      damn man, cant go wrong. I actually use all viltrox lenses with the exception of my wide for vlogging. I have the 23, 33 and 56. Af is on par with Fujinon so are the images. For the price you honestly cant go wrong.

      @@AceNoguera I know there’s no such thing as the perfect camera, but I’ve just been looking at these models due to the fact that they’re some of the best within reason and price.. like sure everyone would love an a1 or r5 or red or an arri but it’s like this day and age it seems like everyone wants something that’s completely unnecessary lol. I’ve enjoyed your vids so far and I went ahead and subscribed too! Maybe I’ll have an ex-4 myself soon lol

      @@murphymartin602 I appreciate the support man! And i feel you on people always wanting more. I shot commercially on Canon full frame for years. Before i wanted to try something different. Honestly my clients dont even know the difference between an R5 and any of my Fuji cameras. Fuji has been way more fun than any canon ive used, if im being honest. Thats why 54 years later im still using them haha.

    I am a headshot and portrait photographer, in a small studio with strobes and I also do a lot of headshot shoots with natural light. I have an XT3 and most recently, a X100V, and I’ve fallen seriously in love with the rangefinder style of the X100 series. So much so, that I’m considering selling the XT3 to get the XPRO3. But I’m also considering just keeping the XT3 and getting an XE4. Would you trust the XE4 for pro portraits? This video shows it’s certainly capable in the right hands!
    I’d love your thoughts on that. I actually like the idea of the “hidden” LCD, and I love the connection with my subject when I look through a rangefinder style camera. It’s intimate and I can feel the camera get out of the way. It feels good to have an eye on my subject.
    I just feel a deep connection to rangefinder style. I trained on film, shooting since I was 13, and something about the analog feel of the XPRO is calling to me, but unsure how it would be for professional headshots and portraits, and as a studio camera. Although I see no reason why it wouldn’t be.
    Would you feel confident to have the XPRO as a main portrait and even a studio camera? Could it replace my XT3?
    I also occasionally shoot family portraits and small events, occasionally a wedding. My work is all about people and the human connection to clients.
    Thanks for any thoughts! I trust your expertise.

    • @AceNoguera
      @AceNoguera  Год назад

      I know what you mean by the deep connection! Shooting with a rangefinder makes the experience much more intimate.
      I think the XE4 is very capable but one of the biggest differences between that and the xpro3 if i remember correctly is the EVF. On the XE4 its pretty dang small and not as high resolution or fast as the xpro 3. The eye piece also is basically useless. But overall both really great cameras that id have no problem shooting professional portrait sessions on!

    • @AceNoguera
      @AceNoguera  3 года назад +5

      My settings actually changed throughout the shoot so hard to give you exacy settings. For the majority my F stop was 1.4 though.
      I did edit them with my own preset in LR to give that color grade :)

    Beautiful shots, I wonder which is more easier to use for portraits , XE4 or XT30 ? Also which prime lens I should go first , Viltrox 23 or 33mm ?

    • @AceNoguera
      @AceNoguera  3 года назад +1

      the xe4 is very very minimal, the xt30 may be easier since there are more buttons to customize and use on a regular basis. I got the 23mm first but thats because i love to shoot a little wider. This is where i bought mine from amzn.to/3dzANJR

    • @fredbloggs545
      @fredbloggs545 3 года назад +3

      For portraits either camera will be fine, choose the body you like.
      The lens? Well that depends on what you call a "portrait". What lighting are shooting in? What is the distance from the subject? What Depth of Field are you wanting? What quality of bokeh do you want? Is it head and shoulders? Half body length? Full body length? If these things don't matter then you may find that you don't need a prime at all, if you don't know what I am talking about, then don't buy anything until you do! :D
      On APS-C I could never get on with 23mm for shooting portrait, I find 35mm is a good allrounder with 50mm (actually it's a 56mm) for getting that tighter crop but keeping a little more distance than 35mm allows. There is no right or wrong due to the varied scenarios but consider the questions first, once you have answered those then lens choice will become obvious as you will be making an informed choice.

    F-stop and which focal length and focusmode? I find that when I have face detect on it sometimes gets distracted by the main focuspoint . How do you focus quick?

    • @AceNoguera

      this was all done on the viltrox 23mm 1.4 and all shot at f1.4. The focus mode i believe was on single shot. Thats my typical set up.

    I’m thinking of getting this camera to replace my x100f... You may not be able to answer this but.... I carry my x100f in a Moment Fanny pack for the most part. I’m sure it will fit just fine with the pancake lens... Do you think it will fit with the 35mmf2?

    • @AceNoguera
      @AceNoguera  3 года назад +1

      Hey Tiffany, it should fit. Just may be a snug fit with other things in the bag. The f2 wont add that much size to it.

    Hello I don't have any idea about cameras.But recently passionate with photography not professionally.Should I going to buy Fujifilm Xe-4 with 18-55mm f2.8-4 lens? Can I will get this type of portraits with that lens as you shown? Please Reply

    • @AceNoguera
      @AceNoguera  Год назад

      Youll be able to get a similar image but it wont be exactly the same as the aperture is a bit different. In this video i was using a lens that stops down to 1.4 which is great for portraits and gives you more of a background blur than 2.8 will. But you could get similar photos.
