I somehow happened across this precious lady and my heart broke to hear she is no longer with us or her dear husband. I was so blessed by her deeply real spirit and kindness. The world is a an emptier place without her. She took me back to my childhood... comfort meals and comfort manners and just simplicity in living. Blessings and condolences to all who loved her and knew her. She lives on through these amazing videos. Thank you, Phyllis... thank you....😭🙏♥️

Rest in Heaven Mrs. Phyllis and Mr. Bucky. They may be gone but their spirits live on especially through her son, Stephen. Who is continuing her cooking channel. He too is so much like his mother and is a good cook as well. God Bless them. This looks like a delicious and delightful meal. Thank you for sharing this recipe. I will make this dish sometime...
Her voice was so soothing. I have just learned of her videos. I'm sad to see she has passed. I do appreciate the fact that she lives on through her videos. My condolences to the family.

Phyllis had a very soothing voice, she and her husband Bucky both passed away this past year or so. May God Bless her son for keeping her memory alive and well. GOD BLESS PHYLLIS'S FAMILY AND FRIENDS..
That looked so delicious. I have to say I am now 78 and have a cook 1 hour at night as I unable to cook any longer. My sweetheart died 8 months ago and life can never be the same. Watching dear Phillis helps me relax and go to sleep. What a great cook she was. ❤️
Bless your heart, so sorry for your loss. I too come to listen to Miss Phyllis for comfort. She is an angel 👼. Her and Mr Bucky were such fine people. Miss them, but as least we have these vlogs, conversation, and good recipes.

I, too, would like to know other comments on a beer alternative. I was a pastor's wife for 27 years (until my husband passed away) and will not be seen with beer in my shopping cart. I am not criticizing, just saying it is not for me. I prepared the beef casserole tonight and it was exceptional! Could not afford grass-fed beef, but still delicious. Thank you, Phyllis, for these simple meals. Great for a widow.
I love cooking with beer and am always looking for new recipes. This looks and sounds delicious and easy to make for any size family. I'm going to try it out on Sunday afternoon.

Thanks Phyllis for all your fabulous recipes. You always give the best instructions and explain why you do this or that. Great hints!! Howdy to Mr. Bucky from Keithville Louisiana🐊

Hi ya Phyllis! I once asked my son what his favorite meal was, he wasn’t sure till I said mine was breakfast foods, he agreed that would be his as well. I can eat it anytime of the day. I’m going to share this recipe with him and his wife. Never having this, it will change up the types of breakfast meals! I truly love meals that were cooked back n the day, even the Great Depression meals, I wonder if this could have been one, might have been without the cheese. I came across a recipe about 8-10 years ago, don’t know from what books or ingredients, but I remember bread and grapes cooked n beer. It was quite interesting actually, had a very unique taste. Thank u

I can't wait to try this one. It looks delicious. I made the ham and cheese roll ups with the fillo pastry yesterday and they were a big hit. My husband wants them for dinner again tomorrow!
Hi Phyllis. We just did our first big grocery shop at ALDI today. Wow!! Talk about half prices from Winn Dixie(Bi-Lo). We got two weeks of groceries for four people that would normally be about 300 big ones for only 174. Unreal to us. We will let you know how we like there brands. Thanks for recommending them.
Eggs are so delicious...and makes for a quick, easy and nutritious meal...breakfast, lunch and dinner. ....from savory dishes to mouth watering desserts.....EGGS to the rescue!
That looks yummy! I make a similar dish in a skillet on the stovetop, with out the bread crumbs and cheese. I'm gonna try this! Thanks love your videos
Hello Phyllis, I am enjoying a Cooking Marathon via internet on Thanksgiving morning, while the turkey neck sinners with sage and a bit of oregano, and dry minced onion. I wish we had smellavision, the aroma is divine! (added sesame oil and soy sauce, plus a couple T chicken bouillon to get a rich turkey broth) The house smells so good, I'm telling you. Well, I just wanted to extend kudos to you and yours, for one of the most delightful and wholesome website videos on down, and forgotten recipes cooking in our beloved America. I wish you'd make a cookbook, I'd buy it in a second! My Momma was from little Gatesville and Daddy from Flat Texas. She and my award winning cook Aunt Victoria would love your ideas, and our blessed Southern charm. It warms my heart to see you and your hubby saying Mmm, mm! Good! Here's a cup of good strong coffee to you two yummer tummers this Thanksgiving Day. I adore your style, grace and Lord have Mercy good taste! Gotta check on that simmering neck bones, making about 1/2 gal Turkey Gravy. Love you Phyllis, Virginia Miller, Long Beach, Calif.
Well i was thinking about buying a bottle for my hair, but hubby doesn't like the beer taste in stuff. I guess if it is only for moisture, you could use anything. Maybe a drizzle of chicken broth? Looks good and easy. Thank you River Swept for answering. :)
Thank you but he just doesn't like me cooking with alcohol at all. I use a splash of red wine in one meat dish on occasion, and he's ok with that one. I tried the beer chicken and the beer battered fish and i couldn't taste it but he didn't care for it at all. He can't eat the more yeasty breads either, so maybe it's just something in his system. :)
YUM! I love any kind of spicy egg tomato combo, with breadcrumbs and cheese on top though?? I'm trying this! Also I just wanted to say you have the most lovely voice and accent it's so warm and relaxing and cosy. I'm Irish but you have the voice of a grandmother who has magic soup recipes and gives the biggest warm hugs! (not casting aspersions on your age btw southern american accents are just grandmotherly to me)
madge i was just thinking the same thing, as I am actually going camping tomorrow! I don't have one of those fancy camp stoves though... I will be using the fire pit to do all of my cooking. I wonder if that would still work?

We got two weeks of groceries for four people that would normally be about 300 big ones for only 174. Unreal to us. We will let you know how we like there brands. Thanks for recommending them.
Looks yummy. Will have to try this dish.
Eggs are so delicious...and makes for a quick, easy and nutritious meal...breakfast, lunch and dinner. ....from savory dishes to mouth watering desserts.....EGGS to the rescue!
I'm always hungry after watching your videos. This looks so yummy. Thank you.
This is an excellent way to use up some leftovers in the fridge. You really can add anything to an egg bake. Thanks for sharing :-)

Hello Phyllis,
I am enjoying a Cooking Marathon via internet on Thanksgiving morning, while the turkey neck sinners with sage and a bit of oregano, and dry minced onion.
I wish we had smellavision, the aroma is divine! (added sesame oil and soy sauce, plus a couple T chicken bouillon to get a rich turkey broth)
The house smells so good, I'm telling you.
Love you Phyllis,

simmers, autopilot spell error.
. . .videos in town, once again, autopilot misspelling.
Don't ever worry about the autopilot misspelling, I'm very use to it because it happens to
almost everyone.
Looks great and teats awesome .I thank you for a good recipe . All your recipes are great .
Could you use apple juice or cider instead of beer? Looks great. Thank you!
Well i was thinking about buying a bottle for my hair, but hubby doesn't like the beer taste in stuff. I guess if it is only for moisture, you could use anything. Maybe a drizzle of chicken broth? Looks good and easy. Thank you River Swept for answering. :)
julie Trader I make something similar and I use chicken stock.
Thank you!
Thank you,
(not casting aspersions on your age btw southern american accents are just grandmotherly to me)
Try "shakshuka" from countries in western Asia. You can find recipes here on RUclips.
This looks so good! Thanks for sharing this...I spend 1/2 my time trying to figure out what in the world to fix for supper!
That looks delicious.....and very good for a small meal. I shall be doing this very soon!!!!
This would be great for camping.
madge .... great idea 😀
madge i was just thinking the same thing, as I am actually going camping tomorrow! I don't have one of those fancy camp stoves though... I will be using the fire pit to do all of my cooking. I wonder if that would still work?
Ashley Bureau ... Cast iron skillet will work.
