    Thanks for the great video. You have a new subscriber. I turn 62 next month and going to buy a new Harley. My last bike was a Street Glide which I sold 15 years ago have NOT been on a bike since I sold it. My question to you is due to my older age and less strong body, I fell in love when I saw videos of the Low Rider ST as it weighs 100 lbs less than SG and still looks like it would be decent for 4 hour cruises in the Texas Hill Country where I live in Austin TX. I would also use bike to cruise around city of Austin. Thing is is still love the bigger baggers but just thinking as we age the lighter bike makes more sense. And thoughts would be greatly appreciated. And really loved this video. Maybe my new favorite Harley channel. Going to check out your other videos now. And thanks in advance for your thoughts on the bike you would recommend. Safe travels my friend.🙏

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  Месяц назад

      Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing to the channel. The Low Rider ST is definitely a great bike and can be used for long distances as well. The one thing that is very different on the Low Rider ST vs the touring bikes is the footboard. The Low Rider ST has mid controls which puts your knees up a bit higher than the forward controls on the touring bikes. I think you can relocate the pegs to forward controls. Overall, if you can master control of any bike at slow speed, weight really doesn't come into play. And at speed, weight is really not am issue at all. If you still have your motorcycle endorsement, I'd suggest test riding both and see which is best for you. Another suggest since you haven't ridden for 15 years, is to take a class such as the BRC to get back into the swing of riding. Again, thanks for your support and welcome back to riding. ✌️👊👍

      @@HDVIBE Awesome. Thanks for the reply. And yes, I am going take every motorcycle riding course available from beginner to advanced before doing any serious riding. Do you know any older people in their late 60s or 70s still riding baggers? I am also joining a gym again to get my strength back and start working out everyday as I know that will not just benefit my health but give me more confidence riding a bike. Thanks again for the great content.

      @jhonnydumeny9816 I rode a Pan Am with the adaptive ride height and that helped. I'm not a real tall guy at 5'10, but, with that option, it didn't seem too terribly high. The prices on them are getting to be very reasonable in the used market. Who knows, I may pick one up if I see a great deal.

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching and commenting. The Friction Zone is the area in the clutch just as it puts power to the wheel but not let out completely. It's literally millimeters of movement on the clutch as I'm doing the u turns or any of the slow speed maneuvers. I never pull the clutch all the way in nor let it all the way out. I hope that helps.
