Just want to say thank you for making this video. I been paying a local mechanic to change my HIDs. I believed this is the 4th time the right side got burnt out, due to the fact that it was closer to the engine and it overheats. The mechanic was extremely annoyed with me and my car. I decided to DIY which I should have done in the first place. I bought a couple sets of HIDs just in case. Last night after work, I made my first attempt to change out the HID kit. It took me a while but now I got the hang of it, it shouldn't take me long if I were to change it again next time. I'm so glad I don't have to pay someone to do it for me. I made sure for this time the ballast was mounted away from the engine and where there's more ventilation. Hopefully, it stays good for years rather than months. I also plan to purchase new snaps for the mudflap since it's wearing out.
Thank you so much for this video. It was really detailed and the reason I purchased the kit. I ordered my LED kit and installed within 30 minutes. I didn't even realize it came with the Double-sided tape until I started the second headlight. I also didn't have to take the wheel out, for those asking.
We are happy to hear you are satisfied with your purchase. Please, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns with your LEDs in the future.
The high beam installation process would be identical to as shown in the video, but you would install this kit: www.precisionled.com/premium-9005-cree-led-headlights.html
Did you have any issues with the blinkers not working or blink rapidly when the lights are off? I have that issue with the LED lights I have. Blinkers only work if the lights are off, but blink fast, and don't come on at all when the lights are on.
There are many factors and many upgrades to headlight housings over the years that help mitigate any glare to oncoming drivers. It is more or less the color of the light which causes distraction and not the actual brightness intensity itself. If you notice, the most distracting lights to see on the road are the blue HID lights which cause a lot of glare for the human eye, whereas you probably never noticed the 6000K or 8000K lights on the road because they are more natural to the human eye.
+PrecisionLED I think you went the wrong way. The higher the K number the more blue and purple the lights are. 4k is more natural. And i have hid's in my 08 accord. 6K. I did a retrofit with projectors and painted chrome housing black. My cut off is sick. No glare.
Hi , Perfect video, no need to remove the wheel , only need to remove two trim clips and and you can move the trim enough to access the lamp. thanks for your help.
I understand this was done 7 years ago but can somebody answer if you can replace the high beam light bulbs this way too or any other lights like the signal and side lights too. TY
Very good video...clear, informative instructions. I think I'm gonna try doing this myself. Any suggestions for good led lightbulbs for 2008 honda accord sedan?
Thank you for your interest. Yes, here is a direct product link for the headlamps for your vehicle: www.precisionled.com/premium-9006-cree-led-headlights.html? We have the highest quality LEDs on the market, which we back with a lifetime warranty.
I have a question, I have a 2012 Honda Accord se, I want to change both the running light/low beam and high beam. And blinkers could I reach all the connections from under the fender liner or would I have to take off the whole bumper?
You're tutorial is bulletproof! Nice and clear. Thanks. I have a 2008 Accord Sedan exl v6 and I put on the 9006 lowbeams. Great product! . I want to also get the highbeam/DRL LEDs. Is it also the 9006 for these? Same as the lowbeams? (My highbeams and DRL use the same bulb)
We appreciate the kind words! Your highs / DRLs would use the 9005 kit here: www.precisionled.com/premium-9005-cree-led-headlights.html This upgrade will change your highs and DRLs to LED without any issues. When the DRLs are ignited, the LEDs are designed to dim, exactly as your halogens do.
Are you referring to the high beam? It is a similar installation method but you might be able to access the light from the top by opening your hood, instead of from the bottom through the fender liner.
Hi sir , does this beautiful led going to work with a reflector headlight housing , if you do me a favor to make videos with this accord to see how the street looks like. Because I have 3 Honda Accord and all of them has reflector housing i just want to make sure before I buy 3 pairs
Yes, the LEDs will indeed work with your reflector housing. If you are concerned about flare, there are many factors and many upgrades to headlight housings over the years that help mitigate any glare to oncoming drivers. It is more or less the color of the light which causes distraction and not the actual brightness intensity itself. If you notice, the most distracting lights to see on the road are the blue HID lights which cause a lot of glare for the human eye, whereas you probably never noticed the 6000K lights on the road because they are more natural to the human eye.
Thank you for the interest. You can find the proper headlight kit for your 2000 Accord here: www.precisionled.com/premium-9006-cree-hl-gl-headlight-led.html
Im sure This kit would fit a 2012 Accord 2.2 I-DTEC CU3 euro wouldnt it? I have to do something with them My headlights are a load of crap compared to my previous car vw passat cc with xenon's lol
does it shot out like a headlight beam or spread out like a fog light, I have tried led before and they don't seem to reach out as far as a halogen or hid bub
That is very odd, however, your previous experiences could have been from a lower quality LED product, as sometimes the lower quality products do not increase your headlight brightness. Our kits increase your nighttime driving visibility by 2-3x. I believe your comparison is similar to a projector vs reflector housing. The LEDs would project as your halogens do in your headlights. However, they will be MUCH brighter.
Does it work with reflection housing assembly, because I use hid and led they seem like blind other cars and there’s no pointed light in street they not good as the projector, so my question is are those beautiful led functions on reflectors same as the projector assembly?? Because i see the shape of the led is half round and thats why got my attention it may be good for reflectors housing ? ,,,,,,,,,,thanks
I have a 2010 Honda accord going to get my head lights and taillights blacked out i want to put led in but idk if I can how do I tell if I can run the led lights
As long as you are not swapping your entire housing, then you should be able to install our LEDs onto your vehicle. Here are the proper items for your vehicle: www.precisionled.com/honda-accord-premium-led-headlight-package-2008-2012.html www.precisionled.com/honda-accord-crosstour-led-backup-reverse-lights-2010-present.html

For this reason, we only carry the 6000K color for our LED headlamps.
We did not change the highs in the video. However, the high beam installation process would be identical to as shown in the video, but you would install this kit: www.precisionled.com/premium-9005-cree-led-headlights.html
We cannot comment on products that we do not sell, but yes the H11 bulb is compatible with your 8th gen Accord coupe! Here is a link to our H11 bulb for your convenience: www.precisionled.com/premium-h11-cree-led-headlights.html
Hi, I am interested to install LED into my low beam headlight camry 07. My concern is if it is DOT approved. I don't want to blind other car from the other side.
The legality varies vastly from locale to locale and you will need to check with your local laws and regulations. What we commonly dissuade customers from, and what is illegal, are any colors above 6000K, as they are prohibited by the Department Of Transportation. Any color hues in your headlights are very distracting to other drivers which is why we only carry the 6000K color temperature for the headlamps, as they project the purest white. With proper installation in a projector housing, your aftermarket LED headlights will perform exactly like OEM LEDs.
Great tutorial. Very clear spoken, direct and simple explanations, with good camera angles in addition to a few tips! Do you know if this specific HID kit is compatible with 2010 Honda Accord Coupe? I assume it is compatible for all 8th generations but wanted to confirm.
Thank you for your interest. Are you referring to a dust cover? If so, you would need to drill a hole in the dust cover in order to feed the wires through. You would want to seal the hole with some electrical tape.
I believe the DRLs would project from the highs, which you can access from the hood of the car. Also, you would want to install this 9005 high/DRL kit: www.precisionled.com/premium-9005-cree-led-headlights.html
The DRLs would project from the same bulb as the high beams, so upgrading the highs with LED will also upgrade your DRLs. You can find the high beam kit here: www.precisionled.com/premium-9005-cree-led-headlights.html
Although removing the wheel is not entirely necessary, it does make the installation easier. Also, it was removed in order to get a better camera shot.

This is so much simpler than other videos recommending to remove the bumper. Thanks!
Thanks for tuning in!
@Mark Myles Nope, nobody gives a damn.
Bumpers only need to be removed when your replacing the entire headlight enclosure.

El vídeo me gustó.
Worked perfect man -- thank you ! No one else on RUclips has a EASY tutorial such as yours -- NICE JOB !!!
+Don Juan Thanks!
Is better to remove the tires? Some other videos show just rotation the tires in/out and still have similar access. Plus, I have fog lamps too.
I have a (black) 2011 Honda Accord looks exactly like the one on this video. These leds u have should fit on my vehicle as well right?
What a fucking pain in the ass just to change a light bulb. Whoever came up with that idea should be punched in the face.
Do you put the daytime running light bulb in the same way
How do you adjust the driver's side headlight, I'd like to see how it's done.
Can you also install the high beam led bulb using this method? Or would you have to take the headlight assembly off?
Thanks
The high beam installation process would be identical to as shown in the video, but you would install this kit: www.precisionled.com/premium-9005-cree-led-headlights.html
Great video thanks. That’s some impractical design by Honda. Most brands have easy the bulb access.
Does it have clear cut off line or does the light bleed everywhere?
Great video!
Just what I needed.
Also liked the music 🎶
Excellent video!
Did you have any issues with the blinkers not working or blink rapidly when the lights are off? I have that issue with the LED lights I have. Blinkers only work if the lights are off, but blink fast, and don't come on at all when the lights are on.
are u sure u don't need proper projectors bcs on the wall it seems there's a lot of glare

Yes. Exact same way. You don’t need to remove the headlight.

So what do we do when it’s flickering after install with the anti flicker installed.
Did you fix it?
why you need balast for?
I have a question, I have a 2012 Honda Accord se, I want to change both the running light/low beam and high beam. And blinkers could I reach all the connections from under the fender liner or would I have to take off the whole bumper?
The low beam and high beam can be accessed from the fender liner. We do not do blinkers so we cannot give you a definite answer on that one.
How do i knw if my 2011 Honda accord 2.4 has halogen headlights

Are you referring to the high beam? It is a similar installation method but you might be able to access the light from the top by opening your hood, instead of from the bottom through the fender liner.

We do! Here is a direct link for your convenience:

can you access the fog lights in the same area?
Yes, that is correct, you can access the fogs also by simply peeling back the wheel well liner.
Man some guys take off the whole bumper for this your method is much easier.
Glad to make things a bit easier! Thanks for tuning in.
I have a 2010 Honda accord going to get my head lights and taillights blacked out i want to put led in but idk if I can how do I tell if I can run the led lights

What's the lifespan of these lights.. Say the standard Kepler version?
The Kepler LED kit is expected to last 60,000 hours (or approx. the lifespan of the vehicle).
How to replace a bowl of 2010 Honda Accord
So do you need resistors
Thank you for your interest. No, no resistors are necessary with our high quality Canbus headlamps.
What’s the bulb sz on a 2011 V6 Honda Accord coupe??
The 2011 Coupe would use the H11 fitment, which you can find here: www.precisionled.com/premium-h11-cree-led-headlights.html
I wanna order these led package but i just wanna make they will fit
From switching from halogen to led, wouldn't you blind people because it's brighter?
There are many factors and many upgrades to headlight housings over the years that help mitigate any glare to oncoming drivers. It is more or less the color of the light which causes distraction and not the actual brightness intensity itself. so long as you don't aim them above 3.5ft at 25ft distance you wont blind anyone.
Its mainly the blue ones that blind you. Also cars theses day come out the factory with white lights to.
Yes the cheap ones.
You never change the high beams ?
We did not change the highs in the video. However, the high beam installation process would be identical to as shown in the video, but you would install this kit: www.precisionled.com/premium-9005-cree-led-headlights.html
Will this work for 2009 Honda Accord Euro?
Yes, it should be compatible with your 2009 Honda Accord Euro. You can reach us with any other questions at help@precisionled.com!
would these work for the coupes as well?
Thank you for the interest. Yes, the coupe and sedan 2008-2012 Accord use the same 9006 bulb type.
PrecisionLED coupe H11. sedan
9006 :P
Yup and the coupe has a projector not a reflector. So it will look totally different
Will my Benebolt H11 fit my 8th generation Accord coupe EX-L?
We cannot comment on products that we do not sell, but yes the H11 bulb is compatible with your 8th gen Accord coupe! Here is a link to our H11 bulb for your convenience:

Thank you for your interest. Here is a direct product link: bit.ly/1IQ9imo
Will this kit work for the 2012-2015 Civic Coupe?
Yes! The kit linked in the description works for your Civic.
Great tutorial. Very clear spoken, direct and simple explanations, with good camera angles in addition to a few tips!

Thank you for your interest. Are you referring to a dust cover? If so, you would need to drill a hole in the dust cover in order to feed the wires through. You would want to seal the hole with some electrical tape.
how you replace day time running lights on Honda Accord sedan 2012
I believe the DRLs would project from the highs, which you can access from the hood of the car. Also, you would want to install this 9005 high/DRL kit: www.precisionled.com/premium-9005-cree-led-headlights.html
Nicely done! What about the running day lights? How do I replace them with LEDs?
The DRLs would project from the same bulb as the high beams, so upgrading the highs with LED will also upgrade your DRLs. You can find the high beam kit here: www.precisionled.com/premium-9005-cree-led-headlights.html
So you have to take the wheel off and get inside the fender to do the upgrade. Compared to my current car, that's annoying and dumb
Although removing the wheel is not entirely necessary, it does make the installation easier. Also, it was removed in order to get a better camera shot.
im searching high beam, low beam was easy no need to remove tires
Liked the video. I would like to see a video showing how you built your ramps.
Thanks! We will definitely do one in the future!
With a pair of small hands you can reach this headlight from the hood.
the bulb doesn't rotate far enough to remove :/
Are you sure you are rotating counter clockwise? It may just be a bit tight and you have to use a little bit of (gentle) force!
@@PrecisionLED twisting it to the left yes. It didn’t move very much. I’ll have to prop the car up and take the wheel off like you did and try agajn
You know what no thank you. I'm just going to keep my normal lights.😂
greeat video
Thank you!
Nah I don't think you have to remove the wheel well in a 2008 accord sedan
Does this video apply to the 2011 accord coupe as well?
Thank you for your interest. Yes, the installation process for the 2011 Accord Coupe would be identical to as shown in the video.
