You guys are the best in the world at reviews and entertainment and we always see it first only on tfl we love you guys!!!
Thinking the exact same thing!
2nd best after OG top gear
Yeah no ..sorry just city slicker reviews lol
TFL is second to Clarkson, Hammond and May. However when it comes trucks yeah they are the best.

I love the new TRX even though she has a drinking problem.
Just my kinda gal...
Unfortunately mine as well
If you have enough money to buy one it’s not a concern.

I've had 3 2021 Silvarado commercials during this episode. Man, Chevy doesn't like being left out 😂
They should definitely build a similar truck. I've always been a Ford guy but I believe all three do their best when they have more competition
@@robertbrown6933 Exactly my thoughts. I'm driving a Ford and happy to see they'll need to bring in something new to keep up with the TRX. I know my next truck will be better for it.
I know it’s like hilarious

I got 3 State Farms about the Kellys stupid sleeping baby. They should make money, package it up and shell it to a sweat shop. It and FB messenger are the only ads I now see since then elections are over.
The permanent smile on Roman’s face when he’s in the TRX says it all. 😀
So true
That truck has the potential to make a grown man feel like a 15 years old kid again. 😀
But that smile fades at the pump.
TRX Ram ❤#1/////
Boomer
I recall when Andre was going over the order spec on the TRX , there were countless people telling you guys it was a mistake to not order the $500 surround cam system on the TRX.
We all knew you would take it to places like this, and would regret not having surround cams. Looked like Tommy found the front cam very helpful especially on that slick rock climb.
The sight lines on the raptor are actually pretty good offroad. I did a steep climb last week and could actually see where I was going. I use the cams mostly for maneuvering around in tight spaces. These trucks are so big on the trail the cameras are super nice to have.
Thats crazy that trx doesn't come with front camera already. Like rapter. It should be must include $80+ truck
@@RM-xx6fm it’s not an $80k truck, it’s a $77k truck. Base price with base options. The surround/front camera is a must on these trucks! Too bad they didn’t get it.
@@marvinheadrick3511 and can go well over 100k. Point is at that price point just put the cams and especially with a truck that big and wide
@@joel9405 oh I agree that it should have the cams! I couldn’t drive my Power Wagon without em hardly. But trim levels are trim levels. If they had paid a little more they’d have it. We have a Jaguar FPace that was $40 k, and has no cameras and dim halogen headlights. It drives me a bit crazy, but if we’d bought one with that stuff it’d have been $60k. Maybe make them all the same and throw out the lowest price and the highest price and charge somewhere in the middle.
Still love the Raptor!
Same. Very capable and it looks a little meaner than the TRX in my opinion. Currently have a 5.7 Ram and even though the TRX is probably out of my budget range, I’m not sure I’d be quick to buy another RAM. I’ve been trying to get my hands on a 2nd gen Raptor for the past month because I really want one, but they’re so hard to find. The only thing I’d genuinely miss is the sound of that Hemi.
@@arx4-571 The 5.7 is no slouch either! My mindset with the 2nd gen Raptor has always been it sounds cool anyway just because the fact it is a Raptor! A little immature mindset? Maybe, but it sure makes you care less about the v8!
@@chieffan2525 true, I drove one and the ecoboost completely blows the 5.7 out of the water. My main issue with my RAM is the BW44-44 t-case (with the 4WD auto feature, only one you can get in Europe unless it's a rebel) isn't great off-road at all and got me stuck in a pretty nasty spot where a truck with a true 4WD Lock would've gotten me out.
This + the bad transmission programming (transmission itself is great, a lot of cars have a ZF 8-speed over here), the ticking lifters, ... I just started looking for something new and always loved the Raptor, lol!
I'm a little hesitant because TFL announced they'll show off the new one in February (maybe with a V8), but I always loved the 2nd gens.
A V8 rumble really adds to the driving experience for me, I know it sounds so incredibly stupid. But on the other hand you get a so much more capable truck, so... it's tough lol!
@@arx4-571 I do believe the V8 Raptor will be priced more like the TRX. Honestly I just can't wait for the Gen 3s to come out to shake the market on pricing for Gen 2s. They hold their value to the point where its gonna be 5 years til they are relatively affordable
@@chieffan2525 you're right, good point... that'd suck. It doesn't need to be a 700 hp V8 truck though, it's a lot of fun but no one needs that.
And yes, trucks hold value like crazy over here as well. My RAM with about 80k miles if I converted that correctly is still worth about €32K if I trade it in, probably more if I'd sell it. Was new just under €50K.
Raptors are even crazier, even the 1st gens are still incredibly pricey where I live!
In real life the natural habitat for 98% of theses trucks is a mall parking lot.
Facts.
Do people really still go to malls? I haven't been in one in close to 20 years. You can get everything delivered to your house.
Who goes to malls?
True. Also very overpriced. For 10k or less you could build an old truck to outperform either of these.
@@Enchanted3DPrints Yes indeed. After a lot of research, I picked up a '21 Tacoma TRD Off Road. For the type of four wheeling I intend to do it will be perfect. I am not going to be rock crawling nor am I desert racing, just overlanding on desert two tracks. I figure I can get by with just a few mods and have exactly what I want without breaking the bank.
Most importantly, which one has the best turning circle? Walmart parking lots are tight. Asking for a friend.
Raptor definitely
The turning circle of the normal F150 is already the worst in the class… Raptor just makes it worse…
@@ysgood you must be joking
@@Leroy1 Did you drive any other trucks other than F150. At least for crew cabs with short bed, F150 has the worst turning circle. You simply can't do U turns on most double lanes. Silverado is just little bit better but the visibility is much worse. Ram is the best among the three. I don't have a Raptor, but considering its offset and width, not a chance it's better than normal F150s.
This is honestly the best offroading RUclips channel
Looks like Roman might be buying that dodge for his own daily. Though Tommy’s point “do you really need 700hp to go half a mile an hour”. Lol
I thought he did buy it?
He did buy it

The face we got at the end of that German lesson and questioning was gold. Confused shrugging and acceptance all in one 😂
Something about watching this with the whole father and son comparing vehicles makes it a bit more enjoyable! Awesome video guys!
"Does things no truck should do"?
Wrong.
Does things EVERY TRUCK should do.
The desert-running part - maybe it doesn't look so amazing since we're all used to watching trophy trucks in baja or whatever - but a typical stock truck is going to be running out of suspension travel and hammering the driver and vehicle a lot at that speed.
@@youtubeaccount9058 try my F350, it would beat you to death at anything over 5 MPH.

Nothing like drinking hot coffee on a Saturday morning, watching a new TFL video.
I’ve driven both and I find that on offroad trails that are more high speed, the raptor does better. The TRX is heavier in the front so the dip up front is not that great. On the same trail I was able to get up to 50-60 easily and was comfortable but in the TRX only about 40-50 and I was wincing because the front was hitting very badly.
Your German lesson was spot on...take it from a guy with that "ei" in his last name lol Ernewein = Earn-a-wine
I agree he was correct on the shocks , curious if memory serves , doesn’t the w in your name pronounce with a v sound in German ?
yeah, truth be told my great grandpa swapped the v to a w back in the day when he came to Canada lol
General German rule - whether ie or ei just pronounce the long form of the second letter.
Haha my name has been pronounced wrong all my life too!
As a German Weik, I sure wish this lesson were more popular!
Great videography, those are some quality visuals, getting so much better over the years. Keep up the good work!
Love the dynamic between you guys. Pretty entertaining, keep it up!
That soft-topper just doesn’t look right on that Raptor.
I like it a lot actually
I agree 100% looks terrible on there.
I have seen many a comment, Telling them to take that silly looking thing off there. Lol
I think it looks ok on the Tacoma. The shape of the topper is not complementary to the silhouette of the Raptor. Just comes across as sloppy.
You should not put a topper on your truck it makes it look like a old mans truck. It’s just not cool looking.
@@Ryanhaglund Exactly!
It just doesn’t fit or align with the contours of the F150.
Love watching y’all with my morning coffee!
Good stuff! My Saturday morning wake up content has been satisfied. :)
I love that one older guy that spoke German. That was awesome!
That Ford raptor looks soo good ! I love the trx but the raptor actually looks meaner in red love it guys
Great video TFL!!! Love seeing you guys asking and talking about the questions we would all have about the trucks and exposing details. I love the data you’re able to present, not from guessing but from real information you’ve received from the engineers. As a daily I still have oils go Raptor. The operation costs would be much lower than TRX. Hopefully I have my ducks in a row I’d consider buying the Raptor in a year! It would tow my blue GT350. Going for that RED WHITE AND BLUE setup!!
Best of the best, period. Very cool, entertaining and informative reviews, great work TFL
i love the way that TRX sounds, that supercharged Hemi just begs to be unleashed.
The Raptor did very good👍, and the new Raptor will be even way better. I've a lot of hope Ford.
I think they both did very well.

Super cool video! I fall into that category of people that would never even dream of paying 100k for a dodge truck. No matter what they bolt to it
Agreed. Worst reliability in the industry. Everyone knows fiat stands for fix it again tony
@@Enchanted3DPrints What's unreliable about it then if you're such an expert on the subject? Engine has decent reliability ratings for having 700 hp. The ZF 8 speed is bulletproof, and even Toyota uses it. Fiat is ranked number 1 for reliability in Europe. Get your head out of your ass.
@@Enchanted3DPrints you obviously have no clue what your talking about and buddy up there talking about reliability but has a BMW M4 as a prof pic 😂 which has to be the brand that has the most reliability issues

Kudos on the filming and the production value. The audio and the visual quality was awesome. Give the production guys a cold one they derserve it.
Hey Andre@tfltruck! Y'all should do another video of both trucks doing a desert race but show the actual speeds of the trucks! Or go to death valley and do a 1 mile/ 1/4 mile drag race in the desert
Out of curiosity, which one had the more comfortable ride when you were doing the high speed off roading?
I am a diehard ford truck fan and have been a very long time I've had great trouble free luck with them that being said it looks like ram has really improved to the point I would definitely consider one for my next purchase. I am thrilled that the raptor will have to improve to be the top truck. Thank you T F L for all you do! I also bought my last truck based solely on your videos and still love my truck.
I have been waiting this video for ages.
I absolutely love the TRX and I'll just pay the price for the mpg lol

As my German teacher said - When 'I' and 'E' go walkin', the second one does the talkin'. Why he decided to put it like this, I'll never know.
Maybe Bilstein is an exception like weiner.
Absolutely love your videos. I pointed my Raptor up Baby Lion and saw nothing but sky. My pucker factor wasn’t up to it. I used to think Hugh Hefner was the man, but I’m reconsidering.
Dude!! That high speed section was gnarly! You had to be approaching double digit speed there for a second.
Was there a reason you only talked about the Raptors rear fender clearance issue and didn’t really show it visibly? Was it cut for a reason? I saw it on one side but we didn’t get to see you on the other discussing the rubbing issue?
probably happens alot when you add 500lbs to the bed with that ugly camper thing.
@@enigma9789 Doesn't matter. It shouldn't happen, and that probably doesn't even weigh 200lbs.
This is the video I've been waiting on since y'all bought a Raptor and TRX. I'd still take the Raptor tho.
Awesome video, uploaded on my birthday!
Happy B-Day!
Although I don’t think anyone on this channel has the annoying “game show host” voice, I’m glad you brought it up. So many channels do this and it’s terrible.
When are y’all going to take that dorky looking bed cover off the Raptor? Or do y’all feel you have to ugly it up so the TRX looks better?
Someone got their feelings heart. That T-rex eats the Raptor in everyway.
@69Mach I CJ Even? Yeah, sure bud. The Raptor rubs the tires on the fenders every time they test it. Not to mention grinding the foot rails. The TRX has more power, coil springs, and a rear axle dampener that attaches to the diff housing. The TRX has more suspension travel. The only thing the Raptor did well was the hill climb due to visibility. Even THAT was a stretch because they refused to buy the camera package (TRX) that the Raptor has. Not to mention the Raptor interior is ass. Sounds like shit too but that's my opinion. Just rewind and watch the reaction during the dune run. Its obvious which truck was more fun to drive.
TRX will be garbage in less than 5 yrs

If anything, this video just emphasizes how brilliant the Raptor is. Its more nimble and just seems more capable in the rough stuff. The V8 engine is the only reason why the two chose the TRX. On ability, looks like the Raptor still has it. It seemed more confident in the high speed runs as well.
That was a lousy test of "desert running" Neither trucks used half their suspension. I've simulated desert running better in a Starbucks parking lot
Definitely not " running ".
These aren't professional drivers on closed courses, it's Roman just giving it a little gas like most people would do. He didn't roll anything and he had the time of his life, what are you mad about?

06:20 The wide angle mode on the GoPro (?) really makes it hard to see the actual articulation because of the image stretching, but at 06:30 the other camera that is not wide angle really showed it big time.
What a great video guys, really impressive off road abilities by the TRX, I am surprised.
Thanks. The desert running was interesting. Looks very uncomfortable for the driver and passenger. Also great way to shake an expensive vehicle apart.
Ford: Enough of the Eco-boost. It was cute, we get it. But now Ram has shown what happens when you put boost in a real engine. Why not a Roots or Twin-screw 6.2 or 7.3?

It’s about damn time. I hope they offer it in the F150 too.
@@scottythebody0811 f150 also 2021 can be bought with a coyote engine 5.0 but even that I love v8 I need to admit these EcoBoost engines are amazing not to replace the v8 but as an option for power with better gas mileage, I own I Focus RS and an escape both with EcoBoost and I'm so surprised how the escape with a 1.5L 3 cylinder EcoBoost gives me 181HP and 177LB of torque compare to my daughter Mirage 1.5L 3 cylinder also that only produce 78HP or my sister 4 cylinder Mitsubishi outlander sport with a 4 cylinder 2.4L with 168HP so that show that this EcoBoost is amazing budget engines, my Focus RS is 350HP but with a few mods that I did is now 450HP (398 to the Wheels) but again I'm not saying EcoBoost is better I'm just saying they have a place in this world even if they don't sound like a monster engine will sound because at the end I don't run with the sound I run with the performance the engine and the car give me.
"The new 2021 Ford F-150 has a host of changes including a new hybrid system, on-board generator (no, it’s not just an inverter) and, what seemed to be, only one change to the 5.0-liter V-8 Coyote engine, which is a slight bump in horsepower and torque."
Ford is years ahead of fiat. They know what customers want. A fully capable off-road truck but with good fuel economy and some what affordable. Most these trucks will be payment driven and they know that. Trx Is badass but won't outsell the raptor.

I have a 2019 F150 with the 5.0. My point is that if equal boost was applied to a V8, there’d be no comparison
I thought it was strange that you said the TRX won the test on the suspension travel because the Raptor kept all tires on the ground and the TRX didn't.
Since when is it a bad thing to keep the tires on the ground? That’s the whole point of long travel suspension
Haha leave it to the "Ford Guy" 👦 to defend the v6'er. I think he was referring to not clearing the center over the obstacle.
No joke thats the whole point. Thats why I said it was strange that they said the TRX won, the Raptor is what kept its tires on the ground not the TRX. As far as hitting in the center that's the difference between running boards and no running boards.

The TRX does come with a front camera too depending on the configuration.
I've been watching your channel for a long time, and have watched multiple vids. For me Roman's dislike for Ford is really starting to be a problem, I watched Ram coddle you guys since they unveiled that prototype years ago and then Ford gave you a time out/ spanking. I think Ram is doing a great job with there trucks, but when ever the edge go's to them Roman is ecstatic ( rubbing steps) but not so much on the front facing camara, and don't get me started on the crawl control VS paddle shifters!!! It's starting to remind me of Milwaukee tool salesman posing as RUclips channels VS Dewalt, I've had to unsubscribe from all of those. @Air Force Juan awww so original, kid. Tell me did your mommy help you with all those big words?
@Air Force Juan might be a goid thing because im sure she'd be disappointed
@Air Force Juan It's sad that a "Fiat" is better than your Ford. Now, go back into your hole.
In the end it's evident to all but the very slowest of society that the TRX is a sad imitation with little to offer and that's why its horsepower is all that is talked about. The Raptor not only has a SUPERIOR suspension setup, but its offroad programs are better too.
The trx only won every race. 🙄
i think you meant to say same they literally have the same setups and programs only ram has a custom mode while you may not like a V8 engine sound many do prefer raw power rather than a twin turbo engine could it be better? sure but in terms of performance both do the same job except as was shown the coils did better than the leaf's
