      Seems to me like the lawyer was just trying to cover the client. I bet he's well aware of the rule and told Shroyer about it but Shroyer didn't follow it so he had to take the blame by pretending to be ignorant. If he didn't do that then Shroyer can be held in contempt for knowing the rule and breaking it anyway

      True, BUT we're at a point where the case is being posted on youtube.. no one has to talk, can just go watch there. Also maybe they did or didn't talk about the case, I didn't see the episode, but maybe all they talked about was her taking away Alex's right to defend himself. Honestly, most of the case is public. They probably didn't give intimate details because there are none to give... it's all known.

      @@amilan409 I really do not get why it is so hard to understand that NONE of the witnesses is ALLOWED to watch the stream.
      NO WITNESS is ALLOWED to talk about what actually happens at trial because that would highten the risk that ANOTHER witness could be influenced by it.
      If you are saying: "Whatevs, they can do it anyway."
      Yes, they could. And if found out, that would have consequences.
      If Shroyer would have said what you suggest (Alex' right to defend himself being taken away) he also would have been LYING - once more.

      OTOH, you can't claim that it was a "Kangaroo Court" because all the proceedings were televised. You may disagree with the way that the proceedings were carried out, but that is because you are not a lawyer and most people think that they know about court proceedings because they've seen an episode or two of "Law & Order" or some other such tripe.
      I'd also point out that the US justice system is so very strange because US law makers, especially those on the extreme right, have made it that way, after all, the SCOTUS has had a Republican majority since 1972 or so.
      But I'm always ready to listen to someone trying to claim injustice in court cases, it usually involves a lot of mirth for me.
      But please, go ahead.

    Not supposed to discuss anything happening in the courtroom during the trial yet the courts are allowing the trial to be aired on places such as yt as the trial is going on. That's hypocritical AF right there above all.

      The difference is the court is airing the case for the public to view. Alex Jones and his team are openly discussing the case and attempting to draw doubt on the proceedings on their tv show as a means to litigate the issue outside of the supervision of the court. It’s two completely different things.

      And FYI, "dis/misinformation" is false, (but preferred by establishment), information, or else you would use the words "false information".
      What we are seeing today is a court system that has problems holding up to public scrutiny. There is no such thing as the right to fully understand the charges against you anymore, so court "recorded/shown" means very little with out explanation to the public. Do we get justice or tyranny from that?

      @@vladchiriac2101 The lawyer representing Jones requested the court instigate the rule, Jones broke that rule & the judge showed leniency by not immediately finding the 2 in contempt of court, which comes with an automatic detention sentence. She gave them a really clear "don't screw up again".
      Despite their repeated attempts to cause a mistrial they are being treated more than fairly & it's happening in everybody's faces.

      Witness are not suppose to discuss the trial! They aren’t even allowed to sit in the courtroom while others testify, they only can after they testify & are dismissed!

    I’m not a lawyer, but tell me if I have this correct. The judge just told a witness, who hasn’t been charged and who is not on trial, the he is not allowed to discuss any details of this case in any capacity, but; especially on an infowars show, and if he does, he could be held in contempt of court? Is this legitimate? What exactly is going on here?

      worse case scenario as the judge stated is that she has to instruct the jury to disregard the defense testimony and only use the plaintiff's. which only makes it more likely that the damages will be greater for Alex Jones
