    These drop guards work fantastic. 2019 FLHTK and was practicing 18 ft U-turns & circles in the parking lot and dropped it on clutch and brake sides. they took the entire beating with no damage to the bike; even the highway pegs were spared.

    I just got off the phone with Jay who turns out to be an outstanding guy! I have been wanting these drop guards for 2 years but couldn’t find the “stones” to make an order from Canada using “MyUS”. I pulled the trigger this week after watching his RUclips channel for the hundredth time. Today, I decided to give his number a call to see if I’d thrown my money away and was blown away by the hour long conversation with Jay himself. Jay is a stand up guy who is passionate about what he has created with the Drop Guards. After speaking to Jay…Im 110% confident that I will soon be installing these guards on my Indian Challenger before the snow melts here in Canada! If you’re in Canada and wanting these on your HD or Indian…don’t hesitate!!! The delivery may take a little longer ordering these from Texas through “MyUS” but its a guarantee that the Drop Guards will arrive soon enough!!! Thanks again Jay…I should have called you TWO YEARS AGO!!!

    Just received mine yesterday. Can't wait to install them on my Road King. Taking them out of the box I could not believe how thick they are. And heavy. Which is a good thing because you don't want some thin cheap piece of metal protecting your expensive scoot that would grind away too easily while practicing your dips and turns. A reasonable price also for a little extra confidence and piece of mind in case your bike tips over in a Macy's parking lot. Never would have known about these if not for watching The Motorman YT videos.

    I bought a set of drop guards for my 2020 Road Glide (my first heavy cruising bike). They arrived promptly and packaged very well. They are super high quality. They are powder coated and installation is a snap. Until now, out of fear of dropping the bike, I have been hesitant to fully commit to leaning the bike during slow speed tight turns. However, this product gives me all the confidence in the world that if I do make a mistake and drop the bike, there will be no damage. It vastly speeds up my learning process. If, like me, you are new to riding a cruiser and want to learn how to confidently make slow, tight, turns, these drop guards are a must have.

    I received my drop guards today. Super easy to install. Heavy duty pieces of equipment to protect your investment but not bulky on your bike. They look great. Thank You Jay.

    I got mine today. They are certainly a heavy duty quality piece of protective gear. And since I didn't need my wife to help or hold anything as I put them on the bike, the install was a breeze.

    Spoke to you about a half hour ago on the phone. Thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions and share your insights. I very much appreciate it! I’ll be looking to place an order before I close the deal on a new Road Glide Limited. Might even pick up a second set for practice!

    Thanks for the great installation video. I installed mine before watching this and I was unsure what the barrel screws were for. I used the screw and nut configuration as shipped - but like the low profile of the barrel screws better. Might be a good idea to include some instructions in the packaging. I do have to say - these guards are super beefy - very good design!! Thanks for a great product.

    Appreciate the instructions but you need to consider the proper way to tighten up a nut on a bolt... It is fine to get the nut initially onto the nut using the Allan wrench into the bolt head, but you always tighten the Nut onto the Bolt with a wrench. Never tighten the bolt head, use a wrench on the Nut. Just thought I would mention this, I learned this from a Aircraft mechanic. These guys are serious about proper techniques. You will look better if you use this method. Nice guards, let’s hope they are never needed!

      I like the drop guards my only complaint would be no torque specs with instructions, all the after market parts makers do this why oh just tighten it, I am a auto tech with every digital torque wrench Snap On make, and what Peter said, it is to easy to provide this info every persons bolt's are a different torque now or somebody broke a bolt.

    Great idea, I am looking for the Goldwing. I didn't understand, the nut is metric and the bolt is standard? how is that possible?

    Great video - very helpful! Question...do the two bolts in the primary guard need to be torqued, or just tightened with Allen wrench? Thanks!

      @motorofficertraining  11 дней назад +1

      I have always just hand tightened them. Always check your bolts all over the bike as things can rattle loose on a Harley.

    Will the drop guards add as an aid to picking up your bike when you have a tip over?

    • @motorofficertraining
      @motorofficertraining  3 года назад +1

      Karen, they works as an excellent way to protect your Harley anytime and anywhere with a custom appearance piece. Unfortunately when the bike drops ya gotta still use that old fashioned muscle but its not hard once u know how.
