I can't believe that every single time they have a sidebar, this mic is catching everything. How have they not figured this out yet?! Isn't this against the rules?
If you had paid attention during the first trial, you’d know that they have allowed sidebars to be heard for transparency…

They’re allowing it for full transparency. There’s a pretty reasonable fear that Alex would use that lack of transparency to cast even more doubt on the proceedings.

Admittedly, it's bizarre. There's no question about that. It really defeats the entire purpose of the sidebar, considering anyone can just look it up online.

This judge is the most drama queen, biased, fake person I have ever seen. The way she preps her self with the fake smile before the jurors get in. She cares more about the clown show she is performing in front of them then any short of justice. I'm not any sort of Alex fan and hope the best for these poor family's. I can only hope I NEVER have to face anything like this in my life. What a joke.

Soooo biased! The halls of justice are supposed to be neutral otherwise it's not true justice. This judge needs to recuse herself immediately! Who knows what other cases she's openly shared her feelings about with court staff. This is unacceptable and she should be held accountable for it. The court staff are not your colleagues, they're there to do there jobs in accordance with the law. If a judge has feelings about a case she needs to confide in another judge in confidence, in the courtroom she presides over.
Playing right into Alex's hand by displaying bias. Regardless of what anyone believes about the trial this is inappropriate at best and grounds for a mistrial at worst.

Yeah, I am also trying to figure out what exactly is happening here.
I've been replying to a few comments (positive and negative) and if I check my history they are still there.

Not a fan of this judge... I can care less if she personally doesn't like him but her demeanor and attitude is poor. What a lack of judgment making any snide comment while especially being in the courtroom with the mic still on.
They like to instruct the jury to the sun goes down about avoiding actions that could sway there verdict but it's okay for the judge to show clear disgust towards the defendant and how that's not a factor in some jurors mind is beyond me.
What if a juror said that they were going to call in sick if Alex was in the court room?
@Miranda Stephens it wouldn't matter because jurors don't have any legal obligation to be impartial once a trial has commenced. The judge does. That is literally her only job - to be entirely impartial and serve as a blind judge until the trial is complete and a verdict is reached.

There is certainly no blindfold on this judges eyes. It apparently makes her sick to think of the defendant being in court of supposed justice. Meantime, Jones can’t say certain things! This judges contempt for Jones may not be in hear shot of the jury however, it certainly gives you a vivid picture of her very inner contempt and biased mindset toward the defendant.
