It seems like the Greek translation of the Old Testament is the original text to be looking at. There are a lot of differences in those writings compared to the New Testament. A lot of interesting history of that time period.

It seems like the Greek translation of the Old Testament is the original text to be looking at. There are a lot of differences in those writings compared to the New Testament. A lot of interesting history of that time period.

The Torah only contains 5 books- the Old Testament was the Septuguit. Of course Catholicism is the “sturdy religion” as the Orthodox Church broke off 1000 years later because they didn’t believe in a Pontiff and the Protestants are still protesting it.

If you are interested you can go to the Vatican website and read the documents from those exact Councils plus the English translations. King James approved the Protestant KJV Bible that was translated from Martin Luther’s German Bible where he removed 14 books from the Catholic Bible. There were no fragments available to them as the Dead Sea Scrolls were not discovered yet.
