    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  3 месяца назад

      @troncoparati Thank you. I had the opportunity to ride a 2024 Road Glide. Overall, it was very impressive. The 117 seems quicker than the 117 I have on my CVO and ST. I think the ride modes make a big difference. I rode it in sport mode and throttle response is immediate. I did sit on the CVO ST...the stance is different than the standard and the floor boards are not good in my opinion. They are very small and they have a lot of play in them. The standards bars are much improved over my 2021 RG, however, the bushing in the triple tree is very soft...as such the bars move a bit when you push forward or pull back on them. More to come as I have the opportunity to get more seat time on the 2024s. 👊✌️👍

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  3 месяца назад

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I assume you have chopped engine guards? If so, it is difficult to have bar mounted highway pegs with the drop guards. If you like highway pegs and want to add drop guards, frame mounted highway pegs from under the floorboards work best. If you have the full size engine guard, no problem mounting the drop guards and highway pegs. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. i drop my bike often, obviously not at speed, but at low speed practice. if you dont drop your bike, you will never learn how to ride with a high level of skills. i ended up putting plates under my bags to act as a hard skid surface. no point in dumping money into a super custom build that you know will be dropped... same reason i left my wifes classic camaro in primer and just vynil wrap it, no reason to put a $15k paint job on a car she will drive daily, 1 rock chip and 15k is a complete waste. 1 door ding, 1 bug at 70mph.... just wrap it, more durable, a fraction of the cost and easily changed color.

      I used collars at 1 point but they damaged my bike. The collars dont fit the bars correctly and do not have rubber gaskets to protect the chrome. We had to cut the rear ones off which ended up burning the chrome bars. I would not recommend using those if you train a lot but even if you dont they look cheap on the bike as opposed to the drop guards which look factory.

      Hi Mr. Potty pants, let's see you cop your same dirty diaper attitude when some got your bike out on a ride, &, they dropped it or the bike got plowed into by a reckless driver trashing your saddle-bags and forks! You won't be complaining about the $400 cost of those drop guards-actually you will because you didn't have them on your bike when it got plowed. Don't even bother to mouth off at me for this text, you won't get the satisfaction of any kind.

To each his own BUT dont forget your kneepads to match your skateboard look. SMDH! Plus the drop guards can be repaired for those of us who actually develop amd maintain our skills. @HDVIBE  3 месяца назад

      Thanks for watching and commenting. The drop guards are designed to protect the primary and guards from getting damaged in the case of a drop. The drop guards are much thicker than the crash guards so they will not wear through and when you take them off you will have no scratches or marring on the crash guards. It's another level of protection...especially for the primary housing. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you.
