath ever being changed in the Bible.* - *Yeshua/Jesus kept the Sabbath,* - *His disciples kept the Sabbath,* - *and even the Gentile converts kept the Sabbath.* - *Yeshua/Jesus even calls Himself “Lord of the Sabbath”* [Matt 12:8], - *indicating that He owns it.*
*Another fact is that the Bible spoke about apostasy that would come in the Church.*
“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will *ABANDON THE FAITH* and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.”-- 1 Timothy 4:1
“…and they will *TURN THEIR EARS AWAY FROM THE TRUTH,* and be turned aside to fables.” - 2 Timothy 4:3-4
“But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be *FALSE TEACHERS AMONG YOU,* who will secretly bring in destructive heresies…” - 2 Peter 2:1
“You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the *ERROR OF THE WICKED”* - 2 Peter 3:17
“…He who says, “I know Him,” and *DOES NOT KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, IS A LIAR,* and the truth is not in him.” - 1 John 2:3-4
*Constantine was the Roman Emperor from 306-337 A.D. Constantine ended Christian persecution with the Edict of Milan in 313 AD.* - *But on 7 March 321, Constantine decreed that Sunday would be observed as the Roman day of rest saying,* -
*“On the venerable day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed”* (Codex Justinianus lib. 3, tit. 12, 3; trans. in Philip Schaff, History of the Christian Church, Vol. 3, p. 380, note 1)
*So, the fact to consider is that Constantine ordered Sunday observance in the Roman Empire.*
*Now, the following facts are actually an admission of guilt in this matter.* - *The Catholic Church claims they changed the Sabbath to Sunday by their own authority at the Council of Laodicea in the fourth century.*
“Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the Church ever did, happened in the first century. *The holy day, the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday.* ‘The day of the Lord’ was chosen, not from any direction noted in the Scriptures, but from the (Catholic) Church’s sense of its own power...*People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority, should logically become 7th Day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy.”* St. Catherine Church Sentinel, Algonac, Michigan, May 21, 1995.
*In the Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, we read:*
*Q.* - *Which is the Sabbath day?*
*A.* - *Saturday is the Sabbath day.*
*Q.* - *Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?*
*A.* - *We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea, (AD 336) transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday….*
*Q.* - *Why did the Catholic Church substitute Sunday for Saturday?*
*A.* - *The Church substituted Sunday for Saturday, because Christ rose from the dead on a Sunday, and the Holy Ghost descended upon the Apostles on a Sunday.*
*Q.* - *By what authority did the Church substitute Sunday for Saturday?*
*A.* - *The Church substituted Sunday for Saturday by the plenitude of that divine power which Jesus Christ bestowed upon her!* - Rev. Peter Geiermann, C.SS.R., (1946), p. 50.
    *In Catholic Christian Instructed,*
*Q.* - *Has the [Catholic] church power to make any alterations in the commandments of God?*
*A.* - *...Instead of the seventh day, and other festivals appointed by the old law, the church has prescribed the Sundays and holy days to be set apart for God’s worship; and these we are now obliged to keep in consequence of God’s commandment, instead of the ancient Sabbath.* - The Catholic Christian Instructed in the Sacraments, Sacrifices, Ceremonies, and Observances of the Church By Way of Question and Answer, RT Rev. Dr. Challoner, p. 204.
*In An Abridgment of the Christian Doctrine,*
*Q.* - *How prove you that the church hath power to command feasts and holy days?*
*A.* - *By the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, which Protestants allow of; and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same church.*
*Q.* - *How prove you that?*
*A.* - *Because by keeping Sunday, they acknowledge the church’s power to ordain feasts, and to command them under sin; and by not keeping the rest [of the feasts] by her commanded, they again deny, in fact, the same power.* -Rev. Henry Tuberville, D.D. (R.C.), (1833), page 58.
    *In A Doctrinal Catechism,*
*Q.* - *Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept?*
*A.* - *Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her. She could not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the seventh day, *a change for which there is no Scriptural authority.”* -Rev. Stephen Keenan, (1851), p. 174.
*In the Catechism of the Council of Trent,*
*“The Church of God has thought it well to transfer the celebration and observance of the Sabbath to Sunday!”* -p 402, second revised edition (English), 1937. (First published in 1566)
    *In the Augsburg Confession,*
*”They [the Catholics] allege the Sabbath changed into Sunday, the Lord’s day, contrary to the decalogue, as it appears; neither is there any example more boasted of than the changing of the Sabbath day. Great, they say, is the power and authority of the church, since it dispensed with one of the ten commandments.”* -Art. 28.
*Rev. John O'Brien, The Faith of Millions, pp. 421, 422,* - *"But since Saturday, not Sunday, is specified in the Bible, isn't it curious that non-Catholics who profess to take their religion directly from the Bible and not from the Church observe Sunday instead of Saturday?* Yes, of course, it is inconsistent, but the change was made about fifteen centuries before Protestantism was born; *They have continued to observe custom even though it rests upon the authority of the Catholic Church, and not upon an explicit text in the Bible. That observance remains the reminder of the Mother Church from which non-Catholic sects broke away - like a boy running away from his mother but still carrying in his pocket a picture of his mother or a lock of her hair."*
*“For example, nowhere in the Bible do we find that Christ or the Apostles ordered that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday. We have the commandment of God given to Moses to keep holy the Sabbath day, that is the 7th day of the week, Saturday. Today most Christians keep Sunday because it has been revealed to us by the [Roman Catholic] church outside the Bible.”* - Catholic Virginian, October 3, 1947, p. 9, article “To Tell You the Truth.”
*Who Made Sunday Holy?* - *Who Do We Reverence by Keeping Sunday Holy?*
*“It was the Catholic church which...has transferred this rest to Sunday in remembrance of the resurrection of our Lord. Therefore the observance of Sunday by the Protestants is an homage they pay, in spite of themselves, to the authority of the (Catholic) church.”* Monsignor Louis Segur, Plain Talk About the Protestantism of Today, p. 213.
So, *"The church of Rome having been conscious of their errors and corruptions, both in faith and manners, have sundry times pretended reformations; yet their great pride and infinite profit, arising from purgatory, pardons, and such like, hath hindered all such reformations. Therefore, to maintain their greatness, errors, and new articles of faith, 1. They have corrupted many of the ancient fathers, and reprinting them, make them speak as they would have them….2. They have written many books in the names of these ancient writers, and forged many decrees, canons, and councils, to bear false witness to them."* Christianography, part ii. p. 59, London, 1636.
*"It would be an error to attribute ['the sanctification of Sunday'] to a definite decision of the Apostles. There is no such decision mentioned the Apostolic documents [that is, the New Testament]."* -Antoine Villien, A History of the Commandments of the Church, 1915, p. 23.
*"It must be confessed that there is no law in the New Testament concerning the first day."* -McClintock and Strong, Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature, Vol. 9, p. 196.
*“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”* Colossians 2:8

When we commenting on scripture that some may deem challenging to understand, it is necessary to know who was the audience and why it was written. The book was written to Jewish Christians who were been pressured to return to the local Jewish teachings. The writer was encouraging them to reaffirm their loyalty to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Hebrew 3 & 4 is all about entering God's Sabbath Rest by believing in God through faith in Jesus. This Rest is an everlasting Rest available to all who come to God through Christ. Understanding this is significant because the Jewish teaching of the day did not acknowledge Christ as the Messiah. These scriptures are NOT addressing what day of the week Christ's followers must worship but rather salvation by faith through grace, not by works, i.e. what day one goes to church etc.
The weekly Sabbath and other Special Sabbath were only a foreshadow of what the Hebrew writer is referring to in these chapters.
Hebrew 4:8-9 clearly states "For if Joshua had given them (the Israelites who made it to the promise land) rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God." This is not about which day one should or shouldn't worship.

Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Col 3:22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
    Col 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
    Col 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. Eph 6:5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
Eph 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; Act 18:2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
Act 18:3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers. Ecc 3:13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God. Ecc 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. the main point here is we have those 6 days for "our work, labor, yet we do them as we would to Christ. and this, along with time spent with Him in His word, studying, meditating, prayer, is worship.

If you guys had studied the book of Hebrews, there's no way that you would select a verse to try justifying a day of worship. In fact, that among similar arguments is exactly what the Hebrew writer was steering the struggling Hebrew Christians away from. Please, please, don't allow personal religious beliefs influence your representation of the scriptures. While they 'kinda' got the idea of the rest being referred to in Hebrews 4, they kept trying to tie it back to Saturday worship. A specific day of worship is not what this scripture is focused on, but instead, it's focused on an everlasting Rest.
The Israelites were instructed to keep the Sabbath holy within the confines of their respective households.
They were instructed to meet in assembly only on special Sabbaths, for example, on the first and last day of the passover week. Ex.12:16
There's no instructions for them to meet every Saturday.
Col.2:16-17 states very clearly that what you eat, festivals and Sabbath day were only a shadow of what was to come, the reality is in Christ.

Exodus 16:26-31 (KJV) 26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, [which is] the sabbath, in it there shall be none. 27 And it came to pass, [that] there went out [some] of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none. 28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? 29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. 30 So the people rested on the seventh day. 31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it [was] like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it [was] like wafers [made] with honey.

John 5:17 God never did stop working! but what you're doing is creating guilt ..if people don't do as you say ..which was created by your false prophet Ellen. when she claims she had a vision. she never kept the Sabbath before that! neither did the people that she came from can God never spoke to the woman in the first place.. so when you violate people's conscience by a false interpretation of the Sabbath ..it makes them guilty if they don't keep it.. an the Bible says, that which is not of faith is sin !..so you're creating people to sin and you're helping the devil.. and keeping them right there! that's why you can't interpret Romans 14 in the context that it's written.. or Hebrews 4 in the context! that it's written because when you bring that mindset to it you (can't read it in the context that it's written). that's why it says the word is sharper than a two-edged sword it divides you from the truth every verse in Hebrews for is referring to Faith in Jesus Christ and that he represents that Sabbath otherwise he'd give you another day!! *The Greek word translated "rest" in every other verse throughout Hebrews 3 and 4 is katapausis [G2663].* - *But the word translated "rest" in Hebrews 4:9 is sabbatismos [G4520].* - *This is the only NT occurrence of this word,* - *and its meaning is fundamental to understanding this pivotal verse, which is the conclusion of everything previously said about "rest" beginning in Hebrews 3:7.*
*A few Bibles including the King James have translated this word as “rest” while the Amplified, ASV, NASB, NIV, RSV and NRSV and many other translations have more correctly translated this Greek word as “Sabbath rest.”* - *The literal translation of the Greek word “sabbatismos” is “Sabbath observance.”*
*We also find that “The Scriptures” translated by the Institute for Scripture Research translate the Greek word “sabbatismos” correctly as “Sabbath observance”,* and the Basic English Bible and the highly respected Thayer dictionary use the equally literal phrase of *“Sabbath keeping.”*
*The Anchor Bible Dictionary on page 855 states regarding the meaning of sabbatismos:* - *"The words 'sabbath rest' translate the (Greek) noun sabbatismos, a unique word in the NT.* - *This term appears also in Plutarch...for sabbath observance, and in four post-canonical Christian writings...for seventh day 'sabbath celebration'”*
*The same resource continues with an explanation of the context:* - *"The author of Hebrews affirms in Heb[rews] 4:3-11, through the joining of quotations from Gen[esis] 2:2 and Ps[alm] 95:7, that the promised 'sabbath rest' still anticipates a complete realization 'for the people of God' in the … end-time which had been inaugurated with the appearance of Jesus [Hebrews] 1:1-3*
*"The experience of 'sabbath rest' points to a present 'rest' (katapausis) reality in which those 'who have believed are entering' (4:3) and it points to a future 'rest' reality (**4:11**). Physical sabbath-keeping on the part of the new covenant believer as affirmed by 'sabbath rest' epitomizes cessation from 'works' (**4:10**) in commemoration of God's rest at creation (4:4 = Gen[esis] 2:2) and manifests faith in the salvation provided by Christ.*
*"Heb[rews] 4:3-11 affirms that physical 'sabbath rest' (sabbatismos) is the weekly outward manifestation of the inner experience of spiritual rest (katapausis) in which the final . . . rest is . . . experienced already 'today' (4:7). Thus 'sabbath rest' combines in itself creation-commemoration, salvation-experience, and eschaton [end-time]-anticipation as the community of faith moves forward toward the final consummation of total restoration and rest" (pp. 855-856).*
*The Anchor Bible Dictionary decisively and correctly concludes that sabbatismos means keeping the seventh-day Sabbath.* - *Therefore, Hebrews 4:9 stresses the need to continue to keep the Sabbath in a New Covenant context, even though the day also embodies all it meant under the Old Covenant.*
*Thus, the writer to the Hebrews is saying that since the time of Joshua an observance of the Sabbath rest has been outstanding.”* - *The literal translation then of Hebrews 4:9 is,* - *“Therefore a Sabbath observance has been left behind for the people of God.”*
*The evidence of the preceding verses would also indicate that the Sabbath observance mentioned in this verse has to be the Seventh-day Sabbath and not Sunday.* - *Justin Martyr wrote his remark in A.D. 150 and today, millions of Christians erroneously think that “the Lord’s Day” is Sunday. Certainly, this is a long-held tradition, but the association of the Lord’s Day with Sunday is based on Jewish aversion rather than Scripture.* - *First, he cited the separation of darkness and light on the first day of Creation as grounds for holding a common assembly, and then he refers to the resurrection of Jesus. Martyr offered no Scriptural authority for assembling on Sunday, but his remarks indicate how he justified meeting on Sunday.*
*In verse 8, the author of Hebrews states,* - *“For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not afterward have spoken of another day.”*
*At first glance in our English translations, the word “another” might give the appearance of a different day.* - *However, in the Greek, there are two words for “another”.*
*1.)* - *“Heteros” [G2087] means “another of a different kind”,*
*2.)* - *while “allos” means “another of the same kind”.*
*The word used in Hebrews 4:8 is •“allos” [G243], indicating a Sabbath day of the same kind as referred to in Hebrews 4:5-8, that is, the seventh-day Sabbath.*
*In verse 7, the author of Hebrews uses the term* - *“certain day.”*
*The Greek word for “certain” is “tis” [G5100].* - *It is undoubtedly referencing a specific day and not the general thought of an eternal rest.* - *The written account of Hebrews 3:11-4:11 then must be saying that because Christians look toward the eternal rest of heaven,* - *the Sabbath rest literally remains for Christians to observe.* - *This is very significant in light of the greater context of the book of Hebrews which deals with the entire Aaronic priesthood,* - *and its methods of worship as found in the Old Covenant being supplanted by the Melchizedek priesthood of Jesus Christ.*
*As the author states in Hebrews 12:27,* - *“And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things which have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain.”*
*The Sabbath has existed since creation when God added the Seventh day to the week with the one and only purpose of a Sabbath rest.* - *This is the very reason we have a seven-day week today.* - *God also blessed and sanctified this day for Holy use.* - *THIS WAS DONE BEFORE SIN HAD ENTERED THE WORLD AND WAS PART OF GOD'S PERFECT PLAN.* - *Most Christians do not know that the word translated “rested” in our English Bibles in Genesis 2:3 is actually “shabbath” in the Hebrew and means Sabbath.* - *Here is the word Sabbath right at creation.*
*Besides the facts given above, there are several more ways to demonstrate that Jesus did not replace the Sabbath* - *but* - *here is just one very clear example that reveals the Sabbath was kept physically after the cross.* - *The Apostles once asked Jesus about His second coming and the destruction of the temple that occurred in the Jewish wars in 70 A.D.* [Matthew 24:2-19] - *It is in the very next verse that Jesus reveals that a literal Sabbath-keeping remained even four decades after the cross. [Matthew 24:20].*
*And what did Jesus call the Sabbath?* - *Did He call it the* - *“Abolished Sabbath day”* - *or did Christ call it what it was?* - *That is, “The Sabbath Day”* - *Note also that this conversation was in regard to both the destruction of the temple and His Second Coming and so did not apply to just one group of people as some have tried to imply* . - And *note in Matthew 12:8; Mark 2:28 and Luke 6:5 that Jesus did not say I AM the Sabbath, or I am LORD Sabbath.* - *Jesus said, “I am Lord OF the Sabbath.”*
*“The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.”* - Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

@@JamieElison: - *Jamie or JimBob whoever you are…* - *I’ve promised not to respond to you and your cronies.*
*Nonetheless here’s something for you to learn…*
*These Laws of God existed long before Moses.* - *God simply used Moses to record and codify the laws for Israel when they agreed to the covenant* [Exodus 19:8] *God is the ultimate Lawgiver [Isaiah 33:22; James 4:12]. “He [God] made known his *ways [Strongs’ H1870 moral character]* unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.” Psalms 103:7. CEV read “He taught his Law to Moses and showed all Israel what he could do.”
*We learned that years before the Law was given on Sinai,* - *God called Abram from a pagan home *[Southern Iraq]. Chaldeans were the people of Chaldea, the southern province of the ancient Mesopotamia. It's capital was Ur, which was near the modern city of Nasiriya in southern Iraq.* [Gen.12] - *His faith commenced at the initiative of God.* - *Abram, Like Paul, and true believers of every age, would acknowledge that it was God who sought him out and saved him, on the basis of grace.* [Gen 26:5; Heb 26:5].
Nehemiah 9:14 “And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:”
*There are more examples of people having knowledge of God’s Law prior to its codification on Mount Sinai.*
      *ON ANOTHER NOTE:*
*Please explain how the theory of Dispensationalism of God deals with mankind in major dispensations or periods.* - *According to Darby, we are now in the “Church Age,”* - *that is, until the Rapture.* - *After the Rapture, then the seven-year period of Daniel 9:27 will supposedly kick in and this is when the Antichrist will rise up against the Jews.* - *In fact, John Nelson Darby laid much of the foundation for the present popular removal of Daniel’s 70th week away from history and from Jesus Christ in favour of applying it to a future Tribulation after the Rapture.*
*Dispensationalism argues that the prince in verse 27 will be an end-time leader of a revived Roman Empire.* - *He will be the Antichrist and will reign during the last seven years before Christ returns.* - *The “firm covenant” is interpreted as some new pact into which that Antichrist will enter at the beginning of the last seven years.* - *But, during those seven years, he will break his covenant and destroy the sanctuary and its services.*
*Because the wording of the text of Daniel in no way suggests that the 490 years will be interrupted for an indefinite period.* - *There appears to be no valid reason, or defensible ground, for postulating a gap between the 70th week and the previous 69 weeks.*
*To postpone the last seven years to the end of the age divides the prophecy into two completely separate and unrelated prophecies;* - *one about Christ 2000 years ago,* - *and one about an end-time Antichrist.* - *THIS DESTROYS THE SIMPLE UNITY OF THE PROPHECY.*
*In fact, John Nelson Darby laid much of the foundation for the present popular removal of Daniel’s 70th week away from history and from Jesus Christ in favour of applying it to a future Tribulation after the Rapture.*
*Darby followed Maitland, Todd, Bellarmine,* - *and Ribera by incorporating the teachings of futurism into his theology.* - *This created a link between John Nelson Darby, the Father of Dispensationalism and the Jesuit Francisco Ribera, the Father of futurism.* - *Darby visited America six times between 1859-1874, preaching in all of its major cities,* - *during which time he definitely planted the seeds of futurism in American soil.* - *The child of the Jesuits was maturing.
*One of the most important figures in this whole drama is Cyrus Ingerson Scofield (1843-1921), a Kansas lawyer* - *who was greatly influenced by the writings of Darby.* - *In 1909, Scofield published the first edition of his famous Scofield Reference Bible.* - 8In the early 1900s, this Bible became so popular in American Protestant Bible Schools that it was necessary to print literally millions of copies.* - *Yet, in the much respected footnotes of this very Bible, Scofield injected large doses of the fluid of futurism also found in the writings of Darby, Todd, Maitland, Bellarmine, and Ribera.* - *Through the Scofield Bible, the Jesuit child reached young adulthood.* - *The doctrine of an Antichrist still to come was becoming firmly established inside 20th-century American Protestantism.*
*The Moody Bible Institute and the Dallas Theological Seminary have strongly supported the teachings of John Nelson Darby, and this has continued to fuel futurism’s growth.* - *Then in the 1970s, Pastor Hal Lindsey, a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, released his blockbuster book The Late Great Planet Earth.* - *This 177 page volume brought futurism to the masses of American Christianity and beyond.* - *The New York Times labelled it “The number one best-seller of the decade.”* - *Over 30 million copies have been sold, and it has been translated into over 30 languages.* - *Through The Late Great Planet Earth, the child of Jesuit futurism became a man.*
      *Futurism and Left Behind:*
*Then came Left Behind.* - *In the 1990s, Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins took the future one man Antichrist idea of Hal Lindsey, Scofield, Darby, Irving, Newman, Todd, Maitland, Bellarmine and Ribera and turned it into “The most successful Christian-fiction series ever.”*
*Elements of the current futurist- dispensationalist system of prophetic interpretation are found as far back as 2nd-3rd centuries A.D.*
I will leave it right here. *Please explain your Jesuit inherited doctrine.*
Looking forward to reading your detailed explanation.
      Thank you in advance.
