did all that and, wider axles, metal motor crossmember , metal bumpers for the fairlead, brass hexes, barage motor, keypull for winch. aftermarket motor mounting plate, solid core solder flatened for wheel weights.
I have the deadbolt also and upgraded everything to metal. Then I found that running it with the extra weight burned out the stock motor two of them. I have an RGTD2 that I took the motor out of which is basically the larger barage motor.Let’s solve the problem I also bought some heat diffusing fence that I could Super glue to the motor housing to help defuse heat when running. The last thing that I did was I got some metal wheels on Patagonia tires. It performs as best as it could perform I put it up against another stock deadbolt, and there was a huge difference in performance climbing etc. also with the we also added brass wideners. so it handles side hills much better also if it does tip and roll eight out of 10 times it lands on its tires upright. i’ve added some modeling modifications found on eBay such as shovel pickax self rescue ramps snorkel off-road lights on the top of the role cage above the driver. another notice out with a new motor it has more torque but it is not as fast as the stock motor that being the trade off I’ll take that over the cheap stock motor that’ comes with the vehicle out of the box.
Maybe try taking a dremel to the inside of the white wheels to sand off the paint. I dont have the brass wheel weights so I'm not sure if it would work.
I tried shaving the wheel weights down recently and they still didn’t fit very well, I did get the carbon fiber frame rails for the Chevy today though so tomorrow video is a review of those 😄👍🏻
@@UpperLeftRC nice!! 👌. So far I've gotten the email saying it shipped lol. No clue what is going on with the furitek mainboard I ordered. It was supposed to ship yesterday but when I checked my order status it says unfulfilled. Everything is sold out and says next shipping will be on the 21st. Who knows when that thing will arrive. I'm also going to be uploading a couple vids soon lol
I don’t have any affiliate links, I buy most of my stuff on eBay or Amazon and I’m still a very new channel but I appreciate you wanting to support me 😄👍🏻 I hope in the future to have affiliate links and I will definitely post them when I do
Shy not fill your tires with lead shot? Not fill but maybe 2 ounces in each tire. It is what we do with full sized rigs. Who cares about heavy diff covers. Your tires are on the ground. Lowest center of gravity you can get.
Lead shot in the tires is a great way to get low center of gravity weight but the diff covers are a more scale way to achieve lower center of gravity, it’s not the most efficient way to low the CG but it’s a practical way to keep the vehicle functioning in a “scale way” 😄👍🏻
@@blazinthat7439 Tomorrow’s video is another complete scx24 upgrade video if your interested in checking it out 👍🏻 the best thing you can replace first is tires, they make a world of difference!
Hot Racing ( and I assume the other company's) makes 2 sets of links, one for the trucks/jeep and one set for the deadbolt. One is 133.7mm (Trucks/Jeep) the other is 133.5mm (Deadbolt), just keep checking and make sure to buy the right ones.

Them links fit a deadbolt? It said on amain they wouldn’t fit a deadbolt model?
hey Chief, i ain't never coming home
What brand are those brass hex weights? I have mofo hex weights but i'm lookin for the ones with more brass on the front face like yours.
Hot Racing
Just file down the flats of the wheel weights until they get into the hex! Stock tyres not the best
Do you have video on taking tires off
I don’t but that’s not a bad idea :)

What's that like $150 in parts?
I don't remember exactly but I think you are close lol
@@UpperLeftRC I just bought my Deadbolt, been looking for things to replace.

I burnt out the part that makes it go forward and back
What is the part called
The motor or the ESC? I would guess it’s the motor if you “burnt it out”
@@UpperLeftRC I'm guessing it burnt out since smoke came out of it
Yeah then it probably definitely burnt out 😕
Bonjour a toi le memes comportement que un scx10 ?
I only speak English unfortunately so I don't know what you asked, im sorry :/

I don’t know about what Amain was referring too but the ones I bought in this video from eBay fit great 😄
