Great Video, Thanks!! I've got an 08 cummins with no boost and from inspecting on compressor side and from the turbine it looks like the wheel is fine and spins smooth. My guess is actuator is not working... time for that bench test.
I had three 99-2002 F350 Powerstrokes. The last one had 388k on it when I sold it. Zero turbo, egr, tranny, or engine problems, other than basic maintenance things like injectors. My 2013 Ram 3500 that I bought in 2020 with 58k on it has been a breakdown nightmare. $6k on emissions sys so far, now either my actuator or turbo is bad, with 111k on the truck. Gonna fix this pos, sell it, and go back to Powerstroke.
The link to the actuator gaskets? Can you do a video on all the different setups you have available for the he351cw. What spools fastest and pro and con on each one 62,63and 67mm etc.
The start of this video showing the actuator moving. Is that the workings of a good actuator because mine makes the same noise and works the same. When I pulled it off the turbo lever was to the right. I drew a line on the actuator gear and the case, turned the key on and cycled the actuator with it off the turbo and my line disappeared but. I believe it cycled back to where normal is! Does everything seem good?
2009 6.7, if i remove the actuator to test it, do i need to do any calibration to reinstall it? Turbo seems to work fine but exhaust brake doesnt do anything and i get a p2262
I have a 2008 Ram 6.7 Cummins . Question. My Turbo doesn’t work (no boost) I check the turbo actuator and fail sometimes. I bought a OR actuator and didn’t turn when you turn the key , I returned and got another from dealership OR and fail also . Any tips or it just a bad actuator. How can I know if new actuator is good?
Hey man the actuator drives when key turns on but does not drive back and sometimes it only gives a half turn clicks and stops. Would that still be the actuator or could it possibly be the ECM? I have p2262 code. Just don’t want to throw money in the wrong area.
Have you made the video of going into what was the problem with the actuator? So I have a U010C code, I believe my issue was caused after lending my truck to a friend who ending up welding on my truck and I believe burned up the electrics, my batteries are shot too… am I possible on the right track?
im having an issue with the actuator, when you turn the key on it turns, when you turn the key off it doesnt home itself, but iff you fiddle with the key back and forth a few times it will home but if you turn the key off for a second or 2 and turn it back on,it will not home itself, happens with a replacement actuator as well...could this be a ecu issue?
Mine just turns right, cycle key off then back on it turns right again. I made a mark with a paint marker and it never ended up in the same position. Guess that's bad
@@26titanium bad actuator, bought a remand one from daves super store, bought alfaodb from app store and a Bluetooth odb2 and calibrated it myself. Fixed for around 550$
@@26titanium definitely so, Chrysler quoted me 1728$ for the actuator and an additional 21xx$ for the turbo. I got 221k out of the OE actuator, I have a GTA55 sitting in my shop I want to add as an atmospheric compound.
Best info about turbo and their actuators I’ve learned so far. Lots of great important details!!
Great video thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge
God bless you and stay safe in these difficult times 🙋♂️ 🇬🇧

Extremely helpful thank you!
Really cool video! Thanks so much for sharing...😎👍
Good info. Thanks for sharing the details

Nice work

Which direction is the vein controller in for closed veins? To the right?
What if the actuator turns and also makes a buzzing sound when the key is on the on position
So, you can replace this item without calibration afterwards, providing the sequence is in the right order and the arm is in the right position??
I have a prob with my 2017 dodge 6.7 interminent loss of boost , does this mean i need another actuator
What turbo actuator do I have? I have a 2009 Dodge ram 5506.7 for the setting

My actuator is doing the exact same thing. What ended up happening with yours?
👍💪
With the key on it spins one way with the key off it does not spin back the other way the actuator

I disassembled a bad actuator but I can’t see what the problem was. I think it needs to be traced with an ohms meter.
👍

I’m not sure what to tell you about that one
I’m having a similar issue did you ever find a fix
Good job with the video making turbo
How about video

Mine does the same thing. Did you figure out what the problem was?

@@gregupon1 Nice! That beats a whole new turbo, which everyone around here seems to think is the only solution..

@@gregupon1 Did you mean DALES super store? Also, the software doesn't mention turbo calibration...
