This trial does nothing for convincing people that it did happen.
@@moreplease998 they are claiming that people beliving it is fake is somehow an objective harm to them that makes them deserve money, and then go out of their way to create way more people that think it was fake and that they are just government puppets by trying to create chilling effects on free speech after creating chilling effects on gun ownership, and doimg a poor acting job on the stand pretending that Alex Jones has injured them and made them cry to the tune of millions.

@@Flichter turns out, that's not actually true. Unless someone actually pays/requests that the testimony be reduced to a transcript, the court reporter can destroy it after a certain number of years.
We were working on an old case and learned that the court reporter's notes were all destroyed some years back because the law permits destruction after a certain amount of time.

yeah, you would think there would be at least one photo of a body times 27 being carried out and down to the firehouse a mile away from the school. After all, that is where they had the ambulances waiting to do nothing for the whole time that day.

They only had 1 camera which was outside of the lobby door. It was non-recording and gave only a live feed for office staff. They'd be able to use the speaker system to communicate and then buzz the person in.
Yes, look up the Connecticut State Police Sandy Hook Report. View the 22 assorted file. Most of the interior photos with bullet holes can be found in walkley scene photos and tranquillo back up photos 1 and 2.
No, photos of the victims were redacted, as they always are in every state. But, if you view the processing footage from the exterior and pause it just right, you can see the body of Vicki Soto lying near the classroom windows.
(note: there is documentation of the camera system in the CSP report. Can be found in the CFS ending in 559).

Careful, they are deleting comments that criticize the witness. But I have to agree with you. She didn't come across as genuine to me either. If her intent was to portray a grieving parent out for justice, then she failed pretty hard. No wonder the prosecution didn't want a jury if that's their star witness.

You believe what you believe from the beginning and i find a little weird the comment"if ive lost my child", it is so theoretical that the reality is that you don't know how you would be. It is impossible to even guess how you would react, let alone judge someone for their reactions so many years later. I can see myself freaking out for years over the loss and for years after someone berates me and my dead child and i think that at some point i wouldve became emotionally numb and that i would be filled with anger and disgust for the person who is in front of me.

I live 10 minutes from Sandy Hook, on that day the sheer amount of every kind of police and rescue vehicles screaming past my house responding to the shooting terrified me at the thought of what had happened, sadly the worst had happened.

I agree. They did that in the Nicholaus Cruz trial. Bring the Coroner on as a witness. I really don't think the parents are actors in any sense and what happened to their child was horrific. Still the Burden of Truth is on the prosecution.

This is sentencing procedure is different than trial.
This is NOT a criminal case. It is a civic case. Jones lost the lawsuit on default (due to not complying with procedure and discovery). These hearings are to determine the damages.

Yeah I've never even heard of a trial where the Judge lets the witness lecture the defendant. That alone is grounds for appeal if you ask me. Ridiculous.

His lawyers wouldn't let him as it would make things worse for him. This is the penalty hearing to determine the amount of the damages he will need to pay to his victims, anything he said would just increase the amount he owed to them.

Actually, he was violating the judge's orders to not discuss anything about the trial on his program. He did it anyway because he thought like every egomaniac that he shouldn't be held by the same standards as regular people he is above them. He described the Jury as "Blue Collar" people that do not understand reality that they don't even know what planet they are on. This is the guy who believes he is living in the matrix.
He now has to pay them 4 million hopefully the jury will award them the full 150 in the next phase.

Plus, the jury may not be paying attention if they are too busy looking where the camera is pointing. I've seen other courtrooms with remote cameras, and they are much less noticeable.
