That would mean the very first day started from what we today usually call "Saturday sundown", and went to "Sunday sundown". It is a simple matter to count to find that God's holy, 7th day Sabbath, is from what we usually call "Friday sundown" to "Saturday sundown".
Your moniker is great, as Abraham was a great man of faith, who kept all the commandments, statutes, and laws: Genesis 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
Surely we can't go wrong by doing the same?

We live in contradictory times. While the governor of Louisiana has passed a law to post the ten commandments on school walls, many preachers teach that the ten commandments no longer need to be kept. The governor lied, because he said the commandments would be posted only as a historical document. Then, after the law passed, he said the commandments should be taught as a guide. So he broke the commandments by lying. And other state leaders are breaking the commandments by telling people that it is ok to steal what they need. As a result, many retail stores had to close. Not wise to turn to corrupt government leaders to enforce religion. Many government leaders don't follow the ten commandments, or understand its principles.

As I understand Isaiah 66:22-23, these verses are not saying that every new moon and sabbath that everyone comes together to worship the Lord.
Here are the verses in question (NKJV):
“And it shall come to pass that from NEW MOON to another and from one Sabbath to another all flesh shall come to worship before Me”, says the Lord.
According to Revelation 21:23-25 and 22:5 there will not be a moon and or a sun in the eternal state. Neither will there be night. As this is the case, how can the Sabbath be observed when it starts at sundown?
What these verses are saying is that from month to month and from week to week, all flesh will worship the Lord. In other words, there will be continuous worshipping of the Lord.
If the Sabbath is going to be kept every week in the new heavens and earth, then so will be the new moons. Are you keeping the new moons, or have they already been fulfilled in Christ (Col. 2:16-17)?
There are current calendars which start on Monday, making Sunday day seven. Won't that confuse the situation?

In Genesis 1 God made mankind on the sixth day in Genesis 2 in the seventh day God rested, meaning Adam and Eve rested on the first day since they were made on the sixth day and it cannot be read in Genesis 2 on the seventh day Adam and Eve rested

Was the people of the old covenant save by works or by faith?
For I know Abraham was save by faith how then after his death was the old church save by works?
I don't think any of the patriarch was able to keep the commandments of God by their strength but by the grace of God.
No human throughout history has ever been saved by works.
No one is saved by their works. Everyone is saved by grace through faith. In the Bible, God has not given two standards for people to be saved. Ephesians 2:8-10, "8. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9. not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."

The 8th day reasoning is false. There is no 8th day of the week. That reasoning stems from a twisting of Leviticus 9.
Sabbath is the 7th day, it’s the day our Lord observed, it’s the day He commanded, it’s the day He fought to uphold and free from religious fanatasism, it’s the day that He rested in the tomb and it’s the day I will gather to worship Him on for all eternity!

What Adventists and their like mean when they say, "Keep or Keeping, the commandments of God' , They REALLY mean is to return to the "the Law Engraved in the tablets of STONE!" Which the Apostle Paul says "Ministration of DEATH and Condemnation" 2 Cor. 3:7 "But if the ministration of DEATH, written and ENGRAVED in stones,.."
The Adventists believe that an angel sent them through Ellen G. White to Judaize all of Christianity and bring them under the "LETTER OF THE Law engraved and written in tablets of STONE and the ministration of DEATH AND CONDEMNATION" 2 Cor. 3:7 *"But if the ministration of DEATH, written and ENGRAVED in stones,.." 2Cor. 3:9 *"For if the ministration of condemnation .." * The SDA & Ellen G. White calls the Tablets of Stone, the "Everlasting Gospel' The SDA & Ellen G. White calls the 4th Commandments the "Seal of Salvation" All of this is nothing more than a direct attempt to put every Christian under death and the condemnation of law of Moses "written and engraved in stone" removing them from the righteousness of faith and the Grace which is in Jesus Christ. Well said the Apostle Paul by the mouth of the Holy Spirit , *I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (Gal. 2:21) Rom. 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

The Apostle Paul expressly says He is NOT a minister or preacher of the letter of the law WRITTEN and ENGRAVED IN STONE. That puts Adventism in complete conflict and rebellion with the express teaching of the Apostle Paul. The Apostle Paul condemns the Judaziers saying. Phil 3:18 *"For many walk, of whom I have TOLD YOU OFTEN, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the ENEMIES of the cross of Christ:"
Our God is of all days not only Sunday or Sabbath day. Lord Jesus told that son of man is lord of Sabbath day. So when we receive Lord Jesus we are not bound in any custom , rituals. He is our life. If possible we worship Him not only Sunday but every day.

In the New Covenant God promises to put the laws in our minds and in our hearts. So, if we are truly under the new covenant, then there is more impetus for us to keep the sabbath because God is going to write his laws in our hearts.

Yes, Sabbath is a day of rest. The Hebrew word rest simply means to cease from labor. That is what the Bible calls us to do.
The Bible also tells that the Sabbath day is a day of Holy Convocation (Leviticus 23:3).

Why every from ten commandments is mentioned in new testament but for the fourth commandment. If it were meant to become so important in the last days, playing crucial role as the only sign between saved and unsaved, was it so difficult for apostles to write clear words concerning what commandments from Tora are active and what are inactive? Jesus was speaking to the Jews, and they are very strict with regards to keeping the 7th day Sabbath holy. So He didn't mention the first 4 commandments so did Paul and the disciples..it's our duty now to tell others as it was written on Matthew 28:18-20.

From Genesis to Revelation and all over in between God said keep the commandments. We have a choice be obedient or disobedient. All who are disobedient will answer to God's judgement. God only made one day Holy and it was done at creation and Christ stated the Sabbath was made for man. You can worship every day of the week but we should still keep God's Holy Sabbath. @alicebrackett8675 salvation does not come by obedience, you are correct on that part. But any disobedience (unrepentant sin) can cause you to lose your salvation. The Bible is very clear on this aspect.
The Lord Jesus came to earth, is to fullfill the Torah. Thats why in Jesus we celebrate the Resuraction on the third day. And it is Sunday.
In Jesus we are worship God in the Spirit. We are not bound in pshysical things, wether space nor time.
Jesus fulfilled the whole law. That doesn't mean that we can do whatever is right in our own eyes.
Sunday has never been sanctified holy.
So, if Jesus fulfilled the Torah, then does that mean I can now steal, kill, lie, and worship other Gods because the Torah is fulfilled? To fulfill doesn't mean to do away with it. When you look at the Greek word, it literally means to fill completely. Jesus filled the law with meaning. That is exactly what Jesus does in the next sections.

@@HL365 HL365, several years ago the international date line was changed, and the General Conference went along with it. Whether that was the right decision or not, I have no idea, but that has caused some to say that the GC supports Sunday worship.

@@statutesofthelord In fact, the General Conference did NOT go along with the date line change in 2011, but resisted it by persuading most of our members in Samoa (not American Samoa) to count seven sunsets between Sabbaths, landing on Sunday. Their specious reasoning is that a one-off 6-day week has now made Sunday the 7th day in that country. That is ridiculous. No one counts sunsets when flying from the Americas to Asia. The Philippines had exactly such a short week in 1844, yet no one says Sunday is the 7th day there. The GC also supports Sunday keeping in Tonga, where the date line has never been moved (i.e. Tonga has never had a short or long week). Their obvious motive in moving Samoa to Sunday observance, from the beginning of 2012, was to follow the longstanding (1895) Tonga precedent. Samoa actually had one 8-day week in 1892, so this was merely a reversal of that. I could go on, but the short answer is that there is no good excuse for condoning Sunday sacredness. There never was, and never will be. Should that be a surprise?
The only surprise is that our church leaders at the highest level have basely betrayed the cause of Christ by putting policy over principle. And Mark Finley is personal advisor to the GC president who is ultimately responsible. I pray the Lord will lead His church to make the necessary reforms.

In both Tonga and Samoa, we have faithful Seventh-day Adventist Saturday Sabbath keepers who are treated by the denomination as dissidents, FOR THEIR VERY FAITHFULNESS. These are hanging on by the skin of their teeth, hoping, praying, and waiting for the church to do the right thing. Have we no fear of God?
