The Elden Ring DLC gave us many new items and weapons. Of course one of these new items were non-consumable versions of perfumes. These perfumes ended up being the most powerful overpowered weapon to ever exist in Elden Ring history. Unfortunately it got nerfed in the last update but this thing was insane.

Yeah people were forgetting to run the frenzy flame perfume bottle and would try the builds. If you put rolling sparks on frenzyflame bottle it’s a fire ash of war.

I can't say I'm a fan of fromsoft stance of nerfing everything that is remotely fun, while simultaneously introducing both the hardest bosses and shittiest weapons and spells. We can't have fun fighting the bosses because they are crazy overtuned, we can't have fun using the new toys because they are crazy undertuned, and if there's a single weapon/spell that is good it gets slapped to the ground on the next patch.
AC6 wasn't this bad with the balancing, and that one has a dedicated leaderboard with cosmetic rewards.
If they pull this same shit again with their next game I'm getting it for free from unreputable sites.

There are a ton of fun and powerful weapons to use. You are making a bigger deal out of this than it really is. Also the bosses are fine, final boss included.

@@Ghorda9honestly, without the busted AoW, they're still surprisingly capable weapons. They're pure elemental AoE weapons that can obscure a huge area and deal moderate poise/stance damage. So... Yeah. Not busted, but they're fun to use on either softswap or offhand.

I never used it now I will never be able to feel the power and this really sucks they should not have patched it and let it be there for fun they did this weapon dirty just like rivers of blood
@@AkshaySingh-zr3ki people have to understand that there has to some balance, even if it's not ideal. Had they not patched it, everything else in the game would be practically useless.
@@multifleks even with the weapon non patched there are stronger builds in the dlc ( though they require more setup ) thing is they only nerfed it cause it wasnt intended to work like that + pvp like everything else in the game, nerfed due to pvp and pve suffers
@@multifleks people who wanna fight the bosses fairly never use it only cowards use it but it should be there so we can relax sometimes in the game

I may be crazy, but I believe the lore for that diary page is a very subtle hint at how to kill those invincible madness monsters that roam in the woods, as they can only be damaged if you manage to parry them
It's good to see nutboy breaking the game in a funny way instead of putting himself in pain and agony like in the last streams
Unfortunately they've been patched, but they were so unbelievably OP that they could shred the huge, tanky furnace golems without ever needing to knock them down or take the critical. Absolutely cracked

@@ed61730 they only nerfed AoW, and perfumes as weapons are still fine to use. It's really depressing to see people collectively shitting on this weapon class only because it can't oneshot bosses anymore.

@@GM-xk1nwthe only bug was the accidental double damage glitch. Realistically you can pile all that together to make a bigger, more focused explosion if you center the cast in one spot. They removed the actual bug along with a feature that made sense because people whined loud enough to be heard over the quiet majority.
@@GM-xk1nwall I’m saying is Cloud Stacking with, at maximum, 6-7k damage per cast in the shadow realm (at max scadu fragment level) isn’t too much to ask for especially when people are spamming the new thorn sorcery to get 50k damage in 3 casts (scadu fragment level 12~)
@@GM-xk1nwthey changed how the ash of war interacts with the environment too. Instead of stacking on the ground it only explodes once now. It’s just not a good weapon anymore
The crazy bit is that this is still less powerful than the Impenetrable Thorns and ADLS builds.
ADLS only works on gigantic bosses
and somehow impenetrable thorns wasn’t touched in their emergency patch

ADLS isn't stronger. not even close. you can go watch titus actual's one shot challenge in the dlc and you will see the difference.

Flame grant me strength is useless for lightning purfume bottle flame grant boost physical and fire and lightning perfume does lightning damage

After finishing the 1st playthrough in dlc, i tried that perfume build in the starting week of dlc before perfume patched though, and that was fucking awesome i cheese every bosses in 1-2 hits also finished the game under 1 day

they nerfed bloodfiend arm's poise damage and it sucks. i used to poise break maliketh in one hit with that weapon. actually insane poise damage.

Twas not nerfed it was fixed lol. The hitboxes on the rolling sparks didn’t turn off after it hit an opponent and continues moving forward. Same thing as the bleed dogs lol
