But in the words of defamation, which this trial is about... if you believe what you're saying is true its not considered defamation lmao. Although this jury is definitely not going to let him win, and he shouldn't... but theoretically if Alex Jones truly believed that the Sandy Hook shooting was fake and staged, he would not be defaming anybody.

@@bradfaulkner9597 Re-read the statement. It's CLAIMING to think something is true does NOT make it true. Alex Jones already had to admit that the Sandy Hook attack was 100% true, so he admitted to lying about the hoax (LIE #1). He also got busted when he said that he didn't text about the Sandy Hook shooting, when in fact the texts that his lawyers mistakenly sent to the prosecuting attorneys showed that he in fact DID text about it. LIE #2. Lying under oath is perjury, plain and simple. You can't just use plausible deniability as an excuse for everything.

If he said something untrue, as he did, it gets brought up. He may still believe it's true, but the evidence will show the judge and jury that's it's untrue. I'm not saying that he shouldn't be reminded and reprimanded, but he may still believe what he says is true. He may be... delusional! If so, other steps need to be taken.
I don't really know trial law. I'm just saying... he could be outright lying, but if he's wrong about something that he actually believes, then telling him to tell the truth isn't going to change what the truth is to him.
