You are absolutely correct. I started a business with a friend of mine, we do dog walking, training, grooming, daycare, boarding, etc. It's still better than working with people, though.
True. I used to love boating. Now i'm a boat technician, and i drive around 100-200 different boats every year. Even going 65 knots in a 1 million dollar boat bores me now. You'll never see me in a boat in my spare time lol
You’re my favorite rc RUclipsr because even though you’ve made a nice living for yourself you still haven’t lost sight of why we started this hobby.. and you get to do all the stuff we wanted to do or thought of as kids. It’s pretty awesome. Never change brother

Kevin I believe you need vent hole in the cap of the shocks. You could be getting air in the cavity which will cause the shock to not compress right. Also maybe polish the shock shafts? Love your content, this is Jeff from Florida USA. You need to come here and have some fun!
The clip at 21:44 gave me an idea. You could run a device like you had on your bike as a kid a playing card in the spokes to make a noise with the brushless set up. Something out of metal might sound fun.
Man I feel your pain as I had this happen years ago with my race car, would cut out at 3000rpm. We tried replacing so many things, ended up bypassing the kill switch and it solved the problem. On the bright side at least it's dealing with frustration with something you love doing, keep it up!
As someone who enjoys the RC hobby vicariously through your videos, I really appreciate the bashing and "to the moon" approach. Keep breaking stuff! Thanks
Kev, you're the best. I love that you take your R/C's to the limit and beyond. It helps me decide which ones to buy. I got the Team Associated Rival MT10 because of YOU. After the RPM arms were installed, it took almost all the torture you could throw at it. Please, ignore the babies, and continue on with THE DESTRUCTION!!!!
I have three nitro trucks for exactly the same reason! I also have a dozen electrics but there is something about the sound and smell that comes from those little pains in the Arse!
When everything rc goes wrong = no fun, I always step back and simplify. Find one thing that works perfectly and do only that till you’re tired of having fun!
My baja 5b killed the first engine, so I replaced it with a new better engine. Ran it a few times, then it didn't want to start up like that. Had enough of that mess and traded it off, electric everything now 😆
How to read a spark plug Kevin: White is lean or not enough gas-too much air Dark brown is rich or too much gas - not enough air And tan is what you want
Man, that truck is just mental with a high performance 71 cc. 2 stroke!!😲 Not surprised it destroys gearboxes and diffs on a regular basis.😄 Your mag must be arcing across the kill switch to cause it to cut out like that, or the switch is at fault. A 'plunger' type kill switch would probably be in order, instead of those cheap switches with reed type contacts, Reed switches have a tendency to set up a harmonic vibration with whatever rpm the engine is running, and when the contacts bounce together they effectively cut the spark at a given rpm. Just an educated guess!😉
been missing watching your content and im thinking of getting my old stampede vxl back out! ive been busy with other hobbies but i miss rc cars again 😂
Lol! Definitely not one of these experts in the comments you mentioned..learnt most of what I know from you and always enjoy your videos.. thanks for making them! All the best and see ya in the next one
2 stroke pocket bike 39cc engines as this is based on, the first mod was to get away from the valve carb and use a dellorto 17,5 that isn't depended on needing a trim every new day it's been run. Dont know what this is based on but intake looks to fit from a polini 911 race pocket bike. 14:00 Reeds on bottom of the screen look worn indicated by flaked tips. Shine light thru it from crankcase side and if it's not fully closed it needs replacing. Intake should always be sealed with automotive silicone. Gasket is fine but never 100%. Test for leakage by spraying the intake with brake cleaner. Rpm change or cut out means a leak.
He said 71cc, I was blown away! They make kids dirt bikes with 50cc I was thinking this thing's gonna be crazy.. then you said base on 39cc . Now I'm confused...
As someone who has worked on high rpm 2 stroke carbs and insane rpm inline-4 carbs, understanding carbs is a bit of a science and bit of magic. Fiddle with them and count your turns in or out but always set a base of midway and work the tuning from there is what I've learned. Multiple carbs inline is where the magic comes into play
Always warm them up. Set high speed first always. Set idle Advance throttle, if hesitates.. richen it… if slow to increase revs, lean it off. Don’t go anymore than 1/8 of a turn at a time. Yes it’s tedious but at the end of the day it’s worth it to have a full day of fun and easy running gas engines.
@KevinTalbot, you absolutely crack me up dude. 🤣🤣🤣. You need to come to Las Vegas in the US, and do some bashing on these skate parks here. They're massive. LOL. Annnnnnnd of course, the real Monster Jam comes here too.
Kevin, you should make a 1/8 scale capo for us! I know they wre super pricey, but also super AWESOME! i also found an rc car local to me that was custom built, ge wants around 5,000$USD for it, but its actually large enough its designed to ride in
Simple. Go brushless Kev, go brushless. It's way more fun, it just does what it says on the box, and fun happens, much more. Goes way faster too. If you need the sound, buy a speaker, and play engine noises, while you are doing brushless. Its as good as it gets.
The thing is, Kevin, at the end of the day, there are your rc cars, and if braking your rc cars and sending them to the moon 🌙 makes you happy then that's fine by me. I know I can't afford to, and I have to admit it's pretty cool watching you do it ❤❤❤
Wow, getting that thing running was a mission. I honestly thought it was going to be a fuel starvation issue, ahh live and learn. I would also like to see you get the Primal Challenger, they look awesome.
I'm not sure if someone else mentioned this before but in this switch is a spring that holds the contact in place and the vibration from the motor can make this contact resonate with the motor and cut it off. I had the same problem with an ultrasonic cleaner switch.
I was surprised this wasn't a video on the new Primal Challenger, kinda hoping to see you review it in the future and give it the Talbot squeeze until it pops lol
for the fuel better use aspen motorsaw mix ore something like that. this is ready and much better as the self mixed one. normaly every seller for motorsaws should have this. greatings from germany
Hi Kev, why dont you reach out to a few tyre manufacturers and see if they can make tyres for your world record car ? Maybe a bit of sponsorship too !! Great channel !! BOOM!!
Meh. A carburettored engine. Air, fuel, spark. It should run. My first thought was something electrical on the truck, or signal interference between the controller and the ignition.
Hey kev, Awesome bash brother! Make sure your check your RX pack because the throttle servo might be drawing enough current to cause voltage sag and trip the kill switch.

Copper tube over broken bolt, just smaller than the hole, and add material inside tubing. Works like a charm.
When nitros are running its very rewarding!
It's not a nitro motor.
It's petrol (gas).
Two stroke mix with a spark plug, not a glow plug.
Should run a lot easier than a nitro motor.
