How would they even do that? They'll have to change the fundamental technology of the controller just for a skin. Not only would it cost more, it would require a whole R & D to replace the current touch pad to a touch screen just to have cute eyes animating
I honestly loved Astro's Playroom that came on the PS5. I 100% completed that game before I played anything else on my PS5. I can't wait for this controller and for Astro Boy.

They also made the Xenon 360 controller, but the downside is that it is wired rather than wireless. They are about to release their Duchess, which is based on the OG Xbox Controller S with Hall Effect joysticks to prevent controller drift, which has been a common issue with the Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S controllers.
Pre-ordered this so I was guaranteed to get it. And it’s awesome. The guy who expedited me was a bit jealous I think, he even joked with me that they didn’t actually have it, but I did get it in the end.

The eyes will blink according to their post and blog. More than likely it does all the video shows but that was an animated controller needed so the bots could interact with it.

It's funny because the Spider-Man controller was easier to obtain by a landslide, especially compared to the matching faceplates. I consider myself extremely lucky I got the latter at retail price off of Amazon
@sixtocortescastaneda4169 here in the UK the controller was the only thing that was left the plates were put of stock from pre order and never went to stores and then they had the console bundles but I didn't want to pay for a new console so I never got the plates and refused to buy the controller at the time and regret it to this day

Astrobot is one of my the most expected upcoming games of the year in september my birthmonth and that Astro Bot DualSense controller is the most cutest controller I've ever seen thank you PlayStation! 💙
