      I agree they were boring, nevertheless very eye opening. Judge tells them AJ was found guilty of defamation, and proceeds to specifically describe *how* he defamed them without ever mentioning trial was a DEFAULT judgment. Travesty of Justice.

      I agree, this case especially. However, Alex has already stated his conspiracy crazed lies concerning the Judge, Juror's and this case.     "In a civil lawsuit, a defendant who does not respond to the suit papers in a timely manner is considered “in default.” When the plaintiff makes the required showing of default and offers proof to the court of the amount of money owed, the court will issue a default judgment in the plaintiff's favor." Alex brought this on himself by not respecting the authority of the courts. Its not the law only for thee and not for me. Its for everyone.

You hint at corruption, not realizing that corruption time and time again tends to favor rich and well-known people like Mr. Jones, probably the exact opposite of what you wanted to imply.
      To quote a popular phrase of unknown origin:
      "When you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression."
      Alex Jones is currently being treated the exact same way any average Joe would be treated in a court of law for the exact same behavior. But peoples' biases blind them to that fact, as well as to the concept of empathy for the families of the victims of Sandy Hook.

    For everyone saying he didn't get due process and that this isn't legal for the judge to have found him liable without a jury trial, this is a civil case, in which the plaintiffs sued him and he refused to go to court, he refused to answer summons, and he refused to hand over discovery, therefore on the final day when he didn't show up again, he was found liable by default.
    When I divorced my ex, I was so scared that he was going to fight me about custody but he didn't show up. So I got everything I asked for by default. That's how it works. It's on him, no one else, he's not some kind of martyr, he's a guy who would not participate in the legal action taken against him because he's a narcissist who doesn't believe he did anything wrong with these lies even though HE KNOWS these are lies!
    I really wish some of y'all would do some research before you comment. If you did that you would know what happened and how he was found liable.

      Money talks and BS walks in the Attorney game. 150 million dollars...anywhere from 10 to 25 percent of that goes in the lawyers' pockets. That was most likely a government sanctioned law firm...a very clever one at that. The "evidence" they mounted against A.J. would have taken a private law firm years to mount.

    "Extreme and outrageous" would be sugar coating what AJ did. I am sure the jury noticed and will award the plaintiffs handsomely. There is almost no price you can put on the pain and suffering and other damages he put the grieving families through but the jury has to by law choose an amount, and it will be huge..

      @@jph77 I think when there is a monetary judgment against someone who generates millions per year, they should be given a portion of their earnings to live on and every other penny goes to paying the person with interest until paid in full. They should also have their finances monitored until the judgment is paid in full to be sure they aren't diverting funds or underreporting their actual earnings to avoid paying. He should not be able to go on with a lavish lifestyle while his debt goes unpaid.

    The prosecutors in this case are incredibly strong. I wonder if AJ would be able to say he had ineffective counsel because his attorneys did so many things wrong in this case (i.e. giving the prosecution AJ's phone contents and just not strong in his defense). I do not know what the outcome will be but personally I think he needs to be held accountable for what he said about those children.
