Time to learn all about ticket disclosures! Buying tickets is tough enough as it is, but you also need to pay attention to any time there are disclosures on tickets to make sure you know exactly what you're buying!
Ticket disclosures can range from small things such as a side stage or no-view seating, or it can be something like an ADA seating ticket type. Additionally, there are certain delivery methods that may require a disclosure such as will-call ticket delivery. Time to add a new disclosure type though, vaccinated seating sections and proof of vaccinations!
These new disclosures are being made since events are creating split zones - some seating sections remaining as social distanced, while others are moving towards vaccinated fan zones whereby seats are all next to each other and you require proof of full vaccination prior to entry into the venue.
Depending where you are purchasing your tickets, you may see these disclosures in more than one place. Again, many venues and teams will still require you to complete a questionnaire or screening prior to entry into the event, but only vaccination fan zones will require you to show proof of full vaccination prior to entry.
Ticketmaster breaks it down in a few different ways, such as searching directly for vaccination fan zone sections by entering a specific promo code, or simply just selling events as vaccination and non-vaccination type events. It requires you to be extra careful when you are going ahead and purchasing tickets to make sure you buy exactly what you're looking for.
On resale ticket marketplaces such as Stubhub and Vivid Seats, they will display it a bit differently depending on the venue/event. Sometimes it will be a simple little flag on the seat listing showing that there is a restriction or disclosure, but it is up to you to take a look at the description after selecting the seat itself. Other times, if an entire section is a vaccination fan section then the actual section listing will disclose it right then and there.
Make sure you take the time to determine where you'd like to sit, and what type of tickets you'd like to purchase as well. Don't rush through the process before purchasing your tickets.
Lastly, if you purchase tickets that do not have a vaccination proof requirement disclosure but the ticket itself states that they are in fan vaccination sections, contact the ticket exchange immediately. You do not want to end up in a situation where you're purchasing tickets expecting one situation and end up in another.
